Aweful dealership ,
Have been without a car for nearly 3 months..
They sold me a faulty car with the wrong battery in.
They ignore emails they don't sort out any issues you raise and pass the buck to each other, I will be taking this as high as I can go as I'm paying the finance every month for a car that doesn't work!
They have made my experience of getting a new car extremely stressful and unpleasant.
Absolutely disgraceful company stay well clear of them!!!

Sales decent and helpful. After sales and customer service non existent. Did not bother to arrange the transfer of the registration document to me and all attempts at communication ended at a brick wall. Indifferent towards the customer once they have made the sale.

Absolutely terrible experience. We travelled from the Wirral to Bury after being called twice that morning and confirming we would arrive at 12pm. We then sat waiting 4½ hours for the car to arrive.
The service was awful. One member of staff with grey hair repeatedly walked past, shrugged his shoulders and sarcastically said “nothing I can do” rather than actually helping.
Then, just 30 minutes before the car finally arrived, the manager came over to tell us there was a large dent in the bonnet, saying they had no idea how it had happened.
When we finally got the car, it had only 12 miles of charge, meaning we had to stop and charge it on the way home, and it hadn’t even been valeted. We subsequently had to book it back in for repairs, with two tyres down and 4 worn brakes. FAILED the AA inspection but decided to only show us/ send this to us AFTER we asked days later. Also no log book with the car, said they’d send it but haven’t
An incredibly stressful and disappointing experience from start to finish. We travelled a long way and were left sitting around for hours, only to receive a car that wasn’t in the condition we expected.
Don’t believe half of these reviews, quite shocked there’s so many good ones, probably family and friends….

I reserved a car however due to some issues with admin fees I withdrew from the purchase. I have since requested the deposit be refunded numerous times and haven’t had any confirmation even though the car has been relisted for sale.

Went to look around for a car this morning. The choice of cars were poor and presentation was terrible. I went to Cartime after and couldn’t be happier. Picked a nice shiny Tesla and drive it away the same day.

Windscreen washer pump and air con pump both failed within warranty period. Yes I had to wait a couple of weeks to get booked in, but both replaced without quibble.
Customer service was excellent.

Very disappointing experience – avoid
I purchased a car from this motor company and unfortunately the experience has been extremely disappointing.
The car had only 30,000 miles on the clock, yet just 10 days after purchasing it, the clutch failed while I was on the motorway. This left me in a very difficult and stressful situation, and I had to arrange and pay for the recovery of the vehicle myself.
What made matters worse was the customer service throughout the whole situation. Rather than dealing with the problem promptly and reasonably, the company dragged its feet and repeatedly tried to push for a repair, despite me wanting to reject the vehicle.
Eventually, after a lot of unnecessary hassle, I was able to reject the car. However, it then took almost two weeks for my money to be returned, adding even more frustration to an already very poor experience.
A car with only 30,000 miles failing after just 10 days is bad enough, but the way the situation was handled afterwards was, in my opinion, even more disappointing. The lack of urgency, communication and customer service made what was already a stressful situation considerably worse.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If you are considering buying a car from them, I would strongly suggest doing your research and making sure you understand your rights if something goes wrong shortly after purchase.
Very disappointed with both the vehicle and, more importantly, the way I was treated as a customer.

**⚠️ Avoid this dealership — extremely poor customer service, and they do not take responsibility\.**
I had the car for just **10 days** before the clutch suffered a major failure on the motorway, leaving me in a dangerous situation and requiring recovery\. I initially paid to have the car recovered to my home, but the dealership then refused to collect it, meaning I had to pay **additional recovery costs** to get it back to them\.
I’m now around **£250 out of pocket**, as well as losing money through unpaid time off work, while still having to pay insurance and tax for a car I couldn’t use\. The dealership appeared to be trying to delay and avoid resolving the issue until I asserted my consumer rights, which prolonged the situation far longer than it should have\.
This experience caused me a great deal of stress, inconvenience and financial loss\. What’s most disappointing is the lack of responsibility and consideration shown towards me as a customer\. **I strongly advise people to think twice before buying from here\.** Very poor after\-sales service and customer care\. A formal complaint is being made\.

My finance company sent me this after months of trying to have my car fixed. -
“We're struggling to get any help from the dealership, which is why we wondered if you could get a repair quote from a local garage for us”.
Bought a car from here in February. Within a week of ownership, the battery was dead and various engine lights on the dash. Oakwood told me bring the car to them (3 hours away). The car didn’t drive because of the faults at the time. They tried and tried to get me to pay for recovery down there!
I took the car to a local garage after a lot of back and forth and was given a quote. Oakwood didn’t want to pay the money for repairs or a new battery. I ended up having to pay for a battery myself so the car would drive as I desperately needed it for work. The dealership would only pay a certain amount for it and my finance company had to pay the remainder. I’m still waiting for my money back from Oakwood for the battery which I got about two months ago!
I’m a few months down the line still with a broken car. Oakwood have zero interest in having it fixed and have caused unbelievable amounts of stress since I bought the car.
I cannot stress how much to AVOID Oakwood, I really don’t want anyone else to go through what I’ve had to!

Bought my car a couple of weeks ago and Riley has been great throughout the process. Would recommend to friends or family.

I can only advise that anyone who is thinking of buying a car from Oakwood makes sure the car is absolutely perfect before you buy it, as you won't be getting any after sales support, that's for certain.
I bought a car on the 31st of May and have still not received the parts I was promised on day one, which were the condition of my purchase. It is now the 19th of August as I am writing this, two and a half months later.
I was promised upon buying the car that I would be sent proof in writing of what we had agreed (new tyre and replacement bits of trim where they had been damaged) the second I had left the dealership. This never arrived. I have sent countless emails and had multiple phone calls with various members of staff trying to chase the parts and get the verbal agreement in the dealership in writing.
As it was getting closer to the 30 day limit in which I could return the car, I said to them I would return the car seeing as they hadn't upheld their part of the agreement. They promised they would rectify the issues, only once I told them I was in my car on the way to the dealership. However I believe this was only to ensure the 30 day limit passed, as they still haven't done what they promised.
I have had the car back in the dealership once, which was a battle in itself to get there, where I left with them having done absolutely nothing to my car, except ripping part of the underside of the car off, even after promising that they had the parts in stock, along with countless phone calls and emails trying to get things sorted with no luck at all getting anything done.
They are more than happy to promise the world, but cannot deliver on anything they say and cannot be trusted. I absolutely would never buy from them again and have advised people I know to avoid them at all costs.

Oakwood Motor Company Bury were really helpful and I'd recommend them because Andy came across as an honest guy. I was very nervous about the whole transaction as it is alot of money but they seem trustworthy and willing to help. The extended warranty, services and mot for 3 years is a nice touch.
I have had the car for a week and so far so good.
Thanks

I would avoid avoid avoid this garage we purchased a car and Lee lied about the service history they drove the car to me over 150miles with many faults and when I wanted to reject they refused to collect it and won’t speak to you over the phone this garage is very dodgy and I wouldn’t avoid them at all cost

I bought a car from this dealership. Typically the dealership was very helpful at first giving me updates on my identified car with all things that needed fixing which was great. The finance team was fabulous and explained everything to me. When I went to collect my car, an item had not been fixed and the sales consultant Robert was very upfront about it and said a replacement was coming in a few days and will be sent to my address. It has been 4 months now and no replacement sent!! I have sent emails asking about this with no reply! The warranty company they provide is literally useless I would advise not adding warranty and buy your own MANUFACTURER WARRANTY NOT THESE THIRD PART WARRANTIES. One star for the finance girl being helpful and one star for a decent car.

My experience was pretty good. Service from Riley was great, he answered all my questions and attended to all my needs. Knew I was coming 4 hours away so he told me everything I needed to know apart from some little things, he also gave me a full tank for my journey back! The car I was buying could’ve been prepped better from them, decent clean also I could’ve been made aware of the minor marks it had. Overall pretty good. Definitely recommend Riley, he was very good.

I've had a great experience with Oakwood, I've been to a few car dealerships before but Oakwood was above them all, especially Olivia who offered to send me a video of the car which helped and then answered all my questions on the test drive and advice on route because I wasn't local to the area thank you 😀

Terrible customer service at Oakwood Motor Company Tottington. Rang in to speak to Riley regarding buying a their 2019 Audi Q3. Paul answered the phone who forgot to put me on hold, whilst waiting for Riley to answer, Riley asked Paul who is it, Paul imitated & mocked my deep husky voice to Riley. I told Riley I heard everything and was deeply annoyed & upset this happened. This was supposed to be a joyful moment to me after 8 years of hellish health issues & some still ongoing, not having a car has demoralized me so I were excited to buy my dream car which I viewed earlier then to be laughed at by Oakwood staff this has affected my brittle confidence once again.
This was nothing to do with Riley, he couldn't apologize enough for Paul.
This has cost them a sale of £18k, not going to spend a penny with them. Going to spend the money where my custom is appreciated.
Ps thought I might have had a phone call today to see if I was ok and wanted the Audi?
Nope!!

Olivia, who took care of us from the very first moment until the handover of the car keys, is a very sweet and pleasant sales manager. Thank you!"

Was looking at buying a car here a few months ago, put a holding deposit down but ended up getting a better deal elsewhere. I still have not had the deposit back and all of my emails are being ignored - simply unacceptable. Also impossible to get a straight answer on final price. Would avoid buying from this place.
