Most of the Zing experiences were really GOOD. Only exception was the virtual and in person home health check ups. Redundant calls, poor communication within Zing and with it's supporting services.... See more

Zing Health was founded in 2019 by two African American physician entrepreneurs, Eric E. Whitaker, MD, MPH, and Kenneth Alleyne, MD, along with co-founders Health2047 and healthcare executive Garfield Collins, to address inadequacies in the healthcare system by creating collaborative, community-based Medicare Advantage plans.
By extending 21st century health service solutions built around community, Zing Health seeks to drastically improve health outcomes in diverse populations that have been chronically underserved. Given that 80 percent of clinical outcomes are attributable to social determinants of health, Zing Health’s unique approach acknowledges the importance of understanding a patient’s circumstances outside of a clinical setting and offers a strategic, tech-enabled model that can scale to match the size of the problem.
In 2020, Zing Health served Medicare beneficiaries in Cook County, Illinois. Today, Zing serves an expanded service area encompassing counties in Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana. In 2024, Zing Health will begin offering new plan types as well as enhancements to existing plans.
Our Mission
Zing Health has a singular mission: Providing managed care Medicare Advantage plans that address social determinants of health to reduce healthcare disparities among historically underserved populations. Zing’s plans integrate Medicare Parts A and B benefits with Part D prescription drug coverage, along with providing robust extra benefits.

Garbage insurance, garbage company
Friend received a letter dated 5/30/26 that his Medicare Advantage plan was being cancelled THE NEXT DAY. Letter incorrectly stated no Medicare Part A or B coverage existed. Two calls later and they still didn't correct the problem. Filing a complaint with Illinois Department of Insurance.
Update: Zing read this review and responded immediately yet friend has heard zero from the people to whom he's already spoken (who said they would get back w/i a day). Shows their priorities---reputation over service.
Second update: several days later and still no word from Zing (despite their response below and providing them with additional info). Meanwhile, friend has no medical coverage.
Final update: more days have passed and no word from Zing. Lack of resolution taken seriously, huh? Friend still remains w/o medical coverage.

I'm severely depressed and need a psychologist / counselor / someone to talk to. Been trying to find someone since May. I've been given names to call - only to find they don't accept Zing HMO - I call back only to be offered the same erroneous information. Several calls and escalations.
Case# 02173812 - Rep Mark D tried his best to contact someone he could verify but was not successful.
I neglected to case previous case # but had same problem when I needed to see an orthopedic doctor specializing in the Spine - you don't have any closer than 40 miles. Frustrating and depressing to need help and little hope of getting it.

There is no way on this earth that I would recommend this carrier (ZING) to anyone let alone a senior that is on an advantage plan. The level of assistance and trying to reach someone that comprehends a problem is non existent. The web site is ridiculous, with barely the tools to find what you are looking for. There is NO tech support. Before you go into business you should have a good action plan and this company failed in that regard. Claims are denied with no clear rationale/explanation. Yeah try to get someone that can help you in timbucktooo. How about someone in Leadership having this insurance and see where it gets them. I feel sorry for the senior that is not tech savvy, they will get lost and give up. I am at my Witts end. I am in Michigan.
Still waiting for that resolution.
At open enrollment will

In regards to being very affordable and customer wellbeing is great! However, ur customer service sucks when it comes to ur customer service representatives who really lacks training and most of them speak English, however very hard to understand due to their heavy accent! U really need to hire American born who can speak and comprehend English very well!
