I recently had a visit from a PayPoint Retail Relationship Manager
Mr. Annushan Kanapathipillai to help set up PayPoint services in my new shop, and the experience was excellent from start to finish.
He was professional, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful throughout the entire process. He took the time to clearly explain how everything works, and answered all of my questions with patience and clarity. What stood out most was his friendly and approachable manner, which made the whole experience smooth and stress-free.
He also provided useful tips on how to make the most of the PayPoint system for my business, which I really appreciated as a new shop owner. It’s clear he genuinely cares about supporting retailers and ensuring everything runs efficiently.
Overall, I’m very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend PayPoint’s support team to any retailer looking to get set up. A great experience and a fantastic representative of the company.
5 PayPoint retailers refused to cash their vouchers today
I got a PayPoint voucher from OVO Energy against my final bill. Today, I visited 5 retailers in my area in London. All were listed on the PayPoint website as places that can cash my voucher. All declined coming up with different kinds of excuses: don't have cash, terminal not working (but refusing to try scanning the QR code) and QR code not working.
There is no person at PayPoint to take calls to discuss the situation. They failed to provide the basic service that they promised. I guess they keep my money then. But I am raising this with OVO Energy.

Bad customer service
I am a retailer and have a PayPoint service. Contacting PayPoint customer service is terrible; it will take nearly an hour to speak to a member of staff. I do not have these issues with any other companies in my business. Someone asked me to contact them, but I won’t be doing that. I don’t want to waste my time dealing with PayPoint, as they clearly spend no time supporting their customers—it's part of their cost-cutting policy. Neither I nor my staff ever call them because we can never get through. Despite this, they consistently take the money on time via direct debit. Unfortunately, we have no choice but to stick with them since PayPoint has a monopoly with no competitors.

I am very unhappy with PayPoint customer service. The call centre waiting time is extremely long and it is difficult to get through to an agent. When there is a problem with the terminal, it should be resolved quickly, but the response is very slow. For businesses that depend on PayPoint services, this level of support is not acceptable.
