Many manufactured reviews
Many of the doctors are not forthcoming about treatment options. For example serial saline flushes, which are safe and cheap for corticosteroid fat atrophy- but they would rather sell you on higher priced options. Some try to manufacture that they are great doctors, but with additional research you find they are not what they seem. Some doctors incentivize patients for positive reviews, financially or for discounts on treatments. There needs to be an algorithm in place to remove untruthful reviews, such as numerous perfect reviews coming from the same IP address. Unfortunately this site is not trustworthy and please proceed with caution- do your homework on the doctor you select.

MISLEADING
I think it’s a good platform but dislike how all good reviews are at the top and you have to scroll through a lot to see the negative it’s a little bit false, as had I of seen the negative reviews I would have looked for a different surgeon.

Great source of information
Like the real reviews, photo's and people sharing their treatments and surgeries, what to expect, whether it's worth it, etc. Also like the extensive list of doctors/surgeon's with contact info, website information and so forth. Easy to navigate and honestly can't say enough good things about RealSelf - I found my surgeon through them and could NOT be happier!!
