Very dishonest agency

Very dishonest agency. They stopped responding to my emails when I request for refund of my security deposit. They have not responded yet and I have not received my refund yet.

I payed for the rent from 25.01

I payed for the rent from 25.01, it’s 29.01 and I still haven’t got the keys to my room. I literally have no place to live, and they just don’t care. I saw the apartment, because they gave me the keys to the apartment(not the keys to my exact room). And it’s awfully dirty, it’s just disgusting to live in a place like that. They didn’t clean the apartment after the previous people even though they were informed about the mess and dirt! They answer to my messages in a good condition once a day. Awful situation!!!

Take my experience as a warning

Take my experience as a warning. I don't understand how OQORO can be a legitimate business.
We have an urgent problem with our rental and have tried to contact OQORO MANY times. They answered my first email with "try to fix it yourself". Of course I refuse to "try to fix it myself" to avoid the risk of becoming liable, which I told them.
OQORO has since ignored my repeated calls and mails for more than a month.
Finally someone picked up the phone and told me his colleague would call me back in an hour. That was more than a week ago and they haven't called me back.
Now I'm trying to cancel my lease, but they require a French IBAN if I want my deposit back.
At no point was I informed about this and again my numerous calls are being ignored..
I don't know how to proceed, unless I ask a friend to use his French IBAN. This is beyond unacceptable.
OQORO offer ZERO help.

Take my experience as a warning, my recommendation is clear: Avoid dealing with OQORO!

**EDIT** It is now February 20th.
Although I was contacted by OQORO the day after I posted my review above (posted on January 15th), the problem still haven't been resolved.
Moreover, we were still expected to pay full rent, despite them not keeping their part of the contract.
I have emailed OQORO about this multiple times, but this particular point has been ignored.

In the meantime I have relocated and from having read other reviews, I'm now anxiously awaiting the refund of my deposit.

Will write an update/how much of my deposit is returned to me.

Not a good platform

They are really unprofessional, they take a long time to reply, their website is a mess and can varely work. The person in charge of contacts Maeva, has a really agresive style of writing and wont answer back. Please find anyother company

Fraudulent departure procedures

This review concerns a rental in Lyon and specifically Oqoro's unacceptable exit procedures (31/07/23). Our daughter was asked if her parents would be present! All done on a smart phone. The agent was extremely surprised when we asked to read the report before signing it. The application crashed when it came to the signature stage. We had to leave without a copy of the report. A longer than legal wait to get the deposit back, and only because we kept on at them. Unjustified amounts retained, including for items noted as defective in the entry document. Utterly incoherent communications from them. I spoke to the Lyon office more than a week ago and was assured they would get back to me quickly. Still waiting ... The 2 star rating (instead of just 1) is due to the fact that this company accepts the Visale guarantee which so many companies do not. A 2nd rental in Grenoble is going well.

UPDATE: Je vous serais reconnaissante de bien vouloir me communiquer un numéro de téléphone auquel quelqu'un de l'agence de Lyon répondra, ainsi que l'heure à laquelle il sera possible de joindre le responsable de l'agence. Toutes les lignes sonnent dans le vide, y compris le numéro d'urgence (le seul proposé aux locataires). Vous avez mon no. de téléphone (fourni ce matin à votre demande). Un appel - tel que promis par le bureau de Lyon le 7 décembre -serait apprécié.

UPDATE : env. 50% de la somme retenue nous a enfin été remboursé en février. Merci.

About the deposite back, you're right we had been late and we are sorry about that. It will never happen again. However, we pay back more than 50% of deposite back in integrality, and we justify all amount that we keep.

For 5 months I tried to get the deposit back

For 5 months I tried to get the deposit back. OQORO kept a significant amount to pay charges although they were included in the rent. Emails were first not replied at all, then without a correct understanding of the facts. Now after 5 months OQORO agreed that the deposit should have been refunded and tells me to contact the landlord, as they no longer represent him. I have never been in contact with the landlord, I have no contact details and probably my deposit has been passed over to the landlord. There is no possibility to have a telephone call which wouldn't be a problem if emails were replied, but replies take a month or more. My advice: no business with them. They are not acting professionally.
UPDATE: After I wrote this unfavorable review I received 17 days later the information that the former landlord was contacted and if I could change the evaluation. After that mail it took another three weeks until the money finally arrived. The communication was always polite in tone but actions followed only with a very long delay and sometimes only after several reminders.

Great idea, poor realisation

Update: I was contacted the day after this review was posted. Since then the team has been trying to help us with our problems. This is all we ever asked for, normal communication. A message for OQORO - don't let your customers get so frustrated that they come to Trustpilot and give you bad reviews.

We recently moved to Paris and we were looking for an apartment that was listed by an agency in order to avoid scams. OQORO seems like a nice, modern digital solution, and it could be but it is not! They were nice until we signed the agreement and after that ciao ragazzi! Customer support should be a place where you should reach out if you have issues, questions etc....I have problems with several things, and opened a ticket 4 days ago and still haven't heard anything. I told them about the urgency and reached out several times after and still nothing. And this is just an example, I've had other situations before and it's just my third week in the apartment. I tried to be friendly and to solve things faster, but no....nothing worked. And it is impossible to reach them on the official phone number. We have only 1 key for 2 residents. They are well informed about this. If we accidentally close the door with the key inside that's it, we are sleeping outside! Since from the experience with them we won't be able to contact someone to help us.

They don't give back the reimbursement. I've been waiting for more than two months. Appart from that, they also tend to erase bad reviews on sites like this one. Be careful before signing with Oqoro.

700 euro deposit not being returned

My son is trying to get his 700 euro deposit back since the 1st of August. It is now the 15th of September with many phone calls and emails to OQORO going unanswered. Who is the regulator in France where we can make an official complaint?

10th of October. OQORO explained that the refund was sent to the wrong account number and this has been rectified. Thanks.

Real human interaction, always fast to response, good online tools (virtual visit).

One thing to be aware - the area of the room shown on the website room description does not equal to the one I measure from the virtual visit, the actual area is smaller by 3 m2. I suggest tenants to double check before decision.
