Do not be misled by the .co.za web address, local pricing, or "50% off" seasonal promotions. Photo Jewellery is not a local South African jewellery maker or artisan studio.
They operate a classic overseas dropshipping model. Once you place an order, it is fulfilled directly by a third-party manufacturer in China and shipped via YunExpress. The items are identical to the cheap R30–R50 custom projection jewellery found on mass-market discount sites like Temu or AliExpress, but sold here at an extreme markup.
Support genuine local artisans and businesses instead—don't pay premium boutique prices for cheap overseas dropshipped goods.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience.

I placed an order on 8 July for two personalised photo jewellery gifts—one for my mother and one for my mother-in-law—for my wedding on 25 July. Before ordering, I was assured that the turnaround time would be 5–8 working days, which was also confirmed in their email response.

Today is 27 July, and I still have not received my order. The gifts were meant to be presented on my wedding day, and because of the delay, they completely missed the occasion they were purchased for.

If the company was unable to meet the promised timeframe, this should have been communicated upfront. Making promises that aren’t kept and leaving customers without their orders for such an important event is unacceptable.

Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this company based on my experience. If you’re ordering for a special occasion or need your items within the timeframe they advertise, be aware that they may not arrive when promised.
