Very hidden policy makes app feel like a gamble

I bought a koala bracelet last year to track an animal. When the tracker stopped sending signals, I was told by customer service that my only option was to buy a new one. What really bothers me, though, is that at no point during the purchase process does it tell you the tracking is only guaranteed for 6 months. I went through the app checkout and even checked the purchase-specific FAQ and there is no mention of this policy at all. Because they know it would put people off purchasing.

To find this policy, you have to go: Settings → About → external website → scroll down → find the FAQ → click the right question. Under UK consumer law, key information that affects a purchase decision must be clear and prominent before you buy – not buried three menus deep. That feels extremely misleading, especially when you don't even get to choose which of the specific animal you track – so your experience is down to luck.

I won't be buying again, and I'd recommend others think twice before purchasing.

Lost trackers

I enjoy the app, however the animals have issues with their tracker. It used to be that if you lost the animal, they would just give you a new one. But now they want you to buy another one. I think that’s a little unfair. Or at the least allow us to pay a few dollars to transfer it. I don’t want to buy another bracelet to see another animal that will also lose the tracker.

Because our animals are tracked using real wildlife research data, trackers can eventually stop transmitting due to battery life, environmental conditions, or the device naturally detaching from the animal. To ensure we can continue supporting conservation efforts and growing our impact alongside our research partners, we guarantee tracking for at least six months. If a tracker stops transmitting within that timeframe, we’re happy to provide a replacement animal.

Absolute genuine and awesome

I am a huge animal lover and these bracelets are perfect! I love the colour options and the ability to get daily updates on a real life animal. This is the perfect gift for an animal lover.

Great app and fun too use

Amazing app, I thought maybe it would be a scam but it's not even close! I get updates always, and it has a background on the animal, I got the snow leopard and personally love it and the name was cute her name is Shan and it even gave pictures of her kittens or whatever you call them and it tracks the animal like it says and you can track more than one animal!
