Material issues after a 6-month audit of deliverables
We hired Qera Marketing (they contract as SEO 7x, LLC) back in July 2024 for SEO at $1,490 per month. After going through their deliverables from October 2025 through March 2026 (five monthly performance reports, four backlink reports, and six bi-weekly fix reports), we ended the agreement.
Here's what the audit turned up:
Qera's final response revealed that the "content" they kept referring to was actually hidden text. What they deployed were display:none divs containing headings and paragraphs that site visitors never see, placed in the HTML only for search engines to read. This technique is a spam policy violation under Google's public guidelines ("using CSS or HTML styling to visually hide text... display:none") and can trigger manual or algorithmic ranking penalties on our domain. We were never told that the "content optimizations" being sold to us were being delivered this way, or that our domain was being exposed to that kind of risk. No new user-visible content (blog posts, landing pages, or product copy) was published to our site during the six-month audit period.
On-page fix counters for things like title tags, meta descriptions, and missing headings were identical on every bi-weekly report from October through March. Qera later admitted in writing that these counters weren't being updated.
Work claimed during January, in a period when their collaborator access to our store had been lost. Which means the changes couldn't have actually shipped live.
The "Cloud Stack" backlinks turned out to be resold output from a third-party SaaS (SearchAtlas / LinkGraph's OTTO), not custom link-building.
On-site technical SEO was being delivered through a base64-encoded JavaScript loader pointing at a Qera-controlled URL, rather than a normal, readable script tag. That's not how legitimate third-party tools usually get installed on a client site.
A GTM container ID mismatch was sitting in our theme code between the JavaScript loader and the noscript fallback. The kind of thing a monthly SEO retainer is supposed to catch.
No keyword ranking data in any monthly report, even though the template had a "Keyword Rankings" section.
Monthly reports were largely just repackaging our own GA4 figures.
Communication was responsive, but the substance of the work didn't match what we were paying for. If you're considering them, I'd ask upfront for sample URL-level work logs, a content publication plan, clarity on whether the backlink "stacks" are actually custom or just resold SaaS output, whether any tools they install on your site are being marked up from a SaaS you could license directly, and explicit confirmation that any "content" they deploy will be visible to site visitors and compliant with Google's spam policies.
Stay Away
I really wanted this to work, but my experience with Quera was extremely disappointing.
I signed on because I was told they would do a full audit, competitor analysis, build out a strategy, and deliver high-quality backlinks from real publications. That’s not what happened.
From the start, I had to chase down basic deliverables. The audit, competitor analysis, and strategy were not provided upfront — I only received anything after multiple follow-ups and eventually escalating to leadership.
The “strategy” itself was vague and not actionable. It was things like “increase traffic” and “improve rankings,” but no real plan, no prioritization, no timeline — nothing tied to my site or what it would actually take to rank.
The backlinks were the biggest issue. I was promised high-quality editorial backlinks. What I got instead were cloud-hosted pages, profile links, and random blog-style sites. This is not what was sold. (please research cloud links - It is technically a backlink, but Google doesn't even recognize them as legitimate, so you can pay for dozens and it won't improve your rankings at all).
Even after I raised concerns and was promised they would “make it right” and provide extra backlinks, the updated report was the same — just more of those types of links.
On top of that, I was charged for Month 2 before Month 1 deliverables were even fully provided. Month 2 was billed, but the work tied to that billing was never actually delivered. I asked for a refund and was told no.
Another red flag — I was told my site didn’t need many technical fixes, but when I reviewed the report myself, I found that my site speed was extremely slow. That’s a foundational SEO issue and it was never caught or addressed until I pointed it out.
At that point, it honestly felt like I was managing the work instead of the agency.
And here is a big thing, I also took the time to reach out to a few business owners featured on their website as success stories to ask about their experience, and several shared that they had similar issues, saw not benefit or improvement in rankings, and are no longer working with them. This alone makes me question their 5 star reviews if the brands they feature as success stories on their website quit their services.
To be fair, leadership did respond when I escalated, but by then I had already spent a lot of time chasing answers and trying to get clarity on what was actually being done.
Overall, this felt like a major mismatch between what was sold and what was delivered. I would strongly recommend going with a different agency. I'm not new to SEO. I did my due dilligence beforehand and asked all the right questions. They said all the right things yet delivered something vastly different.
Severely severely overpriced for the work
We've had audits done for works completed cannot believe we have been so ripped off. You can find this 10x cheaper elsewhere and we have. We've had the works completed audited by several third party companies and all have said the same. Also the team didn't pick up that our conversions were being double tracked and duplicated (very suss) which meant we were paying double the amount. This was picked up by the head office of the platform and several other companies. When questioned they advised they could not see the issue and refused to issue a partial refund (we were literally asking about 5% of what we paid which is nothing) and also took six weeks to get this response. They just want your money and nothing else. Please please go elsewhere, much better companies out there, biggest waste of money our business has ever had. Do your research, you can get this SOOOO much cheaper elsewhere, we could have saved tens of thousands.
Qera cured me from being sick of agencies
We run a mid size ecom brand and have worked with more agencies than I’d like to admit. Most of them overpromised, sent pretty reports, and not much else. Qera has def over delivered!!
Leonard and the team were super clear from day one about timelines and expectations
communication is fire and we always knoww what they’re working on.
Exceptional and pleasant experience
I’ve had the chance to work with Qera Marketing a few times now, and honestly, they’re just really good people to work with. They’re patient, they listen, they explain things when needed, and they never make you feel stressed or rushed.
What I like the most is that they actually care about doing things right. You can see the effort, the attention to detail and the pride they put into their work. Every time I’ve worked together, everything went smoothly.
It’s rare to find a team that’s easy and pleasant to work with. I’m genuinely happy to recommend them.
I’ve been doing SEO myself for years so…
I’ve been doing SEO myself for years so I’m very particular about who we hire. We’ve been with Qera around 8 months now and I’ve checked their work pretty closely and it’s been legit. They fixed a lot of issues that had been sitting on our site forever, cleaned up stuff I didn’t even know was causing problems, rebuilt our internal linking and the content strategy makes sense.
The thing I noticed most was the quality of the backlinks. Most agencies sell you links that look good on paper but don’t actually help. These ones did. Several of our main keywords went from page 2 to top 3 and have stayed there. Traffic is up every month and revenue from SEO has been climbing too.
I’ve seen some people complain about timelines with SEO but honestly if you know SEO you know it doesn’t work fast. Everything they told us in the beginning lined up pretty close to how it unfolded. No surprises and no random drops in communication which I appreciated.
Good team and solid work.
Reason for 4 stars: I will come back after 12 months to report on specific revenue increase. Everything is on track now, but want to wait to be accruate.
Two years across multiple brands
We’ve been working with Qera for about two years now and it’s honestly been the most reliable SEO partnership we’ve had. We run an company that manages multiple ecommerce brands, so we’ve tested a lot of providers before settling on Qera. Most agencies talk a big game and then outsource everything or disappear after onboarding, but Qera has been steady and consistent since day one.
The biggest win for us has been how predictable the results are. Several of our brands went from SEO being a rounding error to organic becoming one of the main revenue channels. A few even hit their first seven figure year in organic sales which we never managed with previous partners. The backlinks they build actually move rankings which hasn’t been our experience with other companies.
Communication has been professional and straightforward. When things were slower in the early months they explained what was happening and why instead of trying to dodge questions. SEO hasn’t ever been “overnight results” in our experience, so we appreciated the honesty from the start. Once everything compounded, the growth stuck.
If someone is expecting SEO to turn around a struggling business in a couple months, they’ll probably be disappointed no matter who they hire. But if you understand long term SEO and you want people who actually do real work, Qera is absolutely worth it. After two years of using them across multiple accounts, they’ve earned our trust.
Really wanted this to work…
I really wanted this to work. I would have gladly paid for even a modest 1–4x ROAS while they advertise an average of 21x. After five months, our ROAS was 0.05 ($7,500 in, $375 out). I’m sure they’ll respond with something like “sessions were up!” or “look at the impressions!” or “it’s a long-term play, just keep feeding the slot machine,” but the numbers that matter speak for themselves.
And just to be clear—this wasn’t a failure to close leads. We received only a handful, qualified one, and closed him.
When I signed up, my sales rep Kobi (who’s since left, go figure) told me their clients typically average 21x ROAS within the first 90 days. I pressed him on that because it sounded crazy, but he confirmed it. That turned out to be a lie — it’s 21x over time, not in the first three months. He also said we could easily reach a domain trust score of 30 in that same period; after three months, we were at a 7.
When I raised these issues (and learned he had left the company), the agency’s idea of “making it right” was to “align expectations moving forward.” In practice, that meant no apology, no change to the payment structure, and no improvement in results.
I 100% understand that SEO is a long-term game. But if a company promises short-term wins on a sales call and then delivers the equivalent of a nice dinner’s return after half a year, it’s not the right partner.
Communication was even more frustrating. Responses often took days, meetings were canceled minutes before starting on multiple occasions, and most of my assigned team operated overseas with only 1-2 hours per day of overlap.
If you’re a small business owner looking for an agency that truly aligns incentives and delivers measurable ROI, look elsewhere. Working with this firm was more work than just learning SEO myself. Honestly, it probably would have been faster and less stressful to go that route.
There’s no free lunch in business. We all learn that as entrepreneurs. But even the most experienced can get drawn in by big promises backed by vague guarantees like “we’ll rank you higher.” Maybe this agency works for large, established firms looking for incremental gains. But if you’re a small business trying to scale, you’re far better off focusing on your product or service and letting that speak to the market.
There are no shortcuts—only the work. Don’t give these yahoos a dollar. Hopefully this helps someone avoid the same mistake I made.

The results so far has been great
The results so far has been great. We started off rocky in the beginning, with not being able to meet because of timezones, but overall my traffic has grown from 400 visitors to 1,000 visitors in 4 months. That's really big increase, and has been one of the reasons why i've been able to increase sales every month.
I seen an ad from this company…
I seen an ad from this company mentioning how they will get you ranked in 3 months or they will work for free, this caught my eye and i enquired. We had a zoom call with an individual and he had made it very clear that they will rank any keyword under a certain difficulty on the first page of Google. So we went ahead and agreed to a $2500 per month package. 3 months on out of the 80+keywords they only managed to rank 3 keywords, when we asked them about our agreement they were very quick to point out that by ranking they meant “improving keywords”. I informed them that the first call I had I was given a diffrent definition of ranking they themselves went back and seen the recorded zoom meeting and confirmed that it was an error on their part. This is unethical deceiving and also misselling. If a company is using deceptive techniques to trick you into signing a contract stay well away.
Onto the seo part of things, once you have paid your fee you will be put into a slack channel and be given a manger, my manager was an individual from India who’s English wasn’t the greatest so communication becomes a massive problem we instructed him more than once to remove the irrelevant keywords but he was failed to understand as communication was a massive issue for the whole 3 months. Overall we did see an increase in traffic and also keyword ranking so his knowledge in the seo field can’t be faulted.
Overall I wouldn’t recommend a company that uses deceiving tactics from the very beginning, who later on admits to the error on their behalf but still doesn’t honour the agreement. They did mention it was an error but around January I had the same call with an individual called Jake who also promised the same thing. I contacted them both and they both said they no longer work with the company which I found very strange.

Still new to Qera marketing service, but so far the results have been positive. We're seeing improvements among most keywords and the publications they've made on our behalf are timely and professionally written.
Great team to work with!
Great team to work with and they handle my SEO projects very well!
Props to Qera and Zach Schubert
Was so tired of giving all our money to Meta for stupid returns. I was skeptical but I knew SEO is a foundational part of the business. Always opted for "faster" growth strategies and overlooked SEO, but saw Qera and what they were claiming and had to try. Only thing I can say is that whatever they tell you in they're audit that they'll do for you is the truth lol. Besides that, the team is great to work with and super quick to respond. Props!
Review for QERA – SEO Company
I’ve worked with a handful of SEO agencies over the years, but QERA really stands out. They actually care — about the results, about the process, and about keeping you in the loop the whole way through. No fluff, no vague promises. Just a team that knows what they’re doing and shows you the progress as it happens.
Since partnering with them, our traffic has gone up noticeably, and we’re finally ranking for the keywords that matter to our business. They're easy to talk to, quick to respond, and super sharp when it comes to strategy.
If you're tired of guessing whether your SEO team is doing anything — give QERA a shot. You'll feel the difference fast.

Qera Marketing Changed the Game for Us
Working with Qera Marketing has been one of the best decisions we’ve made for our brand. Julian and Chandi have been amazing—thoughtful, responsive, and genuinely invested in helping us grow. They’ve handled everything from keyword strategy and on-site optimization to backlinks and PR, and the results speak for themselves. They’ve taken so many of our core keywords from the third page of Google all the way to page one—and a lot of them are now in the top five. That kind of progress has been huge for us. But beyond the numbers, it just feels good to work with people who truly care. We’re so grateful to have them on our team.
