Pre-booked hire car from UK prior to holiday in Costa Teguise Lanzarote. No deposit required, vehicle available at arranged time in very good condition with 3/4 tank of fuel. Handover very efficient with all necessary insurances already included in the very competitive rental charge.

I used this company previously, and will continue to do so when visiting Fuerteventura, no frills but good honest service, everything is clear to understand.
I have just had to rent a car for Australia through Discover Cars and been ripped off with insurance.
It made me realise how good and straight forward these people are.

I rented a car at Lanzarote airport and returned it to Costa Teguise. Everything was very simple and smooth.

Decided at the last minute to hire a car for a few days at Playa Blanca, Lanzarote and saw Payle$$ so gave it a go. Absolutely superb! Straightforward, no messing about when we picked up and dropped off and it was great value. Really nice staff and no messing about with up-selling, just book, collect and return - the way it should be!

Payless in the canaries are the budget arm of Cicar. The cars are a bit older with a few miles on the clock but still in great condition. This time I rented in Tenerife. They are a genuine great value business. There are no hidden extras and nothing else to pay on top of your agreed online hire fee although they do ask for a 36 euro refundable fuel deposit but take it back full as agreed and there will not be a problem.
The only negative was the huge queue at the hire desk. I don't know if that is a regular occurrence or several planes landed at once. A real bargain.

I'd booked a rental with Goldcar at Fuerteventura airport only to find on arrival they didn't take my Amex and wouldn't let me pay on my wife's credit card without upgrading to the expensive full cover option. I felt I was being scammed so walked down the line at the airport and the guy in Payless, despite having little available, found me a brilliant little Panda with full insurance for less than the cost of my original Goldcar booking.

Hired a little fiat panda on the island of lanzarote for less than €20 euros per day- turned up at exactly the time and date stated, and collected at exactly the time and date stated. Was a bit apprehensive about booking and paying from the UK, but a faultless experience from start to finish. Thank you Clio, a really nice guy.
