SCAM SCAM SCAM

You pay insurance for free cancellation and then they charge you 20% cancellation fee plus another service fee!!! There is no costumer service they just forward you in a chat or!! Scam scam scam

After reviewing your booking, we can see that your ticket's standard fare conditions allowed a refund with a 20% cancellation fee, which is the refund processed through our website.

The Cancel For Any Reason (CFAR) Protection works differently. It is an independent rail trip protection service, and cancellations under this protection cannot be processed through the Rail Europe website. Instead, a claim must be submitted directly to the CFAR provider, who reviews and handles claims according to their own terms and conditions.

The steps for submitting a CFAR claim, along with our dedicated guide explaining how the protection works, are included in the booking confirmation email sent after purchase. We understand this may not have been clear at the time, and we appreciate your feedback as it helps highlight where we can improve communication.

Excellent site to book train travel

Excellent site to book train travel. Very easy to navigate and make comparisons. Very quick and I was able to make my selection and payment simply. Would definitely recommend to anyone wanting train travels through Europe.

I bought the insurance through Koala

I bought the insurance through Koala, and, I had to cancel my train 2 hours after booking it becuase I realized I put in a wrong birthday...... So, because I had insurance, I thought that it wouldn't be an issue, but, the insurance company (Koala) makes it super hard and almost impossible for you to actually get the money wired to an account in the US.

Easy to book from St Pancras to Orleans

Easy to book from St Pancras to Orleans.
I wanted to book one traveller from Cardiff to Orleans and a second one from Swindon to Orleans. But I couldn't find how to get the scheduling to allow us totake the same trains: so I had to book cardif / Swindon to St Pancras separately, which was a shame.

At the Kassel train station

At the Kassel train station, the wait to buy a ticket at the office was ridiculous, and there were only 3 staff members while a lot of people were waiting; I just went and bought it online. I had to buy the later train ticket because the online site did not provide the most recent one, so I just bought the next available time online.

Regarding the availability of the later train online, rail carriers may apply booking cut-off times for same-day travel. In some cases, tickets are not made available for purchase shortly before departure, particularly when there is limited time remaining for the reservation process to be completed. As a distributor, Rail Europe follows the availability and booking conditions provided by the rail operators.
