Bought a Nissan Juke Tekna 3 years ago in a Fiji Sunset colour with black roof. It’s only 5 years old (Dec 70) but the intense sun this summer has caused the black paint to peel in places exposing the... See more

Our Nissan Juke has been with a Nissan dealership for nearly five months, leaving us without our own vehicle for an unacceptable length of time.
Despite repeated contact with Nissan Customer Services, there has been no meaningful progress, no clear explanation for the delay, and no firm timescale for repair. Communication throughout this process has been poor, and we have constantly had to chase for updates.
Although a courtesy car has been provided, this does not excuse a repair taking nearly five months on a vehicle that is barely a year old. This situation is completely unreasonable and has caused significant inconvenience and stress.
Nissan Customer Services have failed to take ownership of the issue or drive a resolution, which has seriously damaged our confidence in Nissan as a brand. Based on this experience, I would not recommend Nissan to anyone considering buying a new vehicle.

🚨 Extremely Poor Experience With Nissan & Customer Services – Customers Left Stranded 🚨
@NissanUK
I’m posting publicly because after 10 days of trying to resolve this privately, absolutely nothing has happened.
RAC recovered my in-warranty Nissan and attempted to deliver it to Nissan Guildford, who refused to accept it. Since then, my car has been left sitting in an RAC compound with no movement, no update, and no ownership from Nissan at all.
Despite me chasing three times a day, my complaint has been passed between multiple customer service agents — some “on holiday”, some “not working that day” — and no one has taken responsibility. Meanwhile:
• My warranty expires at the end of this month
• My MOT also expires this month
• And my car is still sitting untouched in a compound because your dealership rejected it and no one has arranged collection.
This is incredibly poor customer service and completely unacceptable for a major brand. A simple warranty repair has turned into a 10-day ordeal with zero progress, no communication, and no accountability.
Nissan – please sort this out urgently. I expect immediate contact, confirmation of where my car will be taken, and reassurance that the warranty/MOT timelines will not disadvantage me due to your delays.
Customers should not be left stranded like this.

Steer well clear - very poor after sales/customer support who are not able to provide basic support. I've elevated my issues to the Managing Director's office who, while engaging, are equally slow and 'awaiting technical team to provide a response'. My issues relate to the lack of clarity and process for software updates on a near £50,000 car. There have been ZERO positive aspects of owning a Nissan. I will never repeat the mistake and encourage others to take their business elsewhere. I accept things go wrong but when they do it's how your react, respond and resolve that counts. Very very poor from Nissan. Nissan Customer Service Case No. 02755487 for those at Nissan!

Shocker between RAC and Nissan my car is missing... Vehicle Potentially Misplaced & No Action Taken Since 26 November 2025
To Whom It May Concern,
I am writing to escalate a serious and unresolved situation regarding my vehicle, which I now believe may be missing or stolen.
Here is a summary of the issue:
Failed Recovery & Handover:
The RAC recovered my car but, according to FG Barnes Nissan dealership in Guilford, it was not delivered to them correctly to allow for diagnosis. The RAC states the dealership was meant to drive it in, while the dealership insists, they do not have the car and cannot perform any diagnostic work.
Total Inaction & Timeline:
Despite the incident occurring and the car being recovered on 26 November 2025, there has been zero progress. I have been passed between RAC and Nissan customer services in circles, with each party blaming the other or not being honest. My vehicle appears to have been in a state of limbo since that date, with no meaningful checks or actions taken.
Current Status & Escalation:
As far as I am concerned, a vehicle under your collective care has now effectively disappeared from the process. Given the complete breakdown in communication, accountability, and the failure of either party to locate or secure my asset, I am left with no choice but to treat this as a potential theft.
Therefore, I am now formally notifying you that I will be reporting this matter to the police as a stolen vehicle.
I expect an immediate, coordinated, and senior-level response from both RAC and FG Barnes Nissan dealership by the end of today:
• The exact, verifiable current location of my vehicle.
• A concrete, step-by-step plan to resolve this immediately.
• Direct contact details for a manager who will take full responsibility.
The time for excuses and being passed between departments is over. This requires urgent and serious intervention.
Sincerely,

Nissan Leaf 40KW/h Worst car ever
I had my Nissan Leaf 40KW/h brand new from the dealer. Problems started from very early days with wind screen wipers working manually even on auto mode, rear seat belts beeping even when there is no one sitting on the seat. Also main control panel for windows not working suddenly.
At 91,000 miles I had a serious message on dash board: Reduced Power, Service EV system. I booked appointment at WLMG for repair. and they repaired the car and charged me 180 pounds I took the car and to my surprise its exactly the same from 90% charge I drove 37 miles only and the charge reached 1% thank God I reached home.
Nissan leaf electric is very very bad car I would never but a Nissan anymore.

Absolutely appalling customer service, emails do not get a response, official complaints are not responded to, phone calls are not returned. Like most people here I won't but Nissan again and can't wait to be rid of this noose.
James Taylor you need to get your house in order!!

The customer service is awful! As per all previous reviews, nobody phones you back. Taking 3 months to repair a car, I’ve been lied to every time I phone regarding the update of my vehicle that I’m paying for yet not been able to drive.
When submitting a complaint online, people still don’t get back to you.

Had my Qushqai from new for three and a half years only 48,000 miles on the clock. Full service history carried out at Nissan dealer. Then bang clutch went! Not a problem easy fix about £900 How wrong could I be.
Dual Mass Flywheel and both Track Rod Ends and a bill of almost £4,000 also gone. Later models have upgraded Track Rod Ends so Nissan knew about the problem and the use of cheap sub standard parts and materials. As Nissan dealer turned away the car I was left with the option of another Nissan dealer 30 miles away. This was not an option sojust went with a RAC Approved garage. As the car did not go to a Nissan dealer these have just washed their hand of the problems. First and last Nissan I will evef own.
Worst customer service I have ever come across
Well I got a reply from Nissan Customer don't Care. Don't know why they even bothered? Just a bog standard reply saying to call there Customer Don't Care Department.
They have done nothing about the situation

Got to say every contact I’ve had with Nissan over the last 3 years has been extremely poor all I can say is at least you’re consistently bad !! Dear oh dear . Nissan Qashqai e power tekna advertised on autotrader at bishops stortford and the dealership can’t even find the car . Is there any surprise as to why Nissan are in trouble . It’s so bad that it’s funny

I received a recall letter from Nissan stating that the repair should take only one hour, or up to five hours if there was already a fuel leak issue. I booked the first appointment of the day at 7:30 AM at Glyn Hopkin Watford. After handing in my keys, I was told I could only collect my car at 5 PM.
When I asked about the time mentioned in the letter, the staff said Nissan was “not clear” and gave no proper explanation. They didn’t even check the car before deciding it would take all day, and I was not offered a courtesy car. This is not the first time I’ve had issues — I bought this used car less than a year ago and have already been back to this dealer four times.
Very disappointed with how they treat customers. It feels like they are not being honest or helpful, and I don’t understand why they make things so difficult.

Have a problem with my new car, booked into a service centre via the Nissan Web site. Got a confirmation email, turned up at the centre didn't have me booked. They say it was Nissan that didn't book it. Tried to put a complaint on the Nissan Web site. You can't do it as the submit button disappears. Terrible customer service

Needed 4 new tires for my Leaf. Great information and advice from the service manager at Wellington Nissan. Price good and service excellent - including complimentary safety check and car wash. Good to know the support they provide.

I must say it’s the worst company I have ever had to deal with in terms of customer service and product knowledge.
I will thankfully only have the car for another year, and I can’t wait to get rid of it now, mainly due to Nissan's abysmal customer support.
Nissan UK, it appears I am not the only person who thinks this, if you’re feedback is anything to go by.

Leased a qashqai e power 14 months ago, 3 weeks ago the engine decided to start making banging noises, no warning signs. Managed to pull over and was recovered. Roadside assistance said no problem with oil or fluids.
Taken to local dealership where it was decided that a new engine was required ! The car has 11000 miles on the clock. I informed them that I had a bereavement and that was the reason that the service was missed. I was travelling back and forward to my mother. Nissan warranty gave a virtual shrug of the shoulders and said, tough.
There is not a chance that a service missed by 1000 miles on a practically new car would lead to a catastrophic engine failure. I’ve asked for proof that not having a service directly contributed to a new engine being required but having read some of the reviews on here, I’m not holding my breath.
Like most corporate entities they claim to be customer driven but it’s always about bottom line and shareholders. I’ve been without a vehicle for 4 weeks and no end in sight.
It’s scandalous that I have been given no information about exactly what went wrong with the engine and why an engine that’s designed to last for decades couldn’t even last 11000.
My complaint has been registered and we wait to see how it transpires but one thing is certain, no more Nissans and my advice to everyone i speak to will be the same.

Went from Leeds to Thurso Via A9. Have a 18 month old Nissan X Trail - Tenka. Car broke down and then went into the car breakdown compound for 4 days before it was taken 100 miles to Inverness to the main dealer. The Nissan dealer asked for £312 up front to look at the car - just incase the warranty does not cover the cost of looking at the car. Found out the car needed a new engine, new gearbox and a new self charging batteries and motors. Took the garage 3 weeks to fix it. Then another week to fit the new front tyres. During this time - we were going to Orkney Islands for 2 weeks. We got a hire car. After the car was fixed - we were back home in Leeds. The car is still in Inverness - 2 weeks after the tyres were fitted. Still no dated given to bring the car back to Leeds. I offered to pick it up myself - 800 mile return for £1000. They declined. The dealership was crap. They refunded the £312 after 5 weeks. Customer service was very good to start off with. But once in the dealership - nothing. You have to chase Nissan up . Never ever return calls. I have a claim for refund of hotel cost for 2 night from Nissan RAC and there even worse.

What customer service??
Call them numerous times, say they will call back but never do.
Email them and they deny receiving anything.
What is the point of them?
Will never buy a Nissan again.
Stop mentioning Facebook as a method of communication as not everyone uses it.

I purchased a Nissan Qashqai brand new on a lease, within 2 weeks of the vehicle being delivered a warning message and audible alarm activated stating that there was a system fault and consequently deactivating my driver assistance system including lane assist, accident and collision prevention and the Pro Pilot system (adaptive cruise control).
I therefore booked the vehicle into my local Nissan Dealership (Virtu) where I was told the vehicle would need to have a diognostic which I was told and also I expected would be covered by the warranty since the vehicle hadn’t even exceeded 1000 miles at this point and was only weeks old.
Frustratingly my vehicle was in the garage for nearly a week. Before collecting I was contacted by the garage to inform me that due to the message only appearing the once on the dashboard that shockingly it wouldn’t be covered by the warranty. I therefore contacted Nissan UK directly by phone to request assistance with my warranty claim but after many phone calls and emails I was disgusted to be told that I would indeed be liable for the diognostic cost and when I questioned this I was informed that the warranty only covers faults after the second visit to a garage and would not cover the cost of any diagnostics.
I previously owned a brand new Vauxhall that required warranty work twice during its lease, on both occasions Vauxhall dealt with the issue on the first visit, provided me with a courtesy car free of charge and covered all costs under the warranty including the diagnostic.
I will never again purchase a Nissan and i strongly encourage everyone else to do the same, the reliability of Nissan vehicles is poor, I have experienced multiple issues since my last garage visit including with the infotainment system that regularly crashes, the Bluetooth connection is terrible, calls are regularly disconnected from the car whilst I’m driving which defeats the point of using hands free and I have no trust whatsoever that the vehicle won’t have further issues as time goes by. Surprisingly at the garage the technician listed some of the common issues he’s encountered which Nissan have refused to issue a recall for. These include faulty cameras on the window and faults with the gearbox on the automatics.

In early September 2025, during a routine telephone enquiry with Nissan Customer Service, I was informed that there were outstanding recalls on my vehicle, specifically relating to the Brake System and Telematics Control Unit. During this call with Nissan Customer Service, I was prompted to book an appointment with my nearest dealership — Glyn Hopkin Mill Hill. Nissan Customer Service confirmed the Recall works by email after directly liaising with Glyn Hopkin Mill Hill — that the recall work was valid and scheduled.
Based on this assurance, I attended the dealership on 18th September, arriving at 8:30 AM and remaining there until 5:10 PM — a total of 7 hours and 40 minutes — only to be informed that no work was required on my vehicle.
This is a staggering failure of communication, coordination, and respect for your customer’s time!!
