I'm a newcomer to Canada and needed to familiarize myself with the health system as well, but our family had different insurance products in other countries.
That might be a part of the problem. I tried to discover different products and figured out what we needed here. I have a few calls from a broker and probably from a person. After the first call, I felt I was treated like a scammer, but get the quote in sms (odd communication channel, imo). So I forgot about it, but later they called me again, and everything went well, but again the same feeling that I wanted to fool them. and again, we agree on a Zoom call, but no-one contacts me. Finally I bought insurance from a local broker

The experience was good in terms of honesty displayed by the agent , i was explained pros and cons of insurance types in a simple language.

Jiten was professional and walked me through the process, there was no pressure or insistence during the process. He also clarified concerns and ensured that I had enough time to understand the implications as I made the final decision

Jiten was fantastic! We are a young family and so this was definitely not our area of expertise but Jiten was patient, thorough and keen to educate. We had about four conversations but the first two were over 30 mts each because we had a tonne of questions. After the first call I didn’t even bother to talk to any of the other brokers on my list because it was clear Jiten isn’t driven by “making the sale” but really believed in the value of the policies we were discussing.
