I’ve found the exact bag and model pictures on Temu, SHEIN and Ali express for £6 but is being sold on their website for £40 - AVOID

False advertising of a tote bag £45 dark tan seen in the picture free standing and I was surprised it arrived in the post in a FLAT PACK! The bag was folded and at first they were trying to find ways to deal with me A.k.A u happy customer but then when I wanted to return the item they decided to ghost me. Not reviving any information on the return request which they said I’d have to make sure is gone through before I make the return or I won’t get my money back. Now I don’t have £45 and I’m stuck with a bag that’s good for nothing honestly there’s no better way to describe it. So please reconsider your purchase at oomay they don’t care what they’re selling and they don’t care whose pocket they are hurting. Awful!

DO NOT PURCHASE FROM OOOMAY - it is a scam.
Bought two bags there, both were way smaller than described on the website. When trying to send them back I saw that the email indicated on their website was not working. I used the chat offered on the Website but never got an answer.

Poor quality bag - stitching is terrible, the actual vegan leather itself feels extremely rubbery, and plastic hardware that looks like a buckle from a dollar store or costume shop. Return policy is atrocious as I purchased it outside of the US (directly from the Ooomay website!). Tried to leave a review directly on their website but it hasn't been uploaded.

I ordered one bag bc I loved how the looked on insta. Long story short: the quality is very poor. The gold clasp is made of plastic :) you know these pirate costumes when you were young, these cheap weapons out of plastic? Looks and feels the same. The fabric is thin, stinks, is cheap.
The return to Miami would cost me ca 50€ from Germany. They also offered me 20% - I don’t think that I will get this after reading the comments..
I guess I’m just throwing it away. That’s so sad tbh, but this bag really looks like shit. Embarrassing to wear.

The bag was stinky and stunk of fish and then they didn’t even issue me the refund - forget about full refund they said they were going to give 20% refund but they didn’t even do that… very bad the worst service I have ever used please avoid

I am very disappointed with my Ooomay Julie bag. The photos shown on the website and in the reviews obviously do not match the bag that arrived. I am not giving it only one star because the measurements do match what is written in the size box, but that does not mean that I am not angry and upset with what I received. Also, considering that I have to pay the return completely, I think it would be more expensive to return it than to keep it.

Scammers. I have received the bag I had ordered which was poor quality and got damaged quickly. I emailed customer service and they offered a replacement, which I accepted. Replacement never came, and they have blocked my email so now when I try to send one it bounces back.

Ok let me start by saying the low-star reviews seem suspicious. I don't know if they purchased a bag directly from Ooomay or if they were dumb and thought buying a dupe on Shein/temu, claiming to be Ooomay at a fraction of the cost, and now Oomay is unfairly taking the heat.

I purchased two bags from Ooomay (The Julie- Black & The Hannah- Brown) after seeing an Instagram ad several times. Both bags were well packaged and smelled nothing of chemicals or glue like I saw in many bad reviews. Each bag had a tag that even noted that if there is a smell, it is due to the lack of ventilation during packaging/ shipping and will subside. Like I said, neither of my bags smelled of any concerning odor.

Quality: Honestly for $45 each, I think the bags are both well made. There isn't any inside lining/frills, which I wasn't expecting anyway. There aren't any compartments/separators in the bags either so if that's an issue for you these might not be the bags for you.

Shipping, I received my bags within 5 business days of my purchase. Considering it had to go through customs, I was impressed on how quickly I received my items. Overall I am happy with my purchase and don't regret falling for the IG Ad.

This is a Scam Company, I ordered a Bag and it was in an awful quality. Wanted to send it back (from Germany), so I wrote an e-Mail. I quickly got an answer, in which they wrote in german, that I would have to send it to Miami (very expensive!) Or that they could give me a refund over 20 % of the purchase price, because they just wanted me to be "happy".
Of course at this point I was sure, that this is a Scam Company, but 20% of the price was the Best I could expect, so I answered very nicely that I would be happy with this solution. Since then nothing happened. I even wrote another E-Mail a few days ago and now I got a "Mail delivery Failed", and the Mail Adress seems to not be found.... don't buy bags at this Company!!

I would give 0 stars if i could. The refund help email they give just bounces and the bag is really really cheap and so not worth the money. This was meant to be a gift for my daughter.

I ordered a bag for the purpose of carrying my laptop for work and university. When the bag arrived it was a great deal smaller than it appeared in the advertisements. I never would have ordered the bag if I knew how small it was.
When I requested a refund OOMAY advised me that their warehouse is located in Norway and it would be very expensive for me to return the bag as shipping costs would be my responsibility. They they offered me a 20% refund to keep the bag. When I told them I want to proceed with a refund, they offered me a 30% refund. I asked to proceed with a refund requesting the return address. They gave me an address in Florida, when originally they told me the warehouse was in Norway. I agreed to keep the bag for a 40% refund. They agreed and proceeded to refund me approx 33% of the purchase price. The size of the bag was not only deceiving, the quality of the bag is poor. I have seen other similar reviews. Oomay is a dodgy company, save yourself the trouble and don't buy from them. Their customer service policies are low!

I ordered a red OOMAY handbag as a present for my wife - price £38 + postage. It looked very nice in the picture and the blurb said something like 'made of vegan leather' - which I should have known is just sneaky code for 'cheap PVC'. It arrived after a long wait and... it's so thin and cheap that I was ashamed to present it to my wife - AND it stank so badly that store staff have commented 'what's that smell?' to her. Primark for £5 = fair enough for a piece of rubbish like this. £38 = total rip off. Needless to say I feel cheated and duped, and I will never buy anything from OOMAY again. If you are reading this, I advise you to avoid these people. They clearly have no pride or ethics.

Ooomay.com is a scam-company!!! I ordered my bag and when it finally arrived it was made in poor quality and smelled like nail polish. Googled the company AFTER I ordered and I found the exact same bag on Temu. On the company-instagram it looks like they are hiding comments. On their website they clame they sell “stunning bags”, that they “specialize in sustainable fashion” and that their bags is “beautifully and ethically made”. This unfortunately seems to be pure lies. Save yourself the money!!!

I’ve never bought from them, but these reviews made me save 40€. I literally found the same bag and the picture is the same but flipped. It’s 10€ on Amazon. If I have to buy a cheap quality bag at least I pay it for what is worth

Worst page ever. The bag I ordered smelled like chemicals and it came folded right in the middle of the bag, which made a crease that I would never get out. Also the material is the cheapest I've ever seen and definitely not worth the price!! The straps are so thin, it will probably cut into my should.
And their return policy is a joke. First of all you need to email them why you don't want to keep the item and then rather helping me out about the returning process, they want me to keep the bag and only get a 20% refund for the worst bag I've ever seen. So no dear Ooomay team I don't want to keep the bag and get a 20% refund. I want a full refund even if I have to pay the shipping myself.

Never buying from there again and also definitely not recommending it to anyone

SCAM!! Avoid this company and any purchases from here!! The bag came and it is horrible. It is very poorly made. I tried to request a refund and it's been a month of arguing with the company to get my money back. They won't release the shipping address to return the item, and give the same AI generated response.

Terrible. Bad quality bag and went to return. They took weeks to respond to my comms and then said it was too expensive for me to return so they will offer a 20% discount instead. I said I want to return so they gave me a return address in Miami which looks like it’s a freight company which will obviously then forward to China. After questioning this they have still not responded to my emails. Seems unlikely I will get a refund. Crap product and service!

Customer service is questionable as there were no replies from them for more than a week, messaged them on IG and no replies. All these messages are for my order that was not even received nor did anybody contact me about the delivery. I emailed them that my address needs to be updated, however it’s been sent back to the “Sender”. There were no follow ups, no emails, no replies. Is this actually a shop that sells products or just a scam? Absolutely ridiculous.

I don’t even write reviews, even if the product’s bad, but you’re an exception. “Ooomay” as well start replying to customers else just close down and stop giving false expectations to customer about your product through your marketing. Thank you.

After emailing the company for the returns address as instructed on their website they emailed me a week later asking for the reason and not sending across the address

This I assume is to delay the returns process so am I unable to send the item back on time
