MyGuava sponsor my football team so i decided to open a account and get a personalised card great idea i thought.
I tried to load up the card in post office and local shop via paypoint and it will not allow it saying error and collect + ? when they try to scan the barcode from my phone. So i loaded the card from my bank account and it took 12 hours to land im my account from the faster payment service, customer service couldn't help before it landed in my account when i was sleeping.
Now its saying my card its a Euro card its not a Euro card its a UK card i have called customer service who said unlink the card from the app yes i done that even though it wasn't linked in the first place and its still not working and charges me a transaction fee for using a ATM in my own country.
Customer service are terrible and haven't helped or got back to me with a outcome i will not be using my card or MyGuave again.
Update Girlfriends card is acting the same as mine so its a MyGuave problem not the Bank, Paypoint or ATM problem as customer service likes to tell you.

CANADA be aware they are scammers
Its been almost 2 months they blocked my 490 pounds, and then revoke my access. Please Canada don’t trust them , they are scamming people i am victim of them.
Also, they use AI based or automated response and when call customer service they are investigating … what the hell is this you can’t investigate 490 pounds isn’t funny!!!
When i go to Toronto office no one exist there also phone numbers provided are not working 😂
You can win over them as they will use term investigate and make you run after and even no use as very bad customer support

After I made a transfer to my friend on Friday, they declined the transfer and just after blocked my account for no reason, I contacted customer service and they ask to be patient and they take so long to unblock my account, they ask for my friend ID and a conversation between me and my friend, it's a shame because it's a personal matter and they block my account for no valid reason.
It's so unfair and unprofessional from the MYGUAVA team. I definitely don't recommend this app. Seems like scammer.

I initiated an Interac transfer, yet the company continues to cite ‘security review’ without providing clear answers to my inquiries. This raises serious concerns about their transparency and business practices. Holding customers’ funds without proper justification is unacceptable. I will be reporting this matter to my local MP and the OBSI, as I believe such operations should be scrutinized to ensure compliance with Canadian regulations.

Scammers and worst customer support of all time
Reviews are correct. This company is scammer. They processed my initial transaction of low amount and then blocked when I tried doing higher amount transaction. After sending all documents, compliance team is not responding. It's 6th day of sending all documents to them but its still not processed.
Everytime they said our team is working but they don't have rights to block account as they take ID while opening account. I have requested to raise complaint but none of customer service agents know anything.
I am also raising complaint with FOS to get my money back. Don't deal with this company at all. Wise, Remitbee and other reputed companies are good with their work.

Closed my account to avoid paying a £10 promotion
They send an email promoting their international money transfer service. Something I would use. I then proceed to make two transfer to my wife. Combined no more than $200. They offer a $10 refund on completion of the first transfer. I then get an email demanding to know why I’m sending, to who. I respond the same day explaining it’s my wife etc. I go on the app to check. To find my account no longer exists. A week later they finally reply with no explanation just demanding copy’s of my wife id and of our marriage certificate. I’m not sharing more personal information when they have closed my account already. A joke of an app. Seems like a strange way of getting out of paying a £10 refund. Lost a customer that would have used their service a lot.
I’m now at the 27th. So 20 days after leaving this feedback and have replied to all messages and provided all required information. I’ve has no confirmation that I can send on the account and have not received the £10 bonus. What I have done is just wasted hours of my time messaging. Apparently ever time you message it’s a new person. Non of which are capable of reading the previous chat. It’s exhausting dealing with these people. 20 days later zero progress
