Thank you for your review. Both positive and negative feedback genuinely matter to us. As a family business, every review helps us learn, improve, and better guide our clients.

We’re happy to hear you liked the colours of the rug, as that is one of the strong points of the Louis De Poortere collection. At the same time, we understand your disappointment about the feel. These rugs are intentionally made as flatwoven and thinner, using polyester. This allows for a much wider range of colours and is also a more sustainable production choice. We try to show this as clearly as possible on the product images and descriptions so expectations are right from the start.

That said, the feeling underfoot is very personal, and it seems this rug simply wasn’t the right match for you.

What surprised us most is the 1-star rating, as it suggests that not only the product but also your overall experience with us may not have been good. That is something we take seriously, because we are real people behind this company and we care about how every client is treated.

If you are open to it, we would really appreciate hearing more about what went wrong. That way we can actually improve instead of guessing.

We are sorry to read your review, but the information shared here is not accurate.

Your order was placed on January 19 and shipped on February 2, with a FedEx tracking link sent to you the same day. This means there is no delay of “three months” as mentioned.

FedEx attempted delivery several times but was unable to complete it. According to the information we received from FedEx, they were not able to reach you during these attempts.

We also contacted you ourselves multiple times by email and phone, including a follow-up on February 24, but unfortunately did not receive a response.

As a result, the parcel is now being returned to us.

We always do our utmost to ensure successful delivery and to assist our customers personally, but this also requires communication so that delivery can be completed.

Regarding the visualiser, we completely understand your concern, but we would like to clarify an important point. The colour-shifting effect you noticed is not a flaw in the simulator as such, but a natural and expected characteristic of fibre-based rugs. With this type of material, the pile reflects light differently depending on the angle, the brushing direction and the shadows in the room. This creates multiple tones in real life, even if the digital image looks more uniform.

A simulator, no matter how advanced, cannot fully reproduce this physical behaviour of textiles. It is a limitation of technology, not of the product. Many customers actually appreciate this nuance once the rug is in place, because it brings depth and character.

Your feedback remains valuable to us, and we continue to improve the tool so it can represent such variations more clearly in the future. And of course, we are always happy to send real-life photos or videos on request to help avoid any surprises.

Onze tapijten zijn geen standaard pakketjes: ze zijn groot, volumineus en niet de meest geliefde colli’s voor de transporteurs. Daarom zijn we extra fier wanneer alles netjes, op tijd en zonder gedoe bij onze klanten aankomt.
