I simply cannot thank Pattinson Brewer…thank you.

I simply cannot thank Pattinson Brewer enough for what they did for me. Caroline, Amy and Morgan were fantastic throughout and instrumental in helping me recently to a successful outcome.
Your efforts in a protracted case were and remain, very much appreciated!
Thank you!!

Excellent solicitors

I made a claim for an injury at work and, from start to finish, my appointed solicitor, Daniel Whipp, was excellent.
Great communication, answered all my questions quickly and was pleasant to deal with.
I would highly recommend Pattinson Brewer!

100% would recommend Pattinson & Brewer. I recently had an unfortunate workplace injury at work and was recommended to make a claim through my union who then put me in contact with Pattinson & Brewer. After sending all the details Daniel kickstarted my claim into action and I couldn’t recommend enough! He informed we with every update and even called me occasionally to discuss in detail what was needed, what was happening and what the plan was all in simple terms instead of trying to understand the dreaded legal terminology. The claim was a success and I couldn’t recommend enough! Thank you so much Daniel for all your hard work! I really appreciate it! Thank you Pattinson & Brewer!

Exceeded expectations

Daniel dealt with my case via the Union. His integrity, patience, professionalism and attention to detail is admirable. He crossed the t’s and dotted the i’s and worked at a very fast pace. Nothing was too much trouble and he was easily contactable. Everything was properly logged, emailed or posted. He would return calls or emails almost immediately and was very reassuring.

I was extremely impressed with the timeline from start to finish. My claim was nearing the 3 year deadline for submission. My initial claim was submitted in May when Daniel was allocated my case around five months ago. He simply got on with it, resulting in a positive outcome.

I would highly recommend Pattinsonbrewer and would like to take this opportunity to thank Daniel for all his hard work.

Better off elsewhere…

Where do I start… my union passed over an employment case to Pattinson & Brewer however the person dealing with my case Abdul Basith was totally in my opinion unprofessional.
Multiple times he got information incorrect despite me trying to rectify him, he was dismissive and patronising.
I don’t know how they can give proper and correct “legal advice” if they read and get information wrong.
While trying to converse over the phone and bring to his attention his in-corrections, again he was dismissive and didn’t want to hear it as he “ knows the law” however he certainly didn’t know my case…

I am writing this so that others don’t waste their time and energy.

I have no words to describe the lack of communication and poor service I've been offered on the past 7 monts.
I understand some people are working part time but what I don't understand is the fact that absolutely no-one is taking any action even after I have complained over 4 times about this matter.
Please don't use this law firm because it will waste your time and money

Recently used Pattinson Brewer for a work place dispute, James Cooper was the solicitor assigned to me, he was absolutely brilliant from the get go. Very patient and always made time to keep me updated.
I can’t speak highly enough of James and would highly recommend him and Pattinson Brewer.
Thanks Michael Bunney.

HONESTLY I WOULD NOT EVEN RECOMMEND THIS COMPANY TO MY WORST ENEMY!!

I can honestly say this is the WORST firm of solicitors I have EVER dealt with in my life. I dealt with a partner at the London office and a legal executive at the Bristol Office, to be honest there wasn't an awful lot to choose between them, although I firmly believe the actions (or lack of) of the second one resulted in my case being closed and me being forced to accept settlement significantly lower than it should have been, which did not even cover my ongoing medical costs .
Liability was admitted early on by the other side but vital records were missed from the start by this firm, errors made throughout the case (several complaints were raised concerning the handling of the case resulting in them offering us £500 as acknowledgement of the errors, which we refused and the attitude of the LE changing markedly towards me).
When they did finally bother to get the records, they held on to them several more months before finally sending them to the consultant to review. The sheer incompetence shown throughout the case is absolutely unbelievable.
I was then offered £28k by the other side (significantly lower than I was advised it was worth but nonetheless a lot more than I was forced to settle at), but was advised by the LE to turn this down based on the advice of the Barrister, advice which in fact turned out to be from over a year previously and not up to date advice as we were led to believe. We later discovered he had no knowledge of the offer or the records in question and when he was finally told the £28k had been revoked and I was forced to settle at 18K. Therefore the absolute minimum they lost me is 10K, or in my view many many thousands more.
I was not given the opportunity to negate the concerns about any previous (unrelated) pain raised at a conference as it was too late in the day to do so (apparently) but which I have since done with the relevant consultants/osteo, albeit that does not help me now.
The last conversation I had with this LE was utterly disgusting, amongst other things she accused me of saying I had never had a back pain in my life (absolute lie and I have written proof of this, I also gave both sides my osteo's details at the start of the case and told them I was very happy for them to discuss my back with him) she was totally unprofessional and rude (no doubt to cover up their absolute failings of this case).
There are many many more mistakes that were made but unfortunately this review does not afford me enough words to list them all. I wish it did as I do feel people should be fully aware of the actions/mistakes of companies such as these and the consequence of these actions/mistakes to individuals seeking their help.
I would urge anyone who considers using them to go elsewhere. My experience with them was so horrendous, I cannot believe firms like this are even still allowed to practise.

Poor Service

Poor.

I would not recommend to others.

Missed a crucial factor of my case in their advice. Namely the fact that the case was undefended and the Respondent had missed their deadline to submit their ET3 by two months.

Their advice showed a misunderstanding of Equality law The advice was contradictory. I was given three different assessments of the merits of my case in the same advice email.

I obtained advice from a barrister of almost 40 years call via direct access which differed somewhat from the bad advice provided by the solicitor at this firm.

The solicitor failed to provide timely advice and the advice was provided on the afternoon before the preliminary hearing despite being requested 25 days previously.

The solicitor failed to deal with a disabled person in a sensitive way. Her attitude and conduct was insulting towards disabled people.

I believe, but as yet cannot prove, that the solicitor breached client confidentiality by talking about the matter with a member of staff of my current employer. There was no reason for her to do this.

Really can't recommend this firm

After being directed to this firm but the police federation due to a personal injury from a road traffic collision. I was initially impressed and understood that these sort of care can take time to resolve. Unfortunately in November was advised that the other party's insurer was disputing liability and to make a CICA claim. This is the point at which the service has gone downhill, wishing to seek an alternative legal
opinion I emailed a month ago regarding a subject access request, there has been no reply to date and even though I have chased this up I have heard nothing. Not replying to an email after a month is at best an oversight and at worst darnright rude. In light of this I really couldn't recommend this firm at all.

Make Contact ; Don't Expect a Response

My new business enquiry was ignored for a week by the firms' Freephone telephone process. So, I emailed the Partner Jamie, who is in charge of clients, to advise him of these problems and I invited him to discuss my enquiry. I provided sufficient information to indicate that it was worth his time. Two working days later, Jamie hasn't sent me an apology nor a reply .Quite unbelievablely poor new business experience. I will be taking my business elsewhere.
