Purchased one of Orbitkeys' desk mats as they seemed to come highly recommended and I desperately needed a new one. I really like the features with the magnetic cable holder and the double layer so that you can keep documents or notes easily to hand. The delivery and service was great and packaging lovely, very much suggesting good quality, and on the face of it the mat looks great too. The two major issues and reason for my reference to really poor R&D is that even after 3 weeks I cannot get the mat to stop curling over in the direction it was rolled when packaged. I have followed the instructions and looked to was it in the opposite direction on multiple occasions, it just will not lay flat. The second and most annoying is that the bottom layer of felt holds zero resistance to slipping all over the desk so when typing or working you find yourself constantly moving it mack into place. It badly needs non-slip elements to the underside and also a solution to the seemingly permanent curling through how it is packaged and delivered. So whilst it looks good it does not function anywhere nearly as good as previous much cheaper and more basic desk mats........a real shame when a product that looks so good and wants to portray quality, just doesn't fulfil it's primary purpose.
Update 03Jan’24 - After getting in contact Orbitkey have sent through some pads for the underside of the mat which have fully resolved the slipping issue and have also helped considerably with the curling issue. Maybe a suggestion for Orbitkey would be to provide these with the mat in the first place considering the price point. Anyway, wanted to make sure I fairly updated this as they have been excellent in picking this up and resolving the issue so from a customer service perspective I can only report good things. They have turned this around for me 100% and I would have no second thought about purchasing other items from this knowing how good they are at resolving any issues that might be faced. Specific call out to Alexis for handling the issue and resolving it along with excellent communications and updates throughout.

I first came across OrbitKey while in search of a high-quality desk mat for my home office setup. After watching several YouTube videos, I set my sights on an OrbitKey desk mat and opted for the large size in the color stone. Though I was drawn to the color online, I remained uncertain about its appearance in person. Upon the eventual arrival of the desk mat, I eagerly unwrapped it and placed it on my desk, only to find that I wasn't pleased with the color; it just didn't look right.
Desiring the black desk mat instead, I reached out to request an exchange, only to be informed that it could only be processed if the product remained unopened . This policy struck me as peculiar—how can one determine their satisfaction with an online purchase without unwrapping it? While I acknowledge the inconvenience, I was happy to pay the return shipping costs and most online stores permit returns, as long as the product remains in a resellable condition. In my case, the mat was unused, yet the paper wrapping was torn (inevitable in opening it). The rewrapping cost would be minimal, making the restriction seem unnecessary.
More troubling, however, is the issue of the desk mat's slipperiness. It consistently slides around on my desk, rendering it practically unusable. This flaw in product design is not only inconvenient but also unexpected from a premium product. Upon further research, I discovered that this problem has been noted by others online as well.
The choice of such a restrictive returns policy is disappointing. Although I was initially interested in other OrbitKey products, such as their tech case and key rings, I am now reconsidering my options. I am leaning towards Bellroy, where both product quality and the returns policy appear to be more generous. Should OrbitKey change their mind with regards to returns policy, I would be willing to update this review.
Ordered an orbitkey but it couldn't hold my keys (the connecting clip is too thick for half of my key holes to fit) and the machined thread started to become problematic after one use, making it difficult to tighten. I foolishly binned the box, as a result I can't get a refund from the problematic customer service. Poor quality, just buy a standard key ring for 5% of the price.

Bought a v2 keyring that has a faulty mechanism so will not lock. I contacted customer service who asked me to use my phone to film myself trying to lock/unlock the key ring. When I explained that I would not be able to hold / lock the keyring and film myself, it was suggested I "use my phone stand". Apparently just sending it back for replacement is not an option .

I also received an order I did not order from Orbitkey for $109.90. I disputed the charge and cancelled my credit card to prevent a recurrence. I also had to take a picture of the un-opened delivery to get a return label. Two months later - I get another charge from Orbitkey. I again cancelled my card and reported the fraud to my credit card services and Norton Life-Lock Security. Something Phishy is going on with this company.

I placed an order on 25th May 2023 for three items; Orbitkey Ring, Orbit Ring, and a Nail File & Mirror.
The package arrived five days later; 30th May 2023, bearing in mind that Monday 29th was a bank holiday.
I have to say, the packaging was first class, all three products are excellent quality, if I have just one gripe it would be getting used to the release fob…I’ve tried undoing and redoing the fob, I must admit, it’s got easier each time you use it.
Some people have griped about this, but it will get easier the more you play around with it.
I really like all three items..my wife is quite impressed with the mirror/nail file.
I’d thoroughly recommend buying from Orbit.
I will buy more from them in the near future.
I truly don’t get all the negativity from other people on here.
This is my very first purchase from Orbit and am very, truly happy!

I returned 2 products which were not up to the standard I ordered (arrived marked and not good!) which I had to pay for the return of and then when I contacted customer service a month after I sent the products they ‘hadn’t arrived in the warehouse yet’ even though the tracking has clearly stated it had arrived. The customer service experience has been painful. Thankfully (still annoyingly!) I didn’t buy anything hugely expensive. I will never be buying from them again and advise you to stay clear of them. Shocking in this day and age.

I received £200 worth of goods, opened the outer and decided the products weren’t for me.
E-mailed customer services to be told please take pictures of each product removed from the packaging, the front, the back and with the packaging in the background. WHAT??
I declined and have emailed Ian back and said I’m not removing the desk mat for fear of damaging it.
What are you up to?
What a nightmare, if only I had come here first BEFOREHAND I would NOT have ordered.
I will update once I get my money back.
Feels like I’ll be speaking to my card issuer for help…
UPDATE 10/05
Returns process simplified for me so I didn’t have to take everything out and picture it!
Refund email confirmed too!

I received a used product from Orbitkey. Ordered a desk mat online which was sent to me in a box that had previously been opened. The desk mat itself contained signs of use and damage.

Awful customer service never responded to my complaint. Items took a very long time to be shipped. The key ring holder is not well designed - it’s designed to really only hold flat keys but most people will have a mix of keys.
Additional items like your supermarket loyalty card tags and trolley tags need to be added to a ring (not included) so that they can be added to the d ring on the item. What’s the point of that. Now will all items attached to the device the whole length of my keys is around twice what it was before - far from tidy compact nature as advertised. I would advise others to avoid this company and its products.

Pls respond back to my return in regards to my ticket number 76833
I have now sent you three emails within the space of a week. If you do not respond, I will have no choice but to report the transaction to my card issuer.
WARNING!!!!!
Don't buy anything from this company. Impossible to return anything. They are obstructive and don't publish return information clearly. Costs to return outweigh the cost of the product.
I bought the Orbitkey Nest from Europe and when it turned up, I was really disappointed. It was a Black Friday deal so slightly cheaper but still an expensive luxury item. The colour was Ash, the base was scuffed with black marks. The packaging was damaged, and the Nest looked like a returned item. I'm not sure how they can send this as brand new and expect customers to be happy. I have lodged a complaint so will wait to see how this is remedied.
After buying a Strap and a ring and an AirTag case, the ring failed whilst bike riding leading to all three and the airtag being smashed beyond repair in the street, leading to a locksmith visit costing over $800 AUD. Orbitkey refunded me for the Strap and Ring. That’s all. No replacements. No AirTag costs. No phone call. Honestly this business has been utterly deplorable to deal with.
If I were you I’d stay away.
No issues with shipping as previous reviews mention and really love the key organiser. Knocked off a star because the washer was bent when I opened the package. It still works thankfully, but was expecting better considering the price and when I wrote to them about it and they never responded.
Ordered an Orbitkey "key organizer" online. Somehow the unit number for my apartment was not on the address line and the package. It was sent to a random pick-up location that didn't notify me that it was delivered and was subsequently sent back. Orbitkey customer service (Dea) was excellent in getting a new key organizer sent to me immediately with no hassle. They were prompt and actioned my concerns quickly. Excellent service and excellent product. Very happy.
More awkward than a normal keyring. Absolutely overpriced, quality is good but form is way over function. Reverted to normal keyring after a couple of weeks, as did my partner and Mum (bought presents) big waste of almost $200. Don’t re-invent the wheel. Shipping takes ages too. Be glad you checked the reviews, and learn from my expensive mistake! Cheers
2 months for shipping , I had to contact the client service 24 times , they responded after 2 days and not always . Once I received the article that I order ( 2 months after ) they sent another one which I didn’t buy . As i want to be honest , I contacted the company again because i wanted them to know that they made a mistake they said that they will contact me with a return label . After 3 months for that email I haven’t got any label neither a mail . They’ve shown to me that they do not care about customers at all neither their own products . Now I have 230 € worth of their inventory and I don’t know what to do with it . PLEASE DO NOT MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE THAT I DID . DO NOT BUY STUFF FROM THEM , IF SOMETHING HAPPENS TO. THE ORDER YOU WILL SPENT HOURS TRYING TO TALK WITH THEM . I AM SERIOUS
Very poor avoid IMO. Delivery took weeks to arrive and when it finally did there was a large import bill because it shipped from Europe.
Orbitkey these issues are completely in your control. (i) Choose a courier that is reliable and ships in good time (ii) if you are selling to the UK set up the required entity so your customers don't get unexpected customs bills (it added over 50% to my total cost) or warn UK customers during the order process.

The item never arrived from Orbitkey. They refused to send out another item and decided to process a refund without agreement. They aren't interested in selling a product or making sure customers are happy. They are interested in playing games with customers and do not intend on meeting their contractual obligations. I would recommend buying a different product from a different company.
