DO NOT have a nogo fitted it causes chaos

I purchased a high spec Audi Q7 Black Edition and my insurer Hiscox insisted I had additional security and recommended a nogo immobiliser. I looked at it and it seemed reasonable at £395 relative to other options. It was fitted and that was a very poor experience with a fitter arriving on a day when it was pouring with rain and proceeding to fit it with doors open and no protection from the rain. I asked him about a cover and he said he was worried about the wind (there was none ) . I offered to put it into the walled courtyard but he said he would be fine . Despite making it clear I wasn’t happy he continued to work and said he wasn’t worried about the door getting wet just the seat and the only the corner was getting wet! This rang alarm bells .
He left and the first time I drove the car the following day various warning lights came on re emissions, stabilisation, and ignition. I was sure this could be no coincidence. They dispatched their Regional Installation Manager who spent a number of hours checking it out and stated it had been installed correctly but clearly knew it had the potential to cause problems. He cleared the warnings and asked me not to take it to Audi but to monitor it for 2 weeks and keep them posted. He also asked me to leave it for 30 seconds when I got in before I started the car !! It then went from bad to worse, several random warnings including whilst motorway driving stating I should pull over immediately. On doing so and restarting car the lights went out (bar the emissions light). I have now told them to take it out. They should not be selling them with this issue and Insurers certainly shouldn’t be recommending them
