The way these guys treat independent retailers is absolutely shocking. All they had to do was send me a new paypoint mini terminal so I can go live, instead they decided to "reset " the one that was already in this store when I took it over. Of course that did not go well, as they cocked the whole thing up. So I've been without a working terminal for 2 whole weeks, losing customers to the next store as everyone is going there to do their shop and pay their bills. It started working again this morning, for one whole hour before it just shat itself again. Contacting their technical support leads to nowhere as I hang on hold for over an hour and then get hung up on. No one replies to their "urgent help" email address either. I've now started helping people set up their direct debits to avoid these assholes.

Worst company to deal with.
Whenever you call them it doesn’t matter early morning or afternoon you evening we have to wait at least one hour to someone pickup but most cases the call will disconnect around 55 minutes wait this happened twice today . They asked you to send email more than two weeks still waiting for the reply

My recent experience with PayPoint has been extremely disappointing and deeply frustrating. I took over my store on 10/11/2025, and from the very first day, both the PayPoint and Collect+ systems have been completely non-operational. Despite raising this issue immediately, the problem remains unresolved to this day.
Over the past week, I have spent more than 10 hours on the phone with PayPoint’s customer support team. Every call ends the same way: I am told to “call back,” transferred between departments, or left on hold for long periods without any meaningful progress. At no point have I received a clear solution, proper escalation, or a confirmed timeline for fixing the issue.
The errors on the terminal — including the PayPoint EIA service not working and the Collect+ error “910046 – Invalid store network mapping” — clearly indicate that the terminal has not been correctly activated or mapped, yet support has been unable to address this.
This ongoing failure has caused major disruption to my business, including:
Daily loss of customers, as PayPoint services are essential for our community.
Financial loss, due to customers walking away and taking their business elsewhere.
Significant impact on our store reputation, as people expect us to provide PayPoint and Collect+.
Increased stress and wasted time due to repeated troubleshooting and long phone calls.
What makes the situation worse is that PayPoint continues to charge us monthly fees even though the system has never worked since the takeover date. Charging for a service that has been unavailable for over a week is unacceptable and unfair to any retailer.
I have also sent multiple emails requesting assistance, updates, or at least an acknowledgment, yet there has been no response at all. This lack of communication and accountability makes the experience even more disappointing.
Overall, PayPoint’s customer service, technical support, and responsiveness have fallen far below acceptable standards. I urgently expect PayPoint to take responsibility, activate and map my terminal properly, resolve the Collect+ error, reverse the monthly charges, and ensure no retailer has to go through this level of inconvenience and financial loss again.

Extremely unprofessional and bad customer and technical support with Paypoint for last 10 years and they don’t care about their retail customers.Reported faulty printer and the ppos freezing atleast 3 times, nobody got back of that so far.

Amazon hub not working on Paypoint
For weeks, PayPoint's complete failure to provide functional equipment has critically disrupted our business operations.
Initial Device Failure: After numerous emails, extended hold times on customer service lines, and finally flagging the issue here on Trustpilot, the original faulty PayPoint terminal was eventually replaced.
Defective Replacement: Shockingly, the replacement device was also defective, forcing us through the entire agonizing follow-up process again.
The Critical Issue Now: Amazon Hub Integration
Compounding this hardware crisis is the unresolved Amazon Hub integration. Despite raising this issue before the hardware failures, our shop is now live for Amazon Hub collections and drop-offs, but we are unable to log in or process any parcels.
This is a major liability, attempting to resolve this with zero support.
Your response has been a deliberate roadblock: Customer service automated messaged simply tell us to "send an email to brokendevice", which only yields generic, automated troubleshooting replies that are completely useless.
This cycle of faulty equipment, non-existent support, and an unresolved revenue-generating service (Amazon Hub) is unacceptable, since I am paying a monthly charge for the machine and services, which is a substantial amount. We demand immediate, hands-on intervention from a senior representative to resolve the Amazon Hub login crisis ASAP.

IDP service advertised but not offered
I spent the last hour travelling to 3 different shops affiliated to Paypoint. I needed an IDP (international driving permit). When asked, the cashiers had no idea what I was talking about and they were unable to help ("We do paypoint but we don't do the international driving permit here"). One cashier even pointed me to the post office. All shops are located in SE16.

Not fit for purpose...
There isn’t a single PayPoint in my hometown of over 30,000 people, so I drove more than an hour (there and back) to get an international driving permit. When I arrived, they told me no one on shift was trained to issue them — and this was during daytime hours. A first the manager didn't know what it was but then told to “try again tomorrow” and hopefully someone trained would be there.
Issuing these permits isn’t exactly difficult: attach a passport photo, add an address, and sign it. This is now the third awful experience I’ve had with PayPoint, so it’s a well-earned 1-star review.
