The environment scan process took 45 minutes, which felt excessive. Being repeatedly (over 7-8 times) asked to rescan the room, walk to the other side of my desk and office, open drawers on the other... See more

The questions and answers are 100% set up for you to fail. In order to generate an income they need you to pay for exams and when they can get you back to pay for multiple exams, it benefits them. I’ve taken multiple exams for different certifications through psi and the way the questions are constructed. It makes all of the answers acceptable leaving you guessing to the interpretation of whoever wrote the exam. Basically, if you guess right on the exam you pass.
It shouldn’t be this way. It should be asking a clear question and putting the right answer as a choice, and not multiple right answers and relying on the interpretation of an answer by the person writing it.
Beware of this if you’re going to be using PSI.

The center was noisy as the other test takers were very closeby. Some moving on the chairs and others typing it very loud. The seat was very uncomfortable because it did not had any hand rest. I had to sit on that chair for my entire test period uncomfortably.

I was not shown how to use the test format, the attendants were of no help. I couldn't go back and review answers I was unsure of.

This company charge me $60 for their test that I could not complete I answered only two questions out of 150, nowhere and instruction does it say that you cannot leave the test, previous NPS that I took allowed to continue the test later so when I exited the test it submitted final results with only two questions answered; I called the company emailed to many different email support numbers including WTA and others and nobody was able to help, team from WTA didn't even answer to two of my emails that I sent them. I called the company and they told me nothing can be done, a few other emails responded as robot response without addressing nor providing any solution to my problem, the only solution was to buy their test again. I only asked for them to send the same exact test to me so I could retake it, it should not be so difficult I paid money for it I have the receipt, yet nobody was able to help

I have taken 10 exams through PSI and I have yet to have one decent experience dealing with PSI. Every single time I deal with communication issues with a remote proctor that typically can't seem to understand basic English or concepts. I think they're using AI chatbot proctors now. They don't seem to understand the rules that my organization sets for their exam environment or check in process. They are either unwilling or incapable of assisting or explaining the check in and testing environment process. In person proctors are almost just as useless. The software crashes constantly or is too slow to function costing valuable time on the tests. One time the software froze and I couldn't single the proctor or quit the program and it costed me 30 minutes off the ticking clock. Last time I waited for almost an hour past my exam time for an available proctor to check me in. I wish I could give it 0 stars 10 times, once for every terrible experience. All of my collogues have gone through the exact same process with the same issues. Anyone giving it more than 2 stars has to be a bot or paid.

I paid over $200 to take the Nevada C-2G Photovoltaic Contractor License exam, and it's incredibly frustrating that PSI provides absolutely no practice exams or study materials for this test. I have to pay another $100 to talke it in the near future.
When I contacted customer support asking for preparation resources, I was told that because the exam is "too small of a niche," there aren't any practice materials available. They simply directed me to the "Prepare" tab, but there is nothing there for the C-2G Photovoltaic exam.
It's hard to understand how PSI can administer and charge hundreds of dollars for a licensing exam without offering any official practice tests, sample questions, or meaningful study resources. Candidates are expected to pass an exam they have no way to properly prepare for through PSI's platform.
Customer support was not helpful and only repeated the same response instead of providing a solution. If PSI is going to offer specialized licensing exams, they should also provide the resources necessary for candidates to prepare. This experience has been extremely disappointing.

I contacted PSI to report an incorrect answer on a paid practice exam. It took considerable time for the customer service representative to understand my issue, as they seemed unfamiliar with the system and the required tests. I was then placed on hold for over 20 minutes, which made me feel as though my call would not be answered, so I eventually hung up. I do not recommend PSI's exam prep, as it contains incorrect answers.

The girl Jessica at the front desk is not very helpful and doesn’t seem like she wants to help or even be there at that. Rita kept walking in distracting me during the test constantly. It was very distracting to the point I lost focus numerous times.

I had an extremely distressing experience at the PSI testing center in Middleburg Heights, OH on June 30, 2026.
While I was checking in with Angel, another staff member, Carrie, repeatedly yelled instructions at me from across the room and threatened to report me, even though I was actively trying to follow every rule.
I arrived wearing a zip-up sweater. Carrie yelled that it was considered outerwear and said she would report me. I apologized, explained that I did not realize my sweater was considered prohibited outerwear, and immediately offered to remove it. Because my exam was three hours long, I asked whether I could wear a button-up denim shirt that I had in my car. She said that would be acceptable. However, when I returned wearing the denim shirt, she again yelled at me and threatened to report me for not following the rules.
I was instructed to remove all electronics. I disclosed that I was wearing an Oura Ring and was initially told that it was acceptable. Before I had completed the check-in process and packed my electronic items away, I went to use the restroom with my phone. Carrie yelled that she was going to report me for taking my phone into the restroom, even though I had not yet completed check-in or entered the testing area. She also later yelled at me about my Oura Ring, despite my having disclosed it and initially being told that it was permitted.
I repeatedly stated that I wanted to follow all instructions and asked her to clearly tell me what I needed to do because I was receiving conflicting directions. Rather than calmly clarifying the rules, she continued raising her voice and threatening to report me.
Carrie also searched me with a handheld metal detector and checked my glasses with the metal detector three separate times. By the end of the interaction, I was emotionally overwhelmed, deeply distressed, and visibly shaken. It took me approximately 10 minutes to regain my composure before beginning a high-stakes, three-hour examination.
I understand and respect the need for strict testing security. However, security procedures should be communicated clearly, consistently, and respectfully. No examinee should begin an important professional examination after being repeatedly yelled at, threatened, and given conflicting instructions.
I have never experienced treatment like this in a professional testing environment.

Study materials are an absolute scam and don’t help anyone. Wouldnt refund even though I called 10 minutes after opening

The 5.5 hour test requires 23 books, you do not allow enough space to organize and use the books, proctor said I could not pull up an additional desk even though one is available.
Test centers need to have a restroom within the facility so valuable time is not wasted going thru re-entry scan. Also proctor did not allow more than one person in the room at a time, so we had to wait in the hall.

I had an extremely frustrating experience with PSI Testing due to the lack of clear instructions for accessing my online exam.
After paying for my exam, I received a confirmation email, but it only contained rules about the testing environment (no phones, no documents, etc.). What it failed to include were clear, step-by-step instructions on how to actually access the exam. There was no direct link to the PSI login page, no explanation that I needed to log into the website myself, and no guidance for first-time test takers.
I assumed I would receive an email with a link to join my exam on the day of testing. When nothing arrived, I waited, thinking it might be sent 15 minutes before the exam. It never came. I had to call customer service, and only then was I told that I needed to log into the PSI website to access my test.
By the time I finally got that information, I had run out of time and missed my exam. As a result, I now have to pay an additional fee to reschedule.
To make matters worse, customer service was not helpful. Instead of feeling supported during an already stressful situation, I was left feeling overwhelmed and frustrated. I was so upset that all I could do was cry. This entire experience could have been avoided if PSI had simply included a direct link to the website and clear instructions in the confirmation email.
For a company that administers important licensing and certification exams, the process should be much more user-friendly, especially for first-time test takers. No one should have to miss an exam and pay extra because of unclear instructions.
Oh and in my unpopular opinion, I think TDLR should use Person Vue for ALL their licensing and certification tests. I had a much better experience with them.

The test questions were formated very similarly to the test and gave me a better idea on how to study. I used Vet Tech prep and the information they have was helpful but the test questions weren't that similar.
