Terrible company

So after them confirming my booking the day before emailed me and cancelled the vehicle, I then arranged a different car to rent ,
On arrival at the airport they phoned me to say I had 2 bookings and did I want both ?, as this company has no meeting desk inside the airport you have to find them in the carp park which was not very easy, I then arranged a explained that I had changed the times of the booking and the price was €76, but I was still charged €89 when I showed the agent the price on the web site at 76 he said the price is 89, I found the whole ordeal very substandard meeting people in car parks and the ripping off foreign tourists, I also emailed 4 time for an explanation and surprise surprise no response, I would not recommend this company to anyone

AVOID

Used Pluscar on Lanzarote for five years with no issues.
First time renting from them on Fuerteventura they charged €200 for damage to the car which was there prior to my hire.
They sent pics taken of the damage to the vehicle in a different location to where it was returned.
The little communication from them regarding the issue was met with hostility and aggression.
I will never use them again on any of the islands.

Unprofessional organisation…

Tried to rent a car on Fuerteventura for a few days. Through the Website of PlusCar I made a booking request. I immediately received an e-mail with the message that they would “contact you shortly with a personal confirmation of availability and price.”
It did not come.
Went to the office in Hotel Princess, and had to wait in a queue for 45 minutes before a quite uninterested employee told me there were no cars available for the next few days. Why did I not receive an e-mail on that? Why not post a sign with that info at that office? Why not send a message on the website when one requests a car in a period that no cars are available? (That is how hotel websites work when all rooms are booked!) Unprofessional organisation, PlusCar!

We always book our hire car from plus…

We always book our hire car from plus car they are always the cheapest and include full insurance. They don’t inspect the car before and after like once when we booked through another firm because they had no cars available. The cars are always good car. Never had any issues with them. Cars are alway waiting for you when you get off plane and you just leave in the airport car park on your return with keys under seat it is alway so easy

DON'T BOOK HERE

DON'T BOOK HERE, you will regret that!

Our car got heavily smeared on a general parking area by some idiot in the night on the 21.8.. Pluscar charged us 60 EUR for the cleaning, although it wasn't our fault at all. Not theirs either, right. But they surely have an insurance for situations like this.

However, we paid and they promised us an invoice via email. Guess what, we never received an invoice. They just took 60 EUR and ran away - didn't reply to our emails and didn't help us at the local branch.

They are operating on the edge of legality. You better go to Cicar.

update 2.9.: Plus Car hat uns nun endlich so etwas wie eine Rechnung gesendet. An der Bewertung ändert das jedoch alles in Allem nichts, den für fehlende Kulanz und Kundenorientierung kann ich nicht mehr als 1 Stern geben.

Return early or accept alternative car

Booked online for three days hire, 10.00 hrs to 10.00hrs. Upon collecting the car from the office, was told that the airport office wanted the car so i would have to return it by 19.00 hrs, some 15 hours earlier than I had booked. Was there to be a discount on the price? Not at all! A different vehicle was offered but declined, after all I had booked the car long before the airport office decided they wanted it. Not likely to use this company again.

Funny how companies abroad claim to not …

Funny how companies abroad claim to not understand when you have a problem but two hire cars that develops faults as soon as you fill with fuel is beyond believe especially when the company refuse to reimburse you for the fuel when they change the car due to the fault guess that's how they fuel there cars also why did they need the car back hours before you need to be at the airport for the flight so you end up spending the day stuck at the airport wasting a day of your holiday I have never experienced such poor service from a hire car company especially flying during the day I have even droped cars off out of hours to catch early flights but no

Just got back from Fuerteventura (Aug 2nd)

Just got back from Fuerteventura ( Aug 2nd ) & hired from Plus Car. Booked a Renault Captur & got a Renault Captur. The car had 7,000 kms on the clock & was clean inside & out with no damage to the body or wheels. It was full of fuel & I was told to return it full. I hire 4 cars a year in Spain so before I booked with Plus Car I emailed them & asked if the wheels & tyres were covered by their no excess insurance & was told that the wheels were not covered but if I had a puncture then they would cover that. When I asked the lady who gave me the keys in the car park the same question she said yes the wheels & tyres are covered by our insurance with no excess. Later on when I read the contract it states that wheels, tyres, ignition key & miss fueling is not covered so just be aware of that. I did 1,000kms in the week & had no problems. The return area is a little hard to find as it's not where all the hire cars are so don't follow the car hire return signs, drive on & take the next left & you then enter the normal car park & get a ticket at the barrier. I parked where I initially picked up from & hid the keys & ticket as instructed as they don't check the car back in, you just park & walk off. This info is only valid now as the car park area is under construction so could change at anytime. I mention it because I followed the other hire car return signs & spent 15 minutes driving around looking at rows of Hertz & Pay Less cars parked up but no Plus Car till I realised I was I the wrong car park! I highly recommend Plus Car & will be using them again in lanzarote in 3 weeks time so will review again after that.
