I had a wonder experience with Raya!

I had a wonder experience with Raya in the Pravens Milton Keynes branch.
Her and the team went above and beyond to make sure the necklace I wanted was ordered in from another store for my Christmas present! And she helped me pick out the perfect pair of earrings to match.
Great service, would highly recommend her and the team.

Shockingly bad

Shockingly bad.
Ordered surprise half eternity ring for wife (26th wedding anniversary)
Ordered in good time for delivery to my property.
I get notified that ring will arrive on time
I then get contact from Jessica at Pravins Cardiff that item will now be sent to the store ! And then sent out from Cardiff.
(I needed the ring prior to taking my wife away for an anniversary short break)
I was PROMISED by Jessica that Pravins would contact me Sat 3rd to advise as soon as the ring arrived in Cardiff. ( Bear in mind this item had a delivery date for 3rd Jan to come in the mail to my property.
I received no such contact from Cardiff.
I had to chase up on Sunday and no one appears to have any idea of afore mentioned promise of contact to myself.
By now I have to make an unplanned and stressful journey to Cardiff, pay parking charges and lose time from our anniversary break to collect the ring.
In contact with Pravins I suggested some form of reparation for the failed delivery and costs incurred (Fuel parking charges and time) in having to collect a ring that was supposed to have been delivered to my home as per Pravins online order.
Jessica appears to have no concern or regard for my poor and disgusting treatment and has no interest in restoring my trust in Pravins so I am left with no choice but to out this feedback to warn and hopefully help others to avoid the same experience.
I sincerely hope that Pravins actually engage with my concern and resolve this issue though an internal investigation.

Very disappointed and would never…

Very disappointed and would never recommend , especially so by the follow up customer service and lack of acknowledgment of supplying a defective item .
Purchased a diamond platinum ring , resized in store at a cost to me .

Wore for less than three months and one of a row of diamonds lost . Returned to store, expecting an apology and a replacement ring for selling an evidently poor quality( expensive ) item , however to be told that they will not accept responsibility for the item , claiming the damage had been caused by myself and that a further diamond was also damaged, needing replacement . Hence would require significant repair costs . Also informed that the cause was likely from the ring being too large , despite Pravins measuring for resizing at the outset .

The customer service when seeking to address the issue was astonishing , refusal to accept responsibility and lacking transparency by stating they would refer to their director for further assistance, later discovering the person I had met was a director of the company.
Totally lacked empathy and integrity.

Unpleasant experience

Unpleasant experience in Pravin's store in the Oracle, Reading.

I was there to buy refills for my Mont Blanc pen. What should have been a two minute visit to the store, a simple transaction turned out to be anything but!

All fine getting refills, but paying for them as a different matter.
A pad of forms was put in front of me with boxes to enter lots of personal details, name address, postcode, contact details etc. I was asked to fill out the form.
I declined and just asked to pay for them but was rather bluntly informed that if I don't provide my personal information I can't buy the refills.
I was told they need my personal details to open an account for me. I told her I don't want an account I just want to buy the refills. I also pointed out that harvesting data was illegal and against GDPR regulations. She picked up the refills and about to walk away when I asked to speak to the Manager. So off she went to get the Manager

The manager appeared and informed me it was unnecessary and I could pay for the refills. I pointed out that the young lady had actually picked up the refills and about to walk away with them because I refuse to provide my details. That is hardly in keeping with her assertion that it is "optional".

But even paying became a problem.
Having paid for them I asked for a receipt. I was given the printout from the card machine. I again asked for the till receipt to which she replied "invoice?". I said no just a till receipt please as proof of purchase.
I was then presented with a full A4 page invoice for the two refills totalling £17.
What on earth am I going to do with an A4 page invoice!!!
Conversely, when I actually paid £400 for the pen from John Lewis and partners, it was a very simple straightforward transaction as if I had bought a shirt. Pravins are problematic, poorly trained or blatant liars and I will not be returning there.

Poor after sales customer service

In 2023, I bought my mother a £500 pearl and diamond necklace for her birthday. She has since worn it less than 10 times and the necklace has broken. She brought it to the store and a staff member sent the necklace off for a repair and told my mother that it would be free under the 10 year guarantee.
We then had a phone call to say that they have assessed the necklace and it was not a manufacturer's issue, and that we would need to pay for the repair.
I have no issue paying for the repair if my mum had broken it or if she wore it every day for the past 2 years. I don't understand the point of a 10 year guarantee if they don't listen to our concerns.
We have previously bought 3 rings from them, and have never raised an issue.
We are sincere people looking for good customer service, and feel very let down with the after sales customer service.

Do not buy your wedding bands here.

We bought our wedding rings at Pravins, expecting quality and care for such an important purchase. Within three weeks, both rings were in very poor condition – completely unacceptable for something meant to last a lifetime.

We returned to the store and were told the rings would be sent to their head office for assessment. We were left without our rings during this time, which was upsetting enough. After the wait, the rings were returned to us without any solution offered – no repair, no replacement, and no accountability.

We felt dismissed and let down. For such sentimental and valuable items, we expected better service and support. Instead, we were treated like an inconvenience. Very unhappy customers, and sadly cannot recommend Pravins based on this experience.

pravins order number 30791423 i ordered a 18 carat heavy curb chain and when it was ready to be dispatched i was checking the tracking and all of a sudden it said your item has been signed with a photo of a box, i ran out to see if my delivery has been left anywhere i contacted pravins and the lady was not polite to me in my need for support has i had not received my order, so a few days went by i had a description, then managed to find where my product went in the building, pravins lady arguing with me on phone a very unprofessional lady she needs to go on a course in communication, customer service excellence, it do not cost anything to be polite. weight of chain 11 grams cost £ 1,750 pounds this one solid, some of there chains are hollowed out, hollowed out chains cost more.

Mutton dressed as lamb. A high-street shop level of service but for a real jewellers prices

I have accounts at various jewellers. And honestly the buying is almost as good as the pieces themselves. Good jewellery is as much feeling, story and desire, captured in metal and stone. The prices at Pravins may make you feel that you are going to a higher end store than you actually are. But what a shame to waste your money here when bigger brands offer pieces in this price range but offer the real luxury of knowing their pieces and who designed them and can recognise and tell you about their pieces. This highstreet store could not and ruined what should have been a lovely moment for me.

Shocking 100% price hike in just 30 minutes

Visited Saturday 26 October 2024 at the Reading branch.
Great introduction to some jewellery items and offer of drinks as well.
Was offered 9 carrot jewellery made to order ( by Pravins) for £995 which we went away for about 30 minutes to think about it and came back to order.
Then was told rather abruptly and unsympathetically by the same assistant that the manager said the price of gold had gone up and the price had now doubled to £1850. Which happened to be nearly the same price as an identical 18 carrot gold version of the same product.

As you can imagine my wife was rather upset by this unprofessional price hike behaviour and very disingenuous excuse given which was so insensitive as it was a 60th birthday present for her.

If the jeweller tells you that 9 carrot gold prices have gone up by 100% in 30 minutes, do they know the difference between lab made diamonds or cubic zirconia and real diamonds? Stay well clear!

A special thanks, grazie.

I purchased my wife’s engagement ring and wedding band, along with with my wedding ring from Reading Pravins. The whole experience from start to finish has been exceptional, excellent customer service especially from Emma and Francesca.

Every visit myself and Roberta are warmly welcomed, and I can’t thank them enough for their expertise. Always on hand for help and any questions, nothing is too much trouble.

Thanks again to you both, you are a credit to the company.

Exceptional Customer Experience

My fiancé and I recently visited the Pravins Reading branch and had an exceptional experience with Andre. We were just beginning our search for wedding bands, and Andre took the time to guide us through all the different options, explaining the various types and sizes in detail. It was truly refreshing to receive such personalised customer service that perfectly suited where we were in the process.

After our first visit, we felt well-informed and even visited other jewellers, equipped with the wealth of knowledge Andre provided. Although we had the option to save £200 elsewhere, we chose to return to Pravins solely because of the outstanding service we received from Andre. His expertise and customer care made all the difference

Fantastic personalised service

Every time we have been in to Pravins in Cardiff Jared Cornish has made it an amazing experience. We have been in several times over the last few months in preparation for our upcoming wedding and the service we have received has been second to none. Jared’s advice has been invaluable in creating some perfect bespoke jewellery. Recommend to all

Well where to start!

Well where to start!! Cardiff store!
After purchasing an engagement ring from goldsmith's and them misshaping and damaging it during the resizing process I took it back to them and received the world's worst customers service and a complete refusal to take any accountability for what they had done and damage caused. On leaving goldsmith extremely agitated, upset and angry my fiance and myself popped our heads into Pravins to look for wedding rings.
We were greeted by Molly who to be honest had a bit of a frosty reception from me based on what had previously happened in goldsmith's. However we got talking and she talked me into looking at a wedding band sat down was offered a beer and asked if everything was alright, to which I replied well no not really to be honest. After a good conversation and Molly also talking me through the fact they can make anything I wanted out of any of the materials they offered, I started to perk up abit. I then asked if they had anything to match the engagement ring my fiance was wearing, during this time Molly had asked Stephanie the diamond manager to have a look at the engamemt ring to see if there was anything they could do with it. Stephanie was absolutely fantastic not only explaining what they could do with the engagement ring but also talked me through getting the wedding ring made in 18crt white gold and adding more diamonds to it to match the engagement ring which was music to my ears. We both decided to have them made the way described by Steph and Molly. After we'd chosen and sorted the rings and designs she also told me that the engagement ring could be sent to covent garden to be reset and made to size. This was absolute music to my ears when she described the process and what would be done. Well.. we have received the rings back and we are absolutely over the moon, overwhelmed and just extmely happy with the process and service received!! I really can't stress that enough. We are delighted and I have told anyone who'll listen what Pravins have done for us and I will 100% be shopping with them in future. Stephanie and Molly are a credit to the store and the service received by Georgia on collection of the rings was also second to non.
Outstanding Jewelers!!

Thank you,
Nikki and Dale

Excellent customer service and amazing product

From the very first moment of stepping into Pravins, my experience has been nothing but positive.

Myself and my partner were shopping in Reading town centre around Christmas time when we walked past. I suggested to her to have a look at some engagement rings as one day I would want to propose and had no idea what she liked or what size her finger was. She obliged and we made it known that we were merely interested and had no desire to get engaged at that point.

Nevertheless, Aimee took all of the details and sent them across in an email which was an absolute godsend for when the time was right.

A few months ago I got back in touch with Aimee. Aimee was so helpful and not the least bit pushy. She is very educated and is happy to share her knowledge freely without being condescending. Honestly, she’s been a dream to deal with.

After placing the order, Pravins sent me CAD drawings and kept me up to date with progress without bombarding me or sending regular emails which could have been seen by my partner.

The ring arrived ahead of time and was absolutely perfect. I had an upgrade in terms of colour as it was readily available which was just amazing.

Since proposing myself and my partner have been back in the store where Aimee tested the ring and advises having it taken down one size complimentarily. Whilst my partner didn’t want to take it off just yet, she agreed and they suggested her using it for some upcoming events and then sending it off to be amended.

I really can’t say enough positive things about the experience and am so glad I used Pravins and Aimee. Several times throughout my career I’ve been asked ‘what does good customer service look/feel like?’ My answer now would be Aimee and Pravins.

Thank you very much.

Not the quality you pay for

Customer service in store is great and can’t fault them. It was the first time buying from Pravins but won’t be returning to buy anything else, quality is awful. My husband bought me a diamond eternity ring to wear as I’d stopped wearing my engagement and wedding rings, and the fact I’d waited 7 years for one.
First couple of months it was so tarnished. Pravins offered to take it back and dip free of charge. A couple of months later it is yellow again and the claws holding the diamonds are yellow. I don’t wear the ring with my wedding or engagement rings. I take off to shower and clean to look after it and it’s yellow. I’ve never had a ring that tarnishes so quickly and badly, I’ve had my wedding and engagements dipped once in 5 years! Certainly not worth thousands of pounds in my eyes and wish we’d bought from our usual jewellers.

Love this shop

Love this shop, particularly Cardiff. Bit pricey but the service is always appreciated. I’m always met with smiles and love that I can drop in to have rings cleaned whenever I pass by. The only issue would be the sizing of the rings they tend to get adjusted too loose or too tight for me so end up having to be resized often which costs more but otherwise great company!
