Major safety violation

Worst experience ever. Flight NP80 Luxor - Cairo was delayed for over 4 hours with zero communication and fake excuses from staff. We took off with a different airplane and we had to seat randomly, as aircraft had other seat numbering. No new boarding passes printed and no passport control at the gate to anyone. !!! Most shockingly, the crew commenced taxiing while passengers were still standing in the aisles—a gross safety violation !!! To make matters worse, they ignored paid seat assignments and ground staff was dismissive. Unprofessional, unreliable, and above all, dangerous. Save yourself the trouble and fly with someone else.

I had a very disappointing experience with Nile Air.

My flight NE21 from Luxor to Cairo on March 6, 2026 was cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my travel plans.

Since then, I have tried to contact the airline multiple times via email and phone, but I have received no response at all. The phone line is not being answered, and my refund request remains unresolved.

This level of customer service is unacceptable. I am still waiting for a proper response regarding my refund and any applicable compensation.

I hope Nile Air addresses this situation promptly, as ignoring customers is not acceptable.

Missed connection, extra costs, and no response

I had a very disappointing experience with Nile Air.

Our booking included a connection from Sharjah to Milan via Cairo. The first flight was scheduled to depart at 08:35 but actually left around 18:00. Because of this major delay, we missed our connecting flight to Milan.

As a result, we had to purchase new tickets at our own expense and also pay for accommodation, transport, and visa arrangements for our entire family, including a baby.

On top of that, we had paid extra (150 AED) for preferred seats on the first leg. At check-in, we were told those seats were actually business class and could not be assigned to us, so we were moved to standard seats. This made the journey with an infant very uncomfortable.

I have contacted Nile Air multiple times requesting a refund for the unused flight segment and the seat fees, but I have not received any response.

Very poor customer service and no accountability. I would not recommend this airline based on this experience.

One two positive points: meal was offered during flight, and the cabin and check in luggage was jncluded in the tariff.

Discrimination and Gross Mismanagement Regarding Pet Transportation

am writing this to formally complain about the unprofessional treatment and systemic failure I experienced with your airline on February 16th.
The Situation:
Before booking my ticket, I contacted Nile Air to confirm if I could travel with my pet. I was told it was permitted, provided I called 48 hours before the flight to confirm, as the aircraft type might change. I prepared all the required vaccinations and legal documents accordingly.
Call Center Negligence:
Exactly 48 hours before the flight, I started calling at 10:00 AM. I received no response until late afternoon. When an agent finally answered, he wasted significant time repeating instructions I already knew. While he kept me on "hold" to add the pet to my ticket, he suddenly claimed that—at that exact second—another passenger had booked the only available pet slot.
The "Upgrade" Scam:
The agent then told me the only solution was to upgrade to Business Class (triple the price of Economy) to take my pet. I went to your office, where the employee there mocked the situation, speaking loudly to the call center agent in front of me, condescendingly stating that the upgrade cost "was a huge amount" as if to dismiss my ability to pay or my right to a solution.
Discrimination at the Airport:
On the day of the flight, I was shocked to find a non-Egyptian passenger boarding with two pets. When I confronted the airport supervisor, he insisted that "only one pet is allowed by law" and assured me they wouldn't both board. However, the laws were conveniently broken for them. They were allowed to board with two pets, while I was denied my single pet slot despite:
1. Having a confirmed Economy ticket where a pet slot was actually available.
2. Having all my pet’s documentation perfectly ready.
3. Following every single rule Nile Air provided.
Conclusion:
It is clear that "laws" and "quotas" are only enforced against Egyptian citizens, while foreign nationals receive preferential treatment and exceptions. The call center’s delay and the office staff’s unprofessionalism led to me being forced to leave my pet behind.
I am documenting this experience to warn others. This is not just a service failure; it is a display of bias and a complete lack of integrity. I have photographic evidence of everything mentioned and will be taking further action.

Unacceptable

Unacceptable. A 3.5-hour delay with no explanation, no updates, and absolutely no concern for passengers. Staff were indifferent and dismissive, as if the delay was none of their problem. Complete lack of professionalism and accountability. This was a frustrating and exhausting experience.

My experience with Nile Air was a…

My experience with Nile Air was a complete nightmare, culminating in what I believe was baggage tampering. Upon arrival, my suitcase was delivered with a long, deliberate cut along its seam, not simple wear and tear. Nile Air's response was the final blow: they callously rejected my claim, labeling this serious damage as a "minor" issue with a "zipper." This demonstrated a total disregard for passenger property and accountability. I do not recommend Nile Air to anyone. If you care about your belongings and being treated with respect, stay far away from this airline.

Just like that

Just like that, 2 weeks before the scheduled flight, I received an email saying that the flight got cancelled and I should expect a refund in about 20 business days, and they're saying that there won't be guarantees for a full refund.
Seriously, pay the extra 20 bucks and save yourself the hassle.

I flew with Nile Air on flight NP191…They have no concern for safety at all.

I flew with Nile Air on flight NP191 from Cairo to Istanbul and was extremely disappointed by the airline’s lack of professionalism and concern for safety.

Things started badly at the check-in counter, where I was incorrectly told that I needed a visa to enter Turkey as a UK passport holder. Despite having done my research and knowing that UK citizens can enter Turkey without a visa for short stays, staff insisted otherwise and told me I would need to “buy one on arrival.” This was completely untrue and caused unnecessary stress.

The flight itself raised serious safety concerns. I was seated by the wing and heard strange, loud noises from the engines throughout the flight. Both takeoff and landing were the roughest I’ve ever experienced—and I’m a frequent flyer. It felt highly unstable.

The cabin crew on NP191 looked visibly exhausted and were unfriendly throughout the flight. One simply tossed a warm bottle of water at me without saying a word. More worryingly, there was no safety demonstration whatsoever—no video, no live demonstration—nothing. That is a basic requirement on any commercial flight and it was completely ignored.

Even more concerning: a passenger seated nearby, who was visibly obese, requested a seat belt extender at the start of the flight. Despite multiple reminders, no crew member brought one during the entire journey. This kind of negligence is unacceptable and dangerous.

The return flight the next day (NP192) was slightly better in terms of crew friendliness, but the food was overcooked to the point of being nearly burnt. The takeoff was so rough that several passengers around me began praying aloud.

Overall, this was a deeply unsettling travel experience. Nile Air’s lack of attention to both passenger service and safety protocols is alarming. I will not be flying with this airline again and do not recommend it to others.

The Worst Airline I’ve Ever Flown

The Worst Airline I’ve Ever Flown – Stay Away!

Flying with Nile Air was a complete nightmare.

The staff is extremely rude, disrespectful, and totally unprofessional. They treat passengers like a burden, not customers. Even the security people working with them behave with zero manners.

When it comes to baggage, it’s a joke. Some passengers with extra weight are allowed to pass, while others are forced to pay. It’s unfair, inconsistent, and handled with a disgusting attitude.

The seats on the plane are uncomfortable, old, and cramped. You feel like you’re flying in a bus from the 90s. Nothing about the flight was pleasant.

Honestly, I’ve never seen such poor service and trashy treatment in any airline before.

I do not recommend Nile Air to anyone. If you care about being treated with respect and having a decent experience, stay far away from this airline.

Worst airline I have ever seen

Worst airline I have ever seen. The flight which I took from Cairo to Luxor was extremely dirty, seats were broken and dirty. I checked in 2 bags (1 suitcase and 1 duffle bag) and locked both. For the duffle bag I used the zip to lock it with TSA lock. They broke the chain to detach the TSA lock and open the bag. It’s clearly visible that they used tool to break the chain. They put the lock in one zipper. I realised it after I came back home. DO NOT KEEP ANYTHING VALUABLE IN YOUR CHECKED IN LUGGAGE when you are travelling with Nile Air. Moreover avoid travelling with this airline.
