My daughter was given a bag for her birthday but the wrong colour had been bought. I asked if we could please exchange it (I said I would cover postage) and I was told the company are not accepting exchanges but I could order another one.
I replied explaining I would cover all costs and then nothing….. no reply.
What a shame.
And honestly, the quality of the products are not good anyway. You could pick something up better from River Island, Zara etc.
Also, just have a read of the reviews - I wish we had.
Misleading quality & won’t offer a full refund
Advertised as very high quality bags and on discount, I bought this bag. The result was very disappointing and frankly aggravating. I ordered the Julie, it’s very low quality something you buy off SHEIN, and costs £41. When asking for a refund, the process is dodgy as you have to email them and they said you have to ship it to Miami at their warehouse and pay the delivery fees yourself or get a 20% refund. It’s VERY misleading on their website and they do not make this clear. Bag is no where near the quality advertised nor worth of £41.
If I wanted a Chinese bag I’d get a £15 one from Shein
I can’t explain how incredibly disappointing it is to receive a Chinese tracking label after you’ve just spent a lot of money on something on purpose to get a better quality. I wish I’d have read the reviews on here first, and saved myself from wasting a lot of money. Not looking forward to the bag arriving and not being able to get a refund.
Regretful purchase and do not recommend
Horrendous experience, terrible customer service from Oomay and iMile delivery contractors and will never shop from this company again.
(And interestingly every time I post this review on the Ooomay website, it gets removed)
After 10+ emails and messages to Oomay and iMile, I finally received my items after a month - far from the advised 5-12 day delivery period. When I contacted Oomay for any assistance as my package had not been delivered, their response was to take no responsibility and simply advise me to “contact the carrier”, appearing to wash their hands of the matter.
When the items arrived, WELL past Christmas, I was too embarrassed to give them as gifts. Both bags had a pungent chemical smell, and the quality was poor and disappointing. Advertised as “affordable luxury”, these bags are no better than something you would buy from a dollar store, or are similar to a $20 Kmart bag at best. Definitely not worth the $78 I paid, and absolutely not worth the advertised $171 RRP. What other people describe as “buttery soft” is really just cheap shiny plastic. Size is also misleading, is smaller than described and does not easily fit laptop as indicted.

You should be aware of the potential scam
This is a potential scam. The same bag (Maya bag) was selling on Amazon for half the price.
The shape and color were nice but the material is cheap plastic.
It was ordered in UK, all the prices were in £ dispatched from China but when I tried to return it I was told that I should send it to Miami and due to the high transport cost I should accept 20% discount.
These are certainly not designer bags. This should have been a present but it arrived later than expected as It was not specified that it would be dispatched from China. Also I read the return policy in advance but the fact that I would have to pay the shipping cost to US was also not made clear.
I am waiting for my 20% refund.

I bought a handbag during the Black Friday sale.
The handbag was great. However, we decided to return it because the handbag could not be closed completely.
I contacted Ooomay customer service by email.
Similar to the other reviews, we were told to send the parcel from Vienna to Miami at our own expense.
Instead, we were offered 20% of the price and could keep the handbag.
We thankfully declined, whereupon we received an offer of 30%.
Again we declined with thanks.
After several emails over the holidays (‘Can we send the package now?’) we then got an address.
Shipped with DHL (approx. 12€ shipping costs), the money was transferred back 2 days later.

Terrible bag & Terrible experience. The fabric of the bag is the worst quality, might give you a skin infection at best or cancer at worst. The packaging is dirty and messy, the order will take weeks to come and you probably will have to email them multiple time. Also smell of stinky fish and they send you a note with the bag to tell you its nothing to worry about - how lame.

Cute bags, true to pictures, not the best quality
A bit surprised about other reviews. My bag came in in two weeks, just as planned, carefully wrapped. It is cute and looks just like the pictures. Of course it's plastic, but I mean it was clearly labelled as vegan leather (which is precisely that - plastic). I don't think it's the best quality but you wouldn't expect that from the site. Overall I'd say, a little pricey for the quality if you buy full price, but when on sales you get your money worth with a cute fashionable bag.
Didn't have any issue so I can't comment on the customer service.

In two minds about Maya bag from Ooomay
Ordered as a gift on 4th December and received on the 14th.
I read the TP reviews AFTER I’d placed my order for a Maya bag. I seriously doubted if I would even receive it. However arrive it did after its long journey from China.
The bag is okay ish but I’m not entirely sure it’s worth £40.
It’s advertised as vegan leather and I was not sure what to expect from this. I thought there would be an attempt at a faux leather look. In reality it’s a bag made of a smooth plastic like material. Does not look like leather at all, so leather should not even be mentioned in the description to my mind.
It does have a nice soft feeling and it seems reasonably well made. It is lined and has a magnetic closure.
This one does not smell of fish as some other reviewers have mentioned.
I’m grateful to have received my order, but on reflection and proper research you can get much nicer non leather bags online that come from UK.
I will keep this bag as it seems from other reviews that returning is not easy.

The smell of this bag is absolutely horrific - don’t expect it to “air out” - I’ve had mine for a few months and it still smells strongly of rotting fish. The smell also leaks into anything you put into the bag. Completely unusable.

AVOID! The bag itself looks cheap and it STINK OF FISH. I’ve tried airing it out for days and the smell isn’t going away. I can’t even use it because the smell is so strong.

DO NOT BUY. Ordered a bag online and it literally smells like dead fish. The smell is so strong and unbearable. The website says you can return for a full refund. It doesn’t say that you have to pay for shipping to ship to another country and will only get 20% of the refund back.

Don’t recommend. Bag arrived smelling super fishy - kept it out on the balcony for two weeks on and off and it still smells just as bad. It’s also very poor quality- I’ve worn it twice and the stitches on the handle are coming apart.
