Pair eyewear fraud …

Pair eyewear masks you check the box for free membership, then without notice they will change $30 every month for membership, hard to contact them, hours of waiting then they disconnect, and when able to talk to representatives, they refuse to refund. I paid $90 for a frame and I was charged $123.50 for membership. They are fraud.

Don’t fall for Pair Eyewear.

Do not buy! I tried two different base frames, and about 10 toppers from their website (as well as a few from other creators off etsy). The toppers fall off constantly. When the wind blows, if anyone hugs you, dog licks your face, etc. There is ZERO customer service. Two of my three orders came incorrect and both times took about two weeks to fix with their “chat bot” since the phone puts you on hold and hangs up. Even then, the only “fix” they allow is trying to send it again. The only way to leave them a review is through their Facebook page, and they only allow the good reviews to post and deny anything bad.

I keep having people say “oh just add glue dots” or “just add your own magnets”…. Shouldn’t it come working the way it claims in the first place?? My magnetic sunglasses from Zenni and Firmoo both work totally perfectly. So obviously it’s possible, just not by Pair.

Very bad company through and through.

Wrong PD Automatically Taken and Used In Order

Their automated PD measurement system forced the PD measurement through their digital tool only, and there was no manual option to correct.

They said for any PD updates to email their staff separately for PD updates. I emailed them regarding the correct PD measurement.

They sent the order to the lab, before the PD email measurement was updated by customer service.

Now, I have a pair of eyeglasses, under construction, in the lab, with the wrong PD measurement. And I have to wait and see if this PD difference in tolerable or not.

Their systems should allow for manual entry of PD and not be forced into digital measurement and to email staff after placing the order to correct PD measurements their system automatically imported into the order.

Customer Service sucks

I bought new clear frames and brought them to my eye doctor to but prescription lenses in. I got them back and the toppers don't fit. It had nothing to do with the lenses because for the frames to be bent that much they would have broken. They aren't giving me a new pair of flat fronted frames and I'm out the hundreds of dollars for the lenses. I've spent so much money with them you think they want to keep my business.

Their customer service is very poor

Their customer service is very poor. It takes weeks to get toppers. They always have some sorry excuse as to why your order is late. They need to go belly up!

Buyer Beware......I would give this company a 0 star review if I could. They sent me the wrong prescription in my glasses I had to schedule an eye doctor to verify this over the holidays .... once I confirmed the prescription was not correct I asked for a refund, they denied my request for a refund of the wrong prescription stating I was over the 30 window by 2 days.... then charged me a membership fee on top of that ..... I didn't sign up for a membership!!!!!! The toppers are crap...almost 3D printed and peel off .
Customer service is non existent . Terrible Company

Great customer service, unless something goes wrong

I ordered glasses and about 4 toppers from pair on the 20th October. Overall communication with the company started off as great, I had a few questions before and after becoming a customer and they always answered quickly. When I made my order they split the topper so one came separately. It took just under a month to get the majority of the order, then one final topper was due. Due to poor delivery the package was left hanging out of my letterbox and it was stolen. I escalated accordingly, and assume that pair could claim any loss to them back from the courier, but since escalating my lost parcel they have ghosted me. I even paid for the shipping protection which I would have thought would cover things like this. I'm really disappointed, and just know it would hardly cost them a thing to resend one topper. So through no fault of my own I am out at a financial loss and have no product. EDIT - since escalating this slighter higher I have had them place a replacement order. I looked to try and contest the payment with my merchant which listed a different e-mail to contact first. And once again, that instant of customer service was really good.

Slow, do not communicate

I ordered a pair last year and they were great. However I ordered another pair this year and I had to email to ask where they were to be told that they couldn’t read part of my prescription. Why hang anyone emailed me in those 2 weeks to say that?!
Lack of customer service and communication.
Guessing my order won’t be here for yet another 2 weeks.
Won’t order again.

thieves

order glasses. they were great. order toppers for a musical to change toppers as part of the costume, effortless however they want you to sign up for their membership and get monthly discounts. I DID NOT sign up for it during my last order however they tacked it on to my order and charges me 32.00 for 2 months before I caught on. They ripped me off 64.00 from my bank account then refused to give it back to me. back and forth in email several times. They are thieves and cannot be trusted with your information..

I love the versatility of these glasses…

I love the versatility of these glasses and that’s why I gave 2 stars. I like changing the top frame to match my outfits and when I first purchased these glasses they were great. I ordered a second pair of glasses and top frames about 8 months ago and they were fine. About 2 months ago I decided to order 6 top frames and even joined their membership program. When the order came in 1 of my top frames was missing. I emailed them about 6 times stating it was missing and they kept responding to check neighbors mail boxes because they said they shipped it. Even though they ship them all stuck together with their magnets. They even asked me to confirm my address and they will escalate my claim. I waited 10 days and no one responded. So I looked for a number to call and since I joined their membership I had a “VIP” phone number to call. When I finally spoke to someone it was a guy from the Philippines who asked “did you check to make sure they were stuck together because of the magnets?” I asked for a replacement and he put the order in. Now yesterday I finally received the “replacement” and it wasn’t the design I order nor was it the shape of my glasses. Today I cancelled my membership and I asked for a refund which is processing. Like I said I love the product but if I don’t get what I paid for it’s not worth it. I will now be having a friend 3D print the top frames for me and I will decorate them myself.

Don't waste your time and money! I have had 2 pairs of frames and nearly 100 toppers, the company use to be very efficient, but a number of issues over the last few months, some flimsy and bent toppers, parcels going missing, toppers missing, wrong item sent, waiting months, customer service and chat bot are an absolute joke, still trying to rectify an order I made in August, you couldnt make it up! Given up on this company now, Sadly! Not sure why such a decline.. but something has sadly gone very wrong!

Snazzy glasses if they can get the order right but horrific Customer Service

I had purchased glasses through pair eyewear a few years ago and had very good luck ordering frames and over 20 toppers. My RX changed so I uploaded my RX to purchase a new pair. I received my glasses but they were not to the RX lenses specifications, do I shipped them back. I order pair #2 in hopes they would get it correct, AGAIN the reading glass rx was incorrect (keep in mind I uploaded the exact rx from my eye dr, it is not a complex RX, single vision reading glasses). I shipped them back but decided to let customer service know how extremely disappointed I was with their inability to read a RX and fill it. Now I am stuck with 24 top frames that I will never be able to use. To my surprise, I received an email back from customer service, with apologies for the incorrect rx and they offered to shipped me the correct pair of glasses at no charge for all of the frustration I had been through. I was delighted that FINALLY someone wants to fix this. I did let them know my previous order was shipped back but please call my Eye Dr if there are concerns about how to fill the RX. She indicated they would be following up with my Eye Dr and my glasses would ship soon. A week goes by, I decided to check in..... And of course, HERE WE GO AGAIN. This associate tells me that they do not have an order and will not honor the previous communication but are sorry for the mishap. Needless to say, this did not settle well with me. After 5 emails back and forth about the miscommunication and lack of customer service, they finally agreed to HONOR what they originally offered. My advice, BUY FROM OTHER EYE GLASS COMPANIES NOT PAIR EYE WEAR. While there glasses are ok and the top frames are fun the headaches from bad service is not worth it.

Save your money.

The idea is great. In practice, not so much. The toppers are flimsy and the magnets are not strong enough. I lost a topper because it fell off when I was out shopping. Initially when I reached out they asked for a picture of my glasses with a topper attached, which I sent promptly. The response was that it was past 30 days, so they could not exchange --not that there was anything TO exhcange as the topper is gone. So why ask for a photo? Just tell me to kick rocks. The toppers are cheaply made, and there need to be more magnets. The fact that the company does nothing to address this tells you that they don't value their consumers I am so disappointed, and will not shop with them again.

Can't do high prescriptions, will tell you after you order

I ordered and then got an email saying they couldn't make them due to my high prescription. Of course they offered to make me a non prescription pair, which entirely defeats the purpose but anything to keep my money I guess. Now I'm working on trying to get my HSA funds returned.

Best part of the experience was the return process

Got the prescription frames quickly. I ordered clear frames expecting to always wear with a colored top. It took the tops another month to arrive, and then 1 of the 3 was missing. By that time, I was having eye strain headaches from the lenses and couldn't talk myself out of feeling my far vision was blurry. Very doubtful the prescription was accurate. Customer service is only by AI chat, or emailing a service rep in the Philippines. The tops are very flimsy, cheap-looking plastic, and the magnet isn't very strong. They can be knocked off with just a casual brush. The sunglasses top created a strong glare that was hard to see through. The two stars I'm giving is only because returns were very easy and a full refund was given.

The web site returns submit button is not active

The web site return function does not allow the submit button to be selected no matter which type of return method (box or no box) is chosen. If you do select one of the methods you cannot select a specific location (it just opens a map window for directions)

When I emailed them about this they asked me to trouble shoot more... I replied with specifics because I spent more than 2 hours trying first on my phone then on my computer, results were the same. I was not able to click the submit button and therefore not able to get a return QR code. Very disappointing. I will not order again.

Thieves and liars. AVOID!!!

Do not purchase from Pair Eyewear, I spent nearly £200 on their products and never received them, I was in contact with Pair for almost 2 months chasing my refund, Pair were claiming they had refunded me already when they definitely had not, I sent them my bank statements time and time again along with additional proof, luckily I made this purchase on a credit card so I raised a claim against Pair and my credit card company got me my full refund back in under 1 week, but if I had not used a credit card, I would never have got that money back. Pair are dishonest and their customer service is shockingly poor. Please avoid this company at all costs, but if you do decide to purchase from them, please at least use a credit card in order to give yourself some form of protection just in case. Awful company!
