Easy and straight forward to renew. Didn't have experience claiming anything just yet so don't know they will handling the claim but the customer services was helpful when I rang asking some further questions.

Really poor experience with Pikl. Rude staff seemly taking glee out of my personal situation (Leaving the UK for 18 months) and declining insurance with no further help provided. The agent had absolutely no tact what's so ever! Very disappointed.

I helped my 77-year old father obtain an insurance quote for our family holiday cottage via Pikl's website (confused.com). The quote looked good on the surface, but I became suspicious when Pikl's quote email lacked all the expected documents. I wanted to be sure the quote was based on the correct answers to the insurer's questions, but Pikl refused to provide the missing documents until my father had paid. Before paying, my father reiterated over the phone to Pikl that our holiday cottage is "detached" not "mid-terraced". However, after paying, we found that the insurance policy was for a "mid-terraced house". Pikl then told my father over the phone that - surprise, surprise - changing the insurance from "mid-terraced" to "detached" would significantly increase the premium, making it more expensive than other insurers. Therefore we decided to cancel immediately, and expect to receive a full refund. Why had Pikl not corrected the quote as my father had specifically requested before Pikl took his money? I can only assume Pikl's sales team receive a sales commission when a client pays money for insurance, regardless of whether or not the client then cancels within the 14-day statutory period.
