We provide electronic for the RC community. Initially lighting and pyro control systems for night flying and now various sensors and accessories. Everything we make we built because we wanted it, others wanted it too, so we started the site and now sell globally. We manufacture everything ourselves, we do not resell any third party products. RCLightSystems is run by Tom and Charlie Wood, with guidance from their dad, Simon Wood. The majority of the work involves building and assembling the products coupled with a lot of testing. We typically take a year to launch a new product as we want to make sure we have used it ourselves first. Also every single item we ship is hand tested by us.

The expander should have a PC software…
The expander should have a PC software to facilitate the programming. I have had a terrible time trying to program using the button and the light sequence. It is extremely fast and extremely complicated to be done. The instructions are quite difficult to understand and follow. It should be rewritten to be read by someone that does not know the product.
Tried programming using a Spektrum IX14 (the easier way) and thought that I succeeded following the instructions. Nope. The expander did connect but all the programmed channels did not work. I will try again another day. Today I got so frustrated after almost 4 hours trying that I was ready to return the product. Then I remembered that it come straight from England. Big mistake! Should buy only from dealers in the US with US support.
Gave two stars as the packaging and finish is really nice.

ESC Telemety Converter - works very well
I have bought the ESC Telemetry Converter. It works very well for the telemetry and rotation reverse between Spektrum ESC and JETI RC system. Very simple configuration, works on first step and no problems. I am very satisfied, it was exactly what I needed.

SPEKTRUM AR631 RX compatible 4 port expander
After communicating with the owner (Simon) regarding parameters for several of his devices I followed through with my purchases. Simon asked which RC plane RX I planned on using his device for and when I told him which Spektrum RX I have he asked if I wanted my Serial Port Expander PRECONFIGURED !!!
My items just arrived today AND both Expanders were ALREADY programmed for the Port # Channels I requested !!!
Simon has top notch Customer Service for sure, thanks Simon 👍

Simon was very responsive to my specific issues and helpful with specific information and also referenced materials. Communication was via e mail; which suited me well being on a different time zone. Their was also an openness and honesty which I found refreshing. My issues were solved within a couple of days; most of which I have to admit were my lack of research or simple operational errors on an interrelated software system. Very happy to recommend this company. I was impressed that they are also expanding their test equipment capabilities; following my interaction.
