Misleading solicitation using Architectural Digest’s name
Received an unsolicited email from someone at nettyawards.com claiming that Gessato was being “featured” in an upcoming Architectural Digest series. After checking directly with AD, it turned out to be a paid placement pitch unrelated to the magazine’s editorial team.
This kind of outreach trades on respected media brands to sell advertorial spots, which is misleading and unprofessional. Companies should be upfront about who they are and what they’re selling instead of pretending to offer editorial coverage.
