Working with Jessica at RateHub was the best experience I’ve had purchasing several homes over the last 4 decades!

I was pleasantly surprised how quickly she responded to all my emails and made herself available for a call when I preferred to talk to her. She was incredibly knowledgeable and guided my husband and I (and our adult son who also purchased his first home). I was nervous about working with a mortgage broker as I’ve always dealt directly with a bank. This was so much better in every way including costs as Jessica found the best rate for us initially and then negotiated a further reduction before closing.

Process and Rate hub's system was smooth. But real champion was Priyavadan. He was excellent and very patient and made sure that we were on top of everything. Being first time home buyer the process was stressful sometimes. But that is the process itself and once you are through it starts to make sense. Will definitely recommend Priyavadan further.

The worst thing I did was deal with these people. I do not recommend. The absolute worst experience I have ever had. They don’t communicate drag out the whole process and have no sense of urgency. A complete waste of time. Unprofessional and incompetent.

We really regret not going with a local broker. At Ratehub, we were just a number and there wasn’t much care or attention put into getting our mortgage finalized until it was almost too late.

They’d say paperwork was submitted, but it often wasn’t until the very last minute, if at all.
It was hard to get a hold of anyone, and our broker suddenly went on vacation the week before closing without letting us know. The person who took over didn’t have all the info, so after weeks of correspondence, it felt like we were starting from scratch just days before closing.

We got wrong numbers, empty promises, and a lot of “don’t worry” when we definitely should have been worried. There was no planning ahead, just urgent, last-minute requests for documents that an experienced broker should have seen coming.

We only closed on time because we agreed to a smaller loan and a higher interest rate than what we were originally told. The stress wasn’t worth it. Save yourself the headache and go with a local broker who actually takes the time to handle your file properly.

I would give them 0 stars if I could. We got 3 quotes for home insurance for Alberta and when I contacted the brokers the prices tripled or they couldnt even give us insurance. Huge waste of time. Total bait and switch. I plan to complain to the BBB it was that bad. I also left voicemails for one broker - Jessica Hepburn and she never called back but kept sending me auto emails to contact her - absolutely crap service

3 quotes but once you contact each broker for the said quote the costs spiral..... just gets you hooked in on the cheap rates even if you input all the details of the property. Complete garbage site dont waste your time!

After preapproval 120 days early, credit review, Canwise/Ratehub dropped my application 2 weeks before its current term ends, leaving me with no time to get another mortgage. No valid reason provided.

Do not rely on this lender and broker for your mortgage - they are totally unreliable.

If I had dropped out 2 weeks early I am sure they would have billed me.

I had the pleasure of working with Priyavadan Katariya to transfer my mortgage to a new lender. I don’t often leave reviews, but I felt it was necessary in this case.

Pri was fantastic—patient, knowledgeable, incredibly responsive—and trust me, I had a lot of questions and was probably a bit of a pain! He walked me through the process with ease and got me a great 5-year fixed rate.

Thanks again, Pri! I’ll be in touch in five years.
