- We fully understand the frustrations you are feeling under the current situation due to the steep increase in prices. Energy markets have hit record highs which have caused major problems across the energy industry. We trust the following provides some reasoning for the increases: CNG forward bought your gas usage when the wholesale market was considerably lower than today, this enabled you to be on the rate you were previously on. Unfortunately, when CNG went into administration these hedges / forward purchases ended. The knock-on effect of this is that Pozitive Energy inherited your supply at the current market rate which is significantly higher. After a rigorous tender process Pozitive Energy was appointed the “supplier of last resort” (SoLR) During this process deemed / out of contract prices were strictly agreed with Ofgem As Pozitive Energy was appointed the supplier of last resort no hedges could be put in place as you have no contract with us, therefore the current market rate is applicable. Unfortunately, the rate you were previously on to the rate you are on now is significantly more, however, we are forced to buy and supply you at these rates. Our fixed term contracts are far more competitive than our deemed pricing and we would encourage everyone to get in touch with our Customer Care team to discuss a fixed term contract with us. After 12 months of incorrect billing
After 12 months of incorrect billing , I have contacted PE - 12 times in the last two weeks to try to resolve this issue. I get back standard emails stating they are investigating but no action. They consistently raise bills with the wrong company name on it. Poor service and platitudes. After many years in business + dealing with tens of Suppliers - PE is my worst experience- don’t touch them. Unless you like hassle.

We have reviewed the account and can confirm that there is currently no outstanding balance on the account. The business name has also been updated in line with the details provided when the Change of Tenancy was processed. The site has a smart meter installed, and we are receiving actual meter readings from the meter. The bills have therefore been generated using the actual consumption data received, and our records show that the account has been billed correctly.

1 Star — Absolutely Avoid
Terrible company and an absolute nightmare to deal with. We repeatedly contacted Pozitive Energy by phone and email trying to pay and resolve an issue, but were told they couldn’t find our account and couldn’t help us without an account number we had never been given.
Now, over two years after we left the property, they’re suddenly chasing us for a substantial bill that we had already tried to resolve.
The most frustrating part is that we were actively trying to sort this out and they made it impossible to do so. Their lack of communication and customer service has turned what should have been a simple issue into a serious dispute.
Extremely poor service. Avoid this company if you can, I would rank it in the negative if I could.

When you provided the meter photograph, we were able to identify and locate the relevant account held with Pozitive Energy.
We would also clarify that the account we located is not registered in your personal name; it is held under the business name associated with the property. We appreciate that you may not have had the account number available, but the meter details allowed us to identify the relevant account and review the outstanding balance.
