Hi Karen, sorry to hear about this.
Can I just check, the lead has two mechanisms. One is metal which is designed to stop your dog from choking. The other is like a tab which you push toward the end of the lead to tighten to the desired position to stop your dog slipping out.
I hope this will resolve your issue but if you need further help, please let us know.

Lovely toy box
Lovely toy box which was dispatched super quickly - same day as the order… AND there was a cute pooh bag dispenser included in the delivery, filled with bags in readiness for our ball of fluff to arrive.
