Ordered to keep me sane whilst the gyms were closed during the Covid-19 outbreak. I personally love it, well made, quick to build and deconstruct, and far more stable than I had been led to believe in other reviews. Already improved my pull-up and dip capabilities considerably within a week or so.

What I would say is the more you put it together and take it apart the better it comes together so don't be disheartened if it's a little stiff to begin with.

The delivery was also very fast and the customer service I received was fantastic, especially considering we're in the middle of a pandemic! Shout out to Ben at Pullupmate.

I have purchased a few of Pull Up Mate's products in the last few years. The most recent was the Pull Up Mate (tall version) and it is as good as all of the other pieces of kit I have bought.

The build quality has always been perfectly good in my opinion and this one is no exception with the tubular welding points looking as good and sturdy as those you see on tough mountain bike frames. I have read a few reviews of people who have been unfortunate and have issues with the pin holes of various tube sections not lining up properly to allow the safety pins to be securely pushed through but in my experience I have never had this issue. The tolerances that I assume are built-in purposefully have always provided the necessary give to allow tubes to slot together properly, align and have the safety pins pushed through.

I find that even this tall version of the frame is sturdy during use for me. I am by no means a "Bar Wars" champion but I think to make this product wobbly or fall over you must have to really be swinging your body (which you should not really be doing for proper pull up form) or you must be pushing your centre of mass while using it well beyond the limits of what the kit was designed for.

I much prefer this quick setup frame for doing my calisthenic training routines to a door frame hanging piece of kit or anything else. It is a perfect purpose-designed product that allows you to do a huge variety of calisthenic movements safely and with the tall version (for myself at least at 5'11") you can now do proper form pull ups and chin ups (no more bending the knees to get full extension).

The only areas of improvement I can suggest (and these are by no means deal breakers whatsoever) is that the stickers on the tubes don't seem to adhere very well and peel away regularly prompting me to smooth them back down during each use. Perhaps for the companies marketing efforts they might want to look into improving this or maybe moving away from stickers for the branding and safety notices.

The second area of improvement could be the packaging quality. I don't really care as the kits have always arrived in perfectly good order each time I have made a purchase and that is the only thing that really matters but it could be more polished and professional as the company tries to expand its reach to even more clients as they appear to be doing these last few years.

In short, I would recommend this product to anyone looking to improve their pull up and/or chin up strength alone. When you add in all of the other ways that the frames can be used for calisthenic training I believe the product is a no brainer purchase and great value for money.

Ordered a dip bar extension kit and never received it! Multiple emails sent and not one reply.

I ordered my Pull Up Mate a few days ago and it has already arrived which was very quick. It was very easy to assemble and have just done my first workout. Looking at the pictures I was worried a free standing chin up bar might not be sufficiently sturdy but I was wrong. I weigh about 100kg and there was very little movement. Its also very versatile in that you can move it around to perform different exercises. The best part is that you can pack it away in 2 mins and put it in a cupboard, which my wife was very happy about. Great product!

It makes so much noise especially when i do window wipers. I live in a small studio apartment and everyone is able to hear me work out....

Ordered the product late December and it was delivered promptly. Having said that, it was defective with one bar squashed and thus unusable. Contacted customer services who, at the time, were still reachable, and they agreed to send me a replacement part. This took a while, but eventually, I got it. Now (late January) I was finally able to put the bar together and try it out. To my surprise and disappointment, the product proved to be extremely unstable, probably due to the majority of the holes drilled being poorly aligned. The end result is something that is far from sturdy and, to be honest, quite dangerously looking. I am 90kg (so still far from the 110kg advertised by the manufacturer). However, my partner who is 55 kg tried it too with very similar results (the product was bending under her meagre weight too).
Following this disappointment, I tried contacting customer services, both over the phone and by sending them a number of emails asking for a return to be arranged. This was all to no avail as they were unreachable over the phone (the former was in a perpetual state of 'engaged') and I never got a reply to any of my emails (been waiting for two months now)....
I am now engaging the bank and filing for charge back on my card. Would not recommend this company due to the, in my opinion, poor quality of the product sold, and lacking after sales support.

I bought it from Argos in UK. Misaligned pair of holes and missing pair!!!

I ordered the pull up mate 2 and X. I had to use a different PayPal account during the payment process. This led to the order being cancelled on the website, but the payment went through. As a result, the links to the X were expired. When I inquired there were no responses. So, I opened a conflict case via PayPal. Finally, they responded. In good will I closed the conflict case - shouldn't have done that. I received responses from then on but they were neither reassuring, nor helpful. Delivery took 4-5 weeks, I am located in the Netherlands. Decent product, terrible Customer Service, be prepared for it.

Do not order!!

Ordered over 2 weeks ago and the order still shows as pending they kept coming up with excuses as to why it was still pending eventually I have got fed up of waiting and requested a refund.

Well guess what no response and it's been nearly a week now since the refund request. So the company has had my money for over 3 weeks now and done nothing.

Awful company to deal with i'd just not bother.

Ordered over 4 weeks ago and nothing arrived. Zero updates from customer service unless I chased. They mentioned a delay with manufacturing and said it would take 10-14 days. I received no updates at all and after 4 weeks I cancelled the order. I would say the custom service is bad but quite frankly there is none. Not great at all.

Ordered 12 days ago, product still hasn't shipped yet, even though it supposedly ships within 5-7 days.
It's probably a scam, do not buy this. No response from support either. If there's no response within the next 2 days I'm going to file a claim on paypal.

I was looking for a portable pull up (primarily) and dip station (of secondary importance) when I came across the Pull up mate. Having read some good (and some not so good) reviews I decided for the price it was worth a punt and I must say I'm pretty pleased with it. I've purchased the basic model with the carry bag.

Positives
- Ease of use: Took me barely five minutes to put it together (and indeed take it apart). All went together logically without any need for me to peruse instructions.
- Stability: I ready a number of reviews commenting on the sway when the equipment was used and this was something that I was concerned with as I'm a 110kg powerlifter. It does sway (bear in mind I'm at the maximum recommended weight) but not as much as the fixed VKD station that I purchased this to replace. In fact I was pleasantly surprised but what I can only describe as a slight sway - again bear in mind this a portable piece of equipment not a massive heavy unit.
Versatility - I was able to do pull ups, inverted rows and some tucked elbow levers on the base. I didn't include dips today but clearly that as well as a variety of other exercises would be an option.

Negatives
Service - I found the service a little slow with a delay of a few days before receiving a confirmation email to say UPS had collected it and it was on the way. This said it's a relatively minor point with a total of ten days from order to delivery. I've probably just been spoiled a bit by being an Amazon prime customer and expecting everything at my door within 48 hours!
Spares - There doesn't appear to be the option to buy spares for the little clips that hold it all together - I suspect that could prove to be an issue down the line, perhaps something the company will look at.
Bag - The bag is a good size but has only limited padding and little to stop the components bashing against each other. It would also benefit from having an internal pocket in which to keep the clips - again this is a relatively minor pick up.

Overall I am very pleased with this product

Constructive Criticism
1.) Bar is made of metal and thus no grip is possible with sweaty hands. Powder doesnt solve the problem. Had to get pull-up bar tape and place it for grip.
2.) The holes are too far up on the bars, thus the pullup station has problems resting correctly in the fittings and also places too much pressure on the pins. Im 206 lbs, so im rather worried about the durability
3.) Very versatile pice of equipment and can be taken anywhere that is logical to bring with you. Downside is, the bag it comes with is of poor quality and unreliable. Straps should have been included inside the bag to secure equipment, as well as padding to keep pieces from banging against eachother.
4.) Im happy to have this piece of equipment but look forward to the next generation that corrects these issues. Priority should be the pin holes, then the bar grip, then the bag.

This has to be a scam. Anyone claiming to have received their item is most likely a fake account.
