I adopted my six-year old Romanian rescue (Button) from Stichting NKM Dog and Cat Rescue Team.

From the very first online inquiry everything was professional, friendly and transparent. I had a WhatsApp interview with Cynthia who took the time to get to know me and make sure that I was the right match for Button. When I went to meet Button in person, Cynthia had already prepared me for his personality and quirks – everything she told me was accurate and there were no surprises.

Button had been given a lot of love and care by Stichting NKM Dog and Cat Rescue Team after his tough start in Romania. Cynthia had already toilet-trained him, which was a game changer for me. Before I took him home, she gave me practical tips on how to help him settle, what to expect in the first weeks, and the best ways to build his confidence.

In the early days after the adoption, when I had a question I messaged Cynthia and she always replied quickly with helpful, experienced advice that made the transition period so much easier.

Today, I don’t know what I would do without Button, he’s my best friend and the best little guy in the world. He fits perfectly into my life and makes every day better.

I've had the pleasure of working with Cynthia and her animal rescue for some time now and I can't speak highly enough about her dedication and love for the animals in her care. We have 3 cats from her - 2 adopted and one that started as a foster but quickly became a failed one because we fell in love with her too!

Cynthia is very strick with the adoption process because she wants to make sure that every cat and dog goes to the right home. Her passion and high standards are exactly what make her rescue so special and trustworthy.

It's unfortunate that some people misunderstand her approach but it is thanks to her that many animals came out of the streets to safe loving homes, mine included!

If you adopt at NKM you will be giving a home and a real chance to an animal in need. I truly recommend her rescue to anyone ready to adopt with responsability and love.

We got our cat Buffy in October 2023. She is the sweetest kitty and we are so happy to have her thanks to Stichting NKM Dog and Cat Rescue Team. The communication with Cynthia has always been great, she was very helpful and you could always reach her for questions or concerns. It is a great organisation that has the safety and welfare of all animals as a top priority. They also keep track of the animals after they are placed and make sure they are well taken care of and the cat/dog parents are happy as well.
