Thank you to Arjun Dahal, Mr Ram and Mr Hom for an excellent 14 days of hiking on the Annapurna circuit.

Arjun was particularly good at ensuring that we were all well acclimatised for high altitudes and paid particular attention to ensuring that we were in good health (including nightly blood oxygen checks) which was reassuring for the 5400m pass. Arjun ensured that I was well catered for with dietary requirements and made an effort to ensure that there were different route options.

Mr Ram and Mr Hom always brought positivity to the trip and were kind in supporting alternative routes too.

Nepal Hiking team were accommodating with flexibility in plans which ensured we overall had a great experience.

I’m a very slow walker so was a bit worried about how I would go, but thanks to our wonderful guide, Arjun Dahal, and porters/crew, Ram and Hom, I had an incredible experience.

Arjun always made sure I was looked after - walking with me at the back, offering me food and water, and encouraging me when I thought I couldn’t continue. When I was getting slow Arjun also designed personalised alternative routes to ensure I always finished with the group. His jokes, professionalism and encouragement allowed me to finish the Annapurna Circuit!

While in the mountains, Arjun’s knowledge of nature, history, language, and religion taught me so much about Nepalese culture. Even after the hike ended, Arjun designed a multi-day itinerary for me to explore post-hike!

The Annapurna Circuit was difficult but it was made so much easier with the consistent positive energy from the Nepal Hiking Team crew 😊

We had a very good trekking experience with Nepal Hiking Team. The trip offered amazing experiences but also came with some challenges due to unfortunate weather conditions and the political situation in Nepal at the time. Throughout it all, the service and support from the company were professional and reliable.

Despite the obstacles we encountered during the trek, everything was handled well, and we felt safe and well taken care of. The team showed flexibility and a genuine concern for our well-being, which made a big difference to the overall experience.

A special mention and sincere thanks go to our guide Asha. He was highly professional, calm, and attentive at all times. Asha was excellent at adjusting the pace, looking after everyone in the group, and sharing his knowledge about the region and local culture. His positive attitude and reassuring presence were especially valuable on the more demanding days of the trek.

We completed the Classic Annapurna Circuit with the Nepal Hiking Team, led by our guide Sam Tamang, and couldn’t recommend them more highly.

From the very first contact, Sam impressed us with his professionalism and care. He reached out before the trek to check our gear and offered valuable advice based on the weather — which proved absolutely right.

Throughout the journey, Sam was calm, organised, and quietly confident. He managed all logistics — meals, tea houses, and timing — with precision, while giving us the freedom to explore and enjoy the trek at our own pace.

Sam is clearly respected among other guides, who often sought his advice. He demonstrated deep knowledge of Nepal’s culture, history, and geography, always answering our questions with insight and patience.

We always felt safe and supported, even in challenging conditions. Sam noticed our love for nature and waterfalls and somehow always found tea houses in the most peaceful, beautiful settings.

We trekked with Sam and one porter, who was young, hardworking, and full of enthusiasm. Sam guided him patiently, keeping everything running smoothly and holding the group together with calm leadership.

In November, we completed the Manaslu Circuit Trek with Nepal Hiking Team. Everything from start to finish went smoothly. We had great communications from the company throughout.

As for the trek, it’s easily one of the best experiences we’ve had. Such a beautiful region with phenomenal views. It’s also much less crowded than the other popular treks you can do in Nepal. It felt a lot more spiritual too, with some first hand insights into Tibetan culture.

Our guide Milan Aryal, was super fun and friendly. He helped up with any issues we had and along the way provided us with lots of interesting information about the area, its flora and fauna and anything in between.

Overall, this was an enriching experience that I would recommend to anyone who is visiting Nepal.

Absolutely fantastic experience on Manaslu Circuit and Tsum Valley Trek with Nepal Hiking team. If you are considering a trek to Nepal use Nepal Hiking team. Ganga is very easy to deal with and questions are answered in timely manner. Our guide Dilman and the young porter we called Leo were outstanding.

We had wanted to visit Upper Mustang for some time and chose Nepal Hiking Team based on the firm’s positive reviews. The company did not disappoint, with every aspect of the trek being well organised and thought through. Our guide, Yubar, proved to be the ideal leader for the trek; he knows Upper Mustang intimately and was able to provide us with information about the area and the many villages and monasteries we visited. Our porter, Suman, did a great job too, carrying our baggage and always willing to help in any other way.

Unfortunately one of us caught a virus early in the trek, which reduced the amount of walking that we were able to do. Yubar arranged jeeps to carry us on some stages and booked alternative accommodation as our itinerary changed. As a result, we missed none of the highlights of the trek and came home with some brilliant memories.

We would recommend Nepal Hiking Team without hesitation and would like to thank Yubar, Suman and everyone at the company for an unforgettable experience.

Our group was lead by guide Prajwal Karki. Prajwal is a natural leader - patient, friendly, considerate and with a great sense of humor. Prajwal is also a talented musician and brought his flute to play in the brakes. I was the least fit one in our group, but Prajwal stayed behind me when we walked up, up, up saying "steady and slow" again and again - that made a huge difference. When we reached 3600 meters he saw I was affected by the altitude and the cold and ordered me extra hot water at the tea house. Our group was great and we wanted to hang out with Prajwal and the porters in the afternoon. The politely stayed apart from us, but joined us for dining and a dice game when we invited which was really nice.

Our porters where two hugely strong guys - Sandesh Subedi and Rupesh Bandi. Both so polite, considerate and friendly. If I put on my small backpack on the way to the view point, they would offer to carry it. If I was on my way to the trash can with some rubbish I picked up on the trail, the would take it for me without words.

The Mardi Himal trek is a great trek, but these three guys made this tour unforgettable and I will keep them in my heart forever.

My wife and I just completed the Annapurna Circuit Trek (ACT) with Nepal Hiking Team, and we couldn't be happier with the experience.

Before choosing an agency, we did extensive research—reaching out only to companies with the highest number of excellent reviews. We contacted all of them with our planned itinerary. Among them, Ganga, the owner of Nepal Hiking Team, stood out immediately. He was incredibly responsive, patiently answered every question, offered thoughtful suggestions, and helped us fine-tune our trek down to the smallest details. We successfully completed the Everest Base Camp (EBC) trekking (12-day) with Nepal Hiking Team (NHT) from 7th April 2025 to 22nd April 2025. Two days on either side were for preparation and rest - contingency planning if required.

Firstly, we wholeheartedly convey our thanks to the owner, Ganga Thapa (Ganga Ji) and our guide, Arjun Dahal. We cannot forget our two porters (Aash Kumar Rai and Janam Rai) - who lifted heavy duffel bags from location to location, making our lives easier.

The NHT made our experience easy by lifting any burden from us, as well as answering any questions we had promptly. We were impressed by the efficient communication and organisation shown by the entire NHT. This was the cornerstone for our successful completion of the EBC.

Our health was very important to Arjun, who completed his health checks on us to ensure we were not suffering from a lack of oxygen.

Arjun is very experienced and would have confidence in recommending his to anyone thinking about trekking the EBC route. The porters, are the silent, work-horses who do all the hard work so that we can have an easier life. We really appreciated all their efforts.

We were also provided with a down-jacket, -20 degrees celsius sleeping bag and duffel bag (gifted at the end of the trek).

Things did not always go to plan. However, what was important was how well things were handled by the NHT (Ganga Ji, Arjun, Aash and Janam).

We have no hesitation in recommending the NHT to anyone wishing to complete the EBC trekking.

As newbies to Nepal, we wanted to book with a reputable company to provide that initial security. Just because of the unknown of a new land. What we got was simply the best possible service and we quickly felt extremely comfortable in this amazing country. The Nepal Hiking Team were professional, courteous and looked to enhance your experiences at every opportunity. Customer satisfaction is extremely important for them and they demonstrated constant care throughout the 3 weeks we had with them. The 3 weeks covered trekking to ABC, a few days in Pokhara, on to Chitwan for a breath-taking jungle tour with an overnight in the tower in the jungle before ending the trip back in the bustling capital of Kathmandu. Every step of the way, they were on time, provided additional options when requested and made our stay in Nepal better than our expectations. Great rooms (even on the ABC trek), clear agenda and easy customisation of our trip. Many many thanks to Ganga and the whole team - porters, guides, drivers, hotel staff, kitchen staff and all.
