The Ridgeworks low exceeded my expectations. The leather is buttery soft, the materials used are great quality, and the fit is perfect. Been wanting a shoe in between loafers and sneakers and found one.

Ordered 2 pairs of shoes 2 weeks ago. Still haven’t arrived. Customer service is slow and useless. Just keep saying the shoes are with Evri so it’s out of their hands. From me placing the order to Evri even getting the delivery took 10 days. Even more concerned now I’ve seen other people giving such poor review. Will probably do a charge back. Ignoring my emails, insta messages and deleting Instagram comments. Scam
Edit - they’ve reached out, over 2 weeks ago to offer a partial refund, still waiting on that. Despite me sending multiple replies.

You can tell these were designed with care. Stitching is clean, leather feels premium, and they don’t lose structure after a few wears. Shipping took a bit, but communication was clear.

Oh boy, if I'd known I'd have to pay postage to China to return these shoes, I would not have taken the chance on them.
As far as the product goes:
They fit comfortably. The soles feel unsubstantial though. Time will tell but I'm worried they're going to fall apart in a month or so. Don't love them, don't hate them.
It's not a good look - the Amsterdam/China thing needs addressing, everyones call it out here and the 1-2 star reviews will keep rolling in until it's dealt with. Can't expect new customers to pick up the bill for your sleight of hand.
Man I really miss that £100.

Terrible service, terrible quality. The company says it’s based in the NL but everything is drop shipped from China. Returns are practically impossible and they make you pay an outrageous amount to send them back TO CHINA. Insane. They will be getting some legal involvement soon.

THIS COMPANY IS A SCAM - Do not buy anything from them. They pretend to be from the Netherlands but are really shipping garbage from China. I bought some shoes from the them and the vegan leather smelled so toxic it filled the room. This footwear clearly does not pass any test standard and is mostly likely very damaging.
When I attempted to return them, they asked me to pay for shipping to a warehouse in China costing about £30!! On top of that they kept offering a 10% / 20% / 30% discount to keep the faulty product. It’s been shocking customer service and I doubt very much that this company will be round for very long based on my experience and a lot of reviews here on trust pilot. AVOID AT ALL COSTS

My son loves the shoe, the fit, and the style of the shoe. The issue was the length of time it took to arrive. I am currently ordering another pair of paper straight shoes for his birthday and just hope they arrive in time for his birthday.

Absolutely terrible experience. This company feels like a complete scam. They sent me an incomplete order, and when I tried to resolve the issue, all I received were automated email replies — even after providing clear evidence.
The items themselves were extremely poor quality, the kind of things you could easily find on TEMU or SHEIN for a fraction of the price. All I wanted was to return the items and get a refund, but instead I got yet another automated message from “Lisa” claiming the case had been reviewed and couldn’t be resolved — with zero explanation or proof.
No real customer service, no accountability, and no intention of helping customers. Avoid this company at all costs.

I had a very disappointing experience with Paper Straight.
After placing my order, I discovered what appear to be identical shoes available online for a fraction of the price. When I immediately contacted customer service to cancel before delivery, I was told cancellation was “not possible” due to their “automated system”.
Once the item was delivered, I was informed that returns must be sent back to China at the customer’s expense, which can be extremely costly. Instead of a straightforward refund, I was repeatedly pushed to accept partial refunds (10%, then 20%, then 30%) to keep the item — which felt like pressure rather than customer care.
This information was not made clear at checkout, and had I known the true return process and costs, I would never have ordered. Communication was slow, repetitive, and focused on deflecting responsibility rather than resolving the issue fairly.
I strongly recommend doing thorough research before buying. This was one of the most frustrating online shopping experiences I’ve had.
It took a bit to arrive but it was in the midst of christmas. the product is super good and comfortable and the prize amazing.

If I would give less than one star, I would give a minus!!! This company is shockingly unprofessional. The shoes do not fit, there is no size indicated on the product, and the so called customer service is practically nonexistent. Getting a refund is deliberately made difficult, with no free returns and an outrageous demand to pay excessive shipping costs to send the item back to China after misleading customers into believing the product ships from Amsterdam.
This experience has been infuriating from start to finish. I would strongly warn anyone against shopping with this company. There are far better and more honest alternatives available. Avoid at all costs.
