serious safety concerns not acknowledged
I have raised serious safety concerns with both Peugeot Australia and the dealership we purchased the car off and the service team and have got absolutely nothing. Disappointed and disgusted with this as it is a genuine safety concern on what was my new car. This dates back to February and nothing.
Hi
I have written three time to Peugeot and not heard anything back which is really disappointing. The email is below. Hope you can help.
Dear Peugeot Australia Customer Care Team,
I am writing to formally raise an urgent safety concern regarding our recently purchased Peugeot GT Premium 3008. Both the main dashboard touchscreen and the smaller secondary display are becomingextremely hot to the touch during normal operation. The temperature is high enough that it is uncomfortable—and almost unsafe—to touch, which is clearly not normal for any vehicle system.
We recently had the vehicle serviced at Barry Bourke Peugeot Berwick, where we reported this issue. The service advisor acknowledged that they were aware of similar complaints from other owners but stated they did not know how to resolve it. This response is unacceptable given the severity of the issue and the significant financial investment we have made in this vehicle.
We are concerned that the overheating screens may pose a fire risk, electrical fault hazard, or could lead to total system failure while driving. We are requesting the following:
Immediate guidance on whether the vehicle is safe to continue driving.
A formal inspection and diagnostic procedure to identify the cause of the overheating.
A permanent repair or replacement solution under warranty.
Confirmation that Peugeot Australia recognises this as a known issue and clarification of any technical bulletins or recalls related to it.
We value the vehicle and expect a high standard of safety and support from Peugeot, this is the second 3008 purchased in 3 years, my wife and I both drive one. We ask that this issue be escalated and addressed promptly.
Please advise on the next steps as soon possible

Lane Keepng assist caused near fatal accident!!!
DO NOT BUY a Peugeot!!! I bought a brand new 2008 GT in November 2022. The car was three months old when the Lane Positioning Assist safety feature was randomly activated at 30km per hour which caused my daughter to crash into a parked car. NOTE, this safety feature is NOT SUPPOSED TO ACTIVATE at this speed. I have been hounding Peugeot via email and numerous distressed phone calls for the car computer / technical report which was extracted by the Peugeot Technician immediately post the incident. PEUGEOT have IGNORED all requests for last three months, making excuses, yet I was informed by their Customer Service Consultant that Peugeot management have been "having a lot of meetings about this case". Peugeot have refused to provide the data, that is rightfully mine. It is data that was extracted from MY car. I bought the car to ensure my daughter's safety on the roads, but this car ALMOST KILLED MY DAUGHTER!!!! FOR THE SAFETY OF YOUR LOVED ONES, DO NOT BUT ANYTHING FROM PEUGEOT. They do not care about your safety!!! They do not even care to respond to their customers correspondences, instead THEY WITHHOLD INFORMATION THAT COULD prevent further incidents and potentially SAVE YOUR AND YOUR LOVED ONES LIVEs. I will NOT have the car repaired until I have certainty that the car is not faulty and my daughter and the community will be safe. After three months, to this day I am yet to receive the technical data from my car. An absolute DISGRACE!!!

Thanks for the great customer service and the very quick response.
Andrew from Alexandria Service Center in Sydney really made his best to make sure that my automobile can be serviced.
I left it very last minute to book in for Service and Andrew managed after a long conversation to do his best to book my automobile next day. It was a miracle. Andrew is very friendly and he is definitely doing his best to make sure that the customer is happy with the service. I am grateful and thankful.
We had a great chat as Andrew is very open minded and critical thinker.
Again thank you so much for today!
Muchly appreciated and wish you all the best!
Keep up the great work Andrew!
And my automobile goes much better after service big thank you!
thanks Mona

Trouble free excellence.
We have leased Peugeot and Renault at least six times over the last 15 years and can highly recommend it. This year we have to cancel due to the "only essential international travel" rule now issued by the government in Australia. Parking damage caused by unknown people, being hit from behind by a not so Smart driver in Oslo and no other issues over the years. On return we just note any damage, that is all. Our only suggestion for improvement would be to supply the owner's handbook in English rather than French.
