Timely arrival, no complaints at all, great service

They make absolutely fantastic guitars. For the price, their offerings cannot be beat. IMHO, if they can figure out how to scale their production without compromising quality or price, they will rule the metal world.

Great communication and fast shipping for coming from the opposite side of the world

Ormsby's guitars are some of the best instruments available, and they're very affordable. Their hand-wound pickups are also not to be ignored! Shipping time was really fast, especially considering they're on the other side of the world.

The quality of the guitar is amazing. Fret work is .... incredible. The guitar plays itself. The blizzard pickup is money - it sounds so clear.

The first Ormsby I bought was from Dan (sadly passed) of Live Louder guitars (permanently closed now sadly). It was a run 16B Ando San signature Hype GTR. There is not a specification missing for a modern guitarist and its one of the most inspiring instruments I own for writing alternative tuning progressive music with the same set of strings can do drop F# B standard to Drop C comfortably where no other can without the tension feeling off.

I also got to try two other models whilst in the store a Run 18 Floyd standard scale and a TX model. The consistency between the GTR line is outstanding each guitar's setup was immaculate and they all sounded great whilst looking the part too!

The second Ormsby I bought direct from Ormsby themselves is a lovely bright pink standard scale Hype GTR from run 18 I absolutely love this instrument and its all the millennial of "that shape" I could ever dream of owning.

Ormsby went above and beyond in their communication I was informed...

they were aware I had purchased the guitar
when the setup was starting
who by (thanks Jett) and when it was likely to be completed by
when the setup was completed and being shipped

I even had the option to ask for the guitar to be setup in a particular tuning and string gauge

The guitar delivery was a signed for DHL express and unfortunately I missed the knock and van even though I was on the look out. They decided to leave the guitar at a neighbours without informing me on the tracking, by text or otherwise where and I had not requested this. They also didn't provide a notification as a guest but I believe this can be done with an account.

I did resolve this issue by phoning DHL and that was a smooth process with very good systems that let me locate the guitar via a description of where the pin they had was relative to me and the neighbour's name this took around 30 minutes of searching to find the neighbour in question.

None of this is a reflection on Ormsby and to DHL's credit they were very helpful in resolving the final step of the delivery to the almost my house otherwise the shipment was very smooth including the customs charge payment

The out of the box setup is amazing and if you haven't gathered by now these guitars punch well above their weight class in sound, looks, playability, ergonomics, fit and finish, the quality of hardware... basically everything that makes a guitar great, musical and something you want to frequently pick up and play.

The question isn't why with Ormsby its why haven't you yet?

and seriously if that is what the GTR line offers... I can only imagine what their high end stuff is like...

Despite the fact that at live on the other side of the world, i have received my order in an extremely short delay. Hurra!

Fast shipment, perfect condition of the guitar. Should be more clear in the buying process that shipment is from Australia, so there are additional taxes if you Import into your country. But other than this: perfect.

Ormsby was great to work with! I had question about custom pick ups and they were always quick to get back with me and answer the questions I had. The guitar showed up in perfect condition and shipping was incredibly quick coming from Australia to the States.

Flawless process for sending guitar from Australia. DHL is a superior carrier and they delivered it according to my exact instructions. The guitar itself (Kris Xen Signature) is perfect for me. Been wanting to find an 8 string guitar that just lets me play in any style. Appreciate the QC note in the bag with the string gauge listed. Will be shopping for more Ormsbys.

Very quick delivery, QC on the guitar is done well: just a quick tune up and ready to go, intonation is fantastic without any other setup.
