Hope Portmans will consider this feedback
As an international customer I've experienced the following positives and negatives while shopping at portmans online. I really hope Portmans will consider this feedback to improve their business in the future.
Pros:
1) Unique colors that I haven't seen at other brands. As a summer seasonal type I really like some of the colors that portmans offer. E.g: mushroom, storm blue. These muted/cool colors complement my skin tone and generally hard to find at other stores.
2) Elegant work styles.
3) Constant sales and promotions.
Cons:
1) Cheap materials.
2) Free shipping is only offered after spending a lot of money. Other brands e.g. Forever New offer free shipping on orders above 75$ aud.
3) No standard garment measurement listed in the description. E.g: length of garment in size 8. Again, other brands like Forever New include this information in the item description.
4) Not helpful customer service. I tried to ask them for more specific garment measurements regarding a coat, but their response was: either go to the store or consider the generic size table. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ The size table wasn't helpful, and the nearest store is about 13000km away from my location... (I live in Europe)
I sized down, but the waist was so small I also had to buy my regular size.
5) Returning is only possible within 30 days of purchase. It took more than a week to ship my order and almost an other for my order to arrive. That's 14 days after purchase, which leaves only 16 days to return if needed. Return period should be measured only after successful delivery.
