I fished with Captain Andrew on March 16th, 2026 out of Boqueron and had a very good day. Andrew is super knowledgeable, very friendly, and worked hard to keep us on fish all day. He really know how to handle the skiff—-from poling to motoring through chop, he’s an expert. The staff at No Name were also very accommodating to me as I came to them with a late request for a fishing day. I’m impressed they made it happen and am forever grateful to them. I’d highly recommend their services and will definitely try to fish with them again. The area is beautiful, there are a ton of fish, and the captains know their stuff. Just don’t trout-set and remember to bow to the king!

I was down at NNL in August of 2025 just after a hurricane rolled through. Once the weather stabilized the fishing was simply incredible. There are plenty of tarpon around ranging from micros up to 50+lbs or so but what has me going back this year is the tailing permit. Not many places with coral rubble flats where they tail their faces off. HIghly recommend for anyone who likes to permit & tarpon fish. Accomdations at the lodge are great and the vibe is super fun and laid back. Strong guide team running Maverick skiffs which is a huge plus vs. fishing out of pangas at most other lodges. Cooper and the admin team are first class and will take care of you - so in short - I am going back and will keep going back!

Fished for 6 days with great, friendly guides, the lodge was very comfortable and our host Sue did a great job with breakfast and keeping our living area looking tidy.

Had an amazing day with August and the No Name crew! Couldn’t have asked for a better day on the water both my girl and I landed a handful of Tarpon and even had shots at the ever so sneaky permit! I’d highly recommend these guys and get on their books ASAP! Great time with even better people

Spent one day with an excellent guide, Evan, hunting for tarpon--my first time. Evan was expert at locating fish everywhere, in particular along the edges of mangroves. Got into a number of tarpon. A wonderful experience worth every penny.

Epic week. Jumped (and landed) a ton of fish. Top notch guides, food, accommodations and hospitality. I've traveled the world (Mexico, Belize, Florida, Venezuela, Seychelles to name a few) and these guys have it dialed and do it right. It's rare to find a fishery that is abundant, healthy and not pressured...but this is definitely one of them.... Highly recommend!!

Wow!!!! Unique destination, lots of fish able water, Super fishy Guides. The accommodations were right on the water stocked with cold beers, rum and great hosts. Guests felt like family within minutes of arrival. I could go on and on, but I’ll keep it short and just say I’ll be back. Thanks to Matt & Cooper, the support staff and the incredible Guides for making memories that will stay with me for a life time!

Kudos to this group for being brave and providing a new (to me anyway) lodge experience. At the risk of being viewed as a people-hater, it’s a nice change of pace not bumping into a housekeeper, bartender, cook or server on the premises.
What the place lacks in service more than makes up for in the fishing. Tons and tons of fun-sized tarpon that will never refuse a fly due to being harassed a dozen times in the past five days. It’s just because they didn’t see it or just aren’t into your offering.
The permit are challenging but plentiful enough that you’ll get used to seeing trophy sized fish by midweek. There aren’t many dinner-plate sized palometa’s here!
It seems that fishery is evolving nicely with a group of guides that is really starting to understand the permit fishery. And that’s not easy to do when packs of tarpon are so available and willing!
I can’t wait to come back in ‘26!

I needed “away” time badly. They fulfilled that need 5 times over. Fantastic Friends Food and FISH!

Nicer accommodations would be a good improvement. Lunch was terrible! Every day same lunch that might be convenient however not what customers are used to! Breakfast was fine however no juice! On a positive note the fishing was very good. The skiffs make it dangerous in 2- 4 feet waves and very uncomfortable. Very good fishing guides.

Awesome dudes and great guides in a super unique place!

This is an incredible fishery. The vast amount of baitfish make for a lot of tarpon as well as other species. The permit fishery does not seem to be well understood. Accommodations were good but basic, nearby restaurants were just ok. I signed on to use lodge rods and reels which didn’t get conveyed to the guides, but they scrambled and I had decent equipment. There seems to be a lot of area as yet unexplored. Boats were good, but the guides were outstanding.

Our group of six anglers, ranging from novice to experienced, all enjoyed an excellent time at No Name Lodge. The guides were eager to make our time on their boats enjoyable, sharing their knowledge, giving helpful and patient assistance, all the while adding good humor. Truely professional. everyone in our group successfully landed tarpon throughout the week with other species mixed in (snook, snapper, and almost a permit!). The lodge was very comfortable and dinners at the various walkable restaurants in town were all excellent, economical, and provided an excellent feel to the culture of the island. No Name Lodge succeed in all aspects, and everyone in our group is ready to return. Thank you Cooper and Matt for offering such a well-run operation with attention to all the details to ensure a wonderful experience for your guests.
