Never fails to foil the little darlings. I always find them in the long term potted plants. It is such an easy solution to what could be an expensive problem. Would recommend every time.

As part of our garden maintenance…
As part of our garden maintenance service we have found nematodes to be a useful, natural approach that fits well into a environmentally conscious lawn maintenance programme. They do require the right application conditions and some follow-up care, but in our experience, the results have been very good.
After two seasons of use, we’re very happy to recommend nematode treatments as part of an effective approach to managing chafer bugs and leather jackets.

Differing application methods
I was very satisfied (5 stars) with the delivery time of the product.
What I am less satisfied with is the conflicting instructions that accompany the product on the outside and inside of the packaging. The outside of the packaging immediately indicates that a 5 litre ‘stock solution’ should be made using the whole contents of the package. Whereas the inner instruction indicates that half of the ‘contents’ are added to a 0.5 litre feeder container and then filled with water before being applied to the area for 8 minutes. Is this 8 minutes to a 50m2 area? It would be better to have both options clearly detailed. The product is not necessarily cheap and I am now unsure if I have used it properly. In my case I made up the 5 litre solution then used my ‘Miracle-Grow Feeder’ for 8 minutes on each 10m2 area in 500ml amounts until all the stock solution was used up. On each occasion, after the 8 minutes application, I emptied the remaining solution (the contents having been displaced by the water sidestream flow of the Miracle-Grow Feeder) into a watering can and then went over the treated area again. Hopefully this will have the required effect and used the nematodes appropriately. After receiving an email from the supplier of the product I reviewed providing an explanation I am happy to revise my rating to 5 stars.

Thank you for your detailed feedback.
We completely understand how the differing instructions could cause confusion.
The instructions vary depending on whether the nematodes are applied with a watering can or a hose-end feeder, and it sounds as though the two methods may have been combined.
Thankfully, the nematodes will still have worked effectively. The process will simply have taken considerably longer and used more water than necessary.
As the instructions supplied with the pack are outside our control, we have produced our own more detailed guidance which is available to download via the product page(s), which clearly explains both application methods. We’ll email this to you separately.
If you have any questions before applying nematodes in future, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We’ll be very happy to help ensure everything goes smoothly.
Given that you were very satisfied with our delivery and the product was still applied effectively, we would be extremely grateful if you would consider increasing your rating to five stars :-)

Ants Nests
I purchased the product to get rid of ants nests in my lawn. I was sceptical at the outset but it has proved to work. I gave it four stars rather then five because it is a bit of a faff to use with all the exact measuring out that has to be done,

Delivery was good
Delivery was good. I don’t know how well they have worked yet. I am a woman of age so found it hard going on my back having to water them in. Would be good if it could be scattered rather than watered.
I understand that may not be possible. Don’t think I’ll use them again to much hard work for me.

Dear Margaret,
Thank you for your review. We’re pleased to hear your order arrived promptly.
We’re sorry to hear you found the application difficult. However, we do feel it’s a little unfair to mark the product down for this, as the application method and watering requirements are available on our website before purchase.
The nematodes are living organisms and need to be applied in water so they can move through the soil to find the pests they control, so unfortunately they cannot simply be scattered onto the surface.
We do appreciate that watering in can be physically demanding, and understand that this may not be suitable for everyone. We hope the treatment proves effective for you and would be grateful if you would consider revising your three-star review, as the application method is an inherent part of how the product works and is outlined before purchase.
Kind regards
Samantha
