Please stay away from this company. The communication is extremely slow they are cheaters and time wasters. I wanted my own badge on the place it took more than 10 days to email forth and back to actually agree on something because they’re so ignorant as they take at least 24 hours or more to reply. They initially said £60 plus postage on a standard plate with my logo. I agreed but at the end when payment was going to be made the asked £70 + postage. I emailed them saying that we agreed on £60 + postage. They emailed me back saying that due to high demand they cannot do this for me. What a cheaters, liars with stinking attitude. Companies like that do not deserve to be on business.

Ordered front and rear plates and metallic black frames, the frames were flimsy plastic not metal. Also the numbers on the plates are slightly bigger than the letters so are not in line. Should have read the reviews on here before buying from these guys, no point sending them back as per other reviewers have stated on previous reviews...My loss..

I ordered plates for special occasion paidxextra for 2/3 day delivery. Did not arrive as advertised on website.Ask for refund of delivery told outside delivery company not there problem.Do not buy if they are not prepared to offer £12 back rather than get negative feedback which will cost them a lot more in lost trade, probably not even one sale they have no idea of how to grow a successful business I intend to promote this negative experience on all social media continually for next year hopefully they will learn

Avoid buying from here. I ordered a pair of number plates. Picked a size that I thought would fit the car. They came through and the text was tiny and no where near legal. I emailed them to find out why as I had ticked the UK legal font box so it should be UK legal? They emailed back suggesting it was the size I ordered. Not being funny but I want a UK legal number plate otherwise whats the point of ordering them. Just for fun!?
They never emailed back after that and I have requested a charge-back via my bank as surprise surprise they don't accept PayPal or they would have loads of claims to deal with and buyer protection.
Read this and steer well clear if you want functional & legal number plates.

Avoid this company at all cost as they are a face less lot who do not reply to emails when they know they are in the wrong !!!
I Purchased five registration plates from them and decided to personalise them all with a blue border around the outside edge which was all fine on the online order form, but when the plates turned up the border was purple on all of them so not looking how i wanted them, reported their mistake to them and they denied that the lines were purple, i even had three other people look at the pates and they all said the same that the border was purple so i was asked to return the plates to them for a full refund, which i did and also gave them the opportunity to either send new plates with correct blue border or refund my money of which i have not heard from them since and they refuse to answer my emails, there is no phone number to ring either, what a shower of S--T these people are.
i will now be perusing them through the small claims court as i am £80 + pounds out of pocket and another £15 pounds posting plates back to them, and all they had to do was speak to me, what is wrong with you people ??
Avoid this company at all costs as they are rouge traders !! at best who do not care a dam about their customers who have supported them with orders.

What's happened to this company used to be really good the reviews are shocking now I can see why go to order a set of metal number plates & they are wanting £49 for a set! You have to be joking!! £49!! No way am I paying that for some number plates

Ordering was straightforward and felt good but I made a simple mistake on the web address I wanted shown at the bottom of the plate. The moment I realized I had done this I corrected it but when I came to pay the website crashed. I went back a couple of pages and was then able to complete the task. Then the email confirmation came and I saw it had not corrected my mistake (no doubt because I had gone back) and so within seconds I tried to ring them BUT of course there is no phone number anywhere.

I went to FAQ's and it tells you if you spot a mistake use their onboard form with the heading AMEND ORDER which I did all of this within 5 mins of Paying. Just to be sure I also responded to their email saying the same thing. I only received an auto acknowledgment saying they had received my email and so next day I repeated both actions, still no response (apart from the auto one). 2 days later the plates arrived and of course were wrong. I emailed them one last time and again got no response.

Truly annoyed by now I noticed they have a high review level with 'Trusted Shops' and so I thought good I will review them, but of course I could find no way to enter a review on their website, a great way to control what people say about them.

Having been disappointed with plates for cars before, it was with trepidation that I placed my most recent order. Yet again, they’ve let us down with appalling delivery delays.

Excellent service. Ordered 10pm 27th December (Sunday night and Monday 28th was a bank holiday) and arrived on 31st December using 2-3 day service. Great plates exactly as described and ordered. Sorry others have had issues, but my experience was superb. Be careful with what you order, ensuring you add appropriate spacing for British standard. Many thanks P4Cs!

Good quality materials, fast delivery and reasonable value for money.

Only criticism is the 'design online' page, which I think should be designed to remove certain options if you tick a requirement for a UK legal plate. Some of the 'badges' are obviously not legal, but I used the 'footer text' (slogan) option thinking it was legal to have anything there, but after several Google searches I find that it can only legally be used for car dealership name and trademark. Only a real problem is if its going to be an MOT failure... For more information just Google for "number plate slogan legal"

Decent pre-delivery communication, prompt dispatch, easy to use and informative website. Well packaged, and arrived a day earlier than expected. Overall looked ok, until I started measuring for the holes and I noticed the border was wonky and the letters are not central. Emailed support 4 times and no joy over a couple of weeks. I had assigned the new number to my car and had no option but to use them. Notwithstanding the defects the quality seems spot on and they do look the part, but for £60, I’d expect perfection. The website reviews were really good, but it seems that you can’t leave reviews without an link sent to you by them, so maybe they wait to see any comeback before sending out the link, hence the good ratings, which was why i decided to pay that little more. I would not recommend this company.

For years i wanted a private plate and now managed to purchase one when on to plates for cars typed in my chosen reg plate and got a st George flag anyway i had the go ahead from dvla to put my reg plate on now paid 9.99 for next working day delivery ordered them on 04/12/2020 but Saturday day came nothing same with Sunday / monday i mean i never pay nearley a tenner forpost costbut i wanted my private plate on ive called emailed them nothing from them so from a nother very un happy customer i said to for them to refund me the shipping cost even if it does arrive (one day) so please near in mind if you want a set of plates go to your local car parts shop or ebay were ypu can dispute your purchase so im afraid this isnt happy days for me😩

I had a great experience. Plates ordered Monday, turned up Thursday. Look good quality. Thanks a lot. Make sure you put the space in the reg section, as they will only print what you have told them too.....

Really impressed with the quality of the plates and customer service.

This is my third set of plates from PFC and the quality has always been great. There was a small piece of damage on one of the four plates I had ordered recently, I contacted customer services and have received the replacement in a couple of days

Despite the plate being on a classic car and hardly moving from the garage one plate delaminated. Water ingress Platesforcars said. Too bad you've had them a year. No further dialogue as they just do not respond to emails. They just ignore them. The other plate lasted a bit longer before the laminate lifted giving the appearance of bubbling. The reviews on their own website must be fixed as Surprise! they are with the odd exception all positive. Glossy website. Abysmal customer service.

Avoid. I had my MOT failed because they print my plate with no legal space.

Plates for cars is a great company to purchase number plates very good quality and very fast delivery i would definitely recommend this company.

Ordered a set of plates - turned up, good quality but no space between first and second part of Reg. When I tried it again - a warning came up but did not when I first had plates made. Should be an automatic default on their system I think. Biggest problem - YOU CANNOT GET HOLD OF THEM - two emails, no response and no phone number !!! Left with unusable number plates ! Not happy.
