I have used ProofreadingPal many times for resumes, cover letters, and general business documents The vast majority of the time, I have been very satisfied with their service. However, there have been a couple of times when I was not completely satisfied. However, I did not contact customer service, so I don't know their willingness to correct issues.

In the writing/editing/proofreading world, it can be difficult to be sure if you can trust who you are paying money to work with, because there are just so many people offering up their services these days and the majority of them look like scams. So when I had to have one of my major books go through a professional edit/proofread, I sought out their services. And they do let you have a taster of the experience with a sample proofread by 2 proofreaders. I found the output pretty good and proceeded onto a paid 7-day turnaround for my full manuscript. And wow, the final copy came back to me in less than 4 days. My proofreader goes by Laraine Uranga and I just want to shout her out here as she did an impeccable job with my manuscript, which had alot of formatting issues as well as I had converted it from pdf initially. Thank you Laraine! They are also quick with their customer service and reply pretty promptly. All in all, a really good experience and I will definitely use their services again. Almost PP... almost.
I was writing a business book and approached PP in the hope that they could help me fine-tune it.
The customer service up front was nice. The proofreaders delivered on time. However, the quality of the proofreading was a little disappointing.
I am not a native English speaker. So I was hoping that PP would help me formulate my sentences better. After two "professional proofreaders" had gone through my book, I gave the results to two British friends. Both independently pointed out that the sentence structure and choice of words needed to be revised.
They did, however, find some errors, for which I am grateful.
