Had issue with card, currently being resolved

I received a gift card for my birthday, the silver scratch panel didn't come off properly so now the card is useless cos I can't read the CVV. Tried to contact them with their online form and it just errors!

UPDATE: I've had some more positive customer support from one4all so with any luck this will resolve my issue.

Awful

Awful website
Awful to redeem
Awful to use; most shop assistants roll their eyes when you get the cards out, stating they don't like them as you cannot see the balance and.
Awful if you get a refund as you cant view it.
Awful in general and the balances sit on the cards as you get to the stage where you cannot bear to go on line again and try and redeem them.
I have said to family and friends not to buy them again.
I have an account and I have 3 cards that I cannot even get the site to work to look at the balances.

Avoid! What an awful gift card, not user friendly

What an awful gift card, made so user unfriendly and unnecessarily complicated. My teen was gifted two for his birthday- when attempted to use at a restaurant and twice on a high street store (both listed as one4all approved) the card was not accepted and returned to us as void.
One card ended up in the bin and another just started to depreciate in value over time. Every time we checked the balance, the credit was reduced, for the privilege of checking the balance.
I will never buy these cards as gifts for family and friends and would advise anyone thinking of doing so to avoid like the plague.
Upon discussing my experience with friends, it appears this company is notorious for causing the recipient issues.
My poor teen lost sixty pounds worth of ‘gifts’ which I ended up reimbursing from my own pocket, to avoid the disappointment. He was also so embarrassed to have the gift card declined as payment at the time is attempted use.

Avoid at all costs! These are the worst gift cards I have ever had. They are practically impossible to spend either online or instore. They get declined every time I try to spend them and I have even had them re-issued once as they told me they must be faulty. Its embarrassing trying to use them. Don't buy it!

First, I purchased two gift cards for two people. When they tried to use them online, there was no balance because someone (hackers) had already used them in an online game shop. After providing proof that it was not us, the cards were refunded and replaced with two new digital ones.
A few months later, I tried to use the digital replacement cards to purchase in a physical shop, but their app was not working. I waited a few days and tried again, but it still didn’t work.

Impossible to spend

Impossible to spend. You have to buy something exactly at the balance of the card or less. Then I guess they pocket the remainder as you can’t spend it. Seems like an absolute scam. Just get a normal gift card.

If you are using the gift card in a store you can use it as part payment by informing the cashier of the balance on the card and by paying the remaining balance via alternative means. Most retailers can accept up to three forms of payment, but it does depend on each individual retailer if part payment is accepted.

This cannot be processed online. When spending online the balance of the gift card must cover the full transaction cost.

The card made of piece of paper and very easy to damage, You must swipe it to spend + signature requirement, You can't scan the card, you can't spend the money left over on the card and pay the rest.

The absolute worst,

The absolute worst,

Honestly its amazing how scammy and scummy this is, we really do need to normalise just giving money as the extra steps needed to actually use it is mind blowing.

I got a £10 gift card, first impression, sweet a tennor but then you find out that you can only buy something online thats less than tenner so you cant use it to take money off a higher ticket item.

So for starters you'll most likely loose out as the amount of things that are exactly a tennor is pratically 0 so you'll most likely get much less like lose 25% of the value and get something at like £7

Then your thinking to use instore, first of all you have to download an app! another app just to spend money you've been given, what is the world coming to, then you get app and to sign into the app it has 2FA , so i need to sign into my emails to confirm, 3 times i had to do that before i could get in, but a las now its telling me to disable my debug settings on my phone which i use for my work just to get in to the app.

All this versus just giving someone money, where crazy stat, it can be used in ANY SHOP with no app or no signing in. No expiry date.

At this stage ive given up, this is an absolute scam, designed to put mechanisms in place so hopefully you wont claim the full amount or too much hassel like me and give up.

So disappointing

So disappointing – do not buy these. I bought 16 cards as gifts and you can’t use more than one card per purchase, and you also can’t spend more than £50 in a single transaction, even when each card has £100 on it. If a transaction fails, customer service just blames the shop, saying the merchant ‘might not accept One4all anymore’ or comes up with some other excuse. Overall, the restrictions and poor support make these cards practically unusable

If i could give 0 star i would.
DO NOT BUY A GIFT CARD FROM THIS COMPANY.
And if you do make sure you check where it is accepted and read EVERY single detail on their terms and conditions.

Clearly states on the front of the card PIZZA HUT is Pizza Hut accepted??? ABSOLUTELY NOT !!!

Even though it is plastered all over the front, false advertising, They do not accept this card at Pizza Hut.

Stuck with a bill to pay at a little boys birthday, totally embarrassed and caused major stress and upset.

Im now seven emails later to get my own money back off their card and still don't have it. Got offered a pathetic £10 compensation which ws supposed to be refunded as well but because i said it was very low but just pay it they have now decided not to pay it and send the whole case back to review. New reference numbers and the process starting all over.

I know exactly what is going to happen they will say in another four weeks £10 is all im getting and I'll have to wait again for the £10.

So for £40, seven emails, unbelievable stress I'll probably wait another 2 months.

VULNERABLE CUSTOMER, REGISTERED DISABLED, SEVERELY LOW INCOME

Better to put a few tenners in an envelope

I was gifted a card 14 months ago by work colleagues. It was difficult to use at the first attempt but managed with the assistance of an ingenious shop assistant. I now can’t use the balance as the card itself expired 11 months after purchase, 7 months before the advised spend date. Trying to sort it out with customer services so I live in hope. I will not use these again as they amount to a scam. I am on the point of giving up on the £24 balance, which they must count on to boost the company’s profit. Just not worth it, better to put a few tenners in an envelope as a gift.

Virtually unusable, don't buy

Please don't buy these - they are virtually unusable. They're easily bought as gifts for people but when they come to use/spend them it's incredibly difficult for recipients to use.
The cards are clearly designed to be unusable so that One4All just absorb the funds.

After 18 months they start charging you…

After 18 months they start charging you 90p a month for admin charges. Not sure what additional admin costs there are with an unused cards?! Also, confusing when using, as they have a card number and card id. Wastes time at checkout. Don’t waste money gifting these.
