⚠️ Creators beware: Musicbed’s music is good, but their business practices are some of the worst I’ve seen.
Hidden price hikes: Their site says $329/yr, but they don't tell you that after your first year, it's $385/yr. The renewal email only mentioned an “increased rate” for vague features – no clear number until your card is charged. In their contract (Section 6.b.ii), they give themselves the right to raise prices “at any time…in our sole discretion.”
Content held hostage: If you cancel, you can lose the rights to monetize videos you published while subscribed (Sections 5.m and 7). This means you may be forced to keep paying just to protect past work.
No refunds, ever: Their terms (Section 6.b.v) literally state: “ALL PAYMENTS ARE NONREFUNDABLE.” Cancel right after renewal? Too bad, you’re locked for 12 months.
Automatic renewal trap: Unless you cancel in the exact 30-day window before renewal (Section 6.a.ii), they automatically bill you for another year. Miss it by a day, you’re stuck.
Combine this with prices already 2–3× higher than Epidemic or Artlist, and you’ve got a platform that locks you in, hides true costs, and strips away flexibility.
For a company that claims to be creator-friendly, their business practices are manipulative and exploitative.

Allyson, a very friendly and professional Musicbed client specialist, helped me to investigate and solve an issue where a scammer tried to use Musicbed's company name, to lure me in and tried to extort money from me. As a independent artist, I was targeted by a fraudulent pursuer who wanted to take advantage of my passion to get my music in film/TV. However, thanks to Allyson and Musicbed, I was able to put a stop to that criminal activity.

I would rate musicbed and their support with 5/5 or 10/10 whatever you want to call or rate it. They responded to my email promptly in which prevented me from being a victim of a scam. Sometimes companies don’t respond in time with scam complaints from artists like myself and it causes wasted time and damage. Thank you for being a trusted place for us.

As many on here have experienced, I began 14-day free trial on Musicbed. Before the end of the trial period, I cancelled my membership, however I did not receive email confirmation. I was since charged for the first months payment and locked into a 12 month contract. As a UK citizen, I am entitled to a 14-day cooling off period, whereby I can cancel my subscription and receive a full refund within 14 days after the payment begins (this is a legal right, even if Musicbed are not a UK based company, because they are available to UK citizens and their marketing is visible in the UK). After many emails back and forth on the matter with Musicbed's customer service team, they continued to refuse my legal right and started to ignore my emails all together. Incredibly disappointing from a company that seems to be well regarded in the creator space.

While their music options are phenomenal, their customer service is incredibly inconsistent and very disappointing. Upon reading prior reviews, MusicBed indicated "In the case of an unexpected or unwanted renewal, we are quite flexible when there has been minimal use of the subscription". Despite contacting them in less than 24h from being charged a yearly subscription (I've been subscribed for years on a yearly subscription at this point), with zero usage on the account, I was continuously told it simply wasn't possible to be refunded. Upon bringing up the above quote, only then did they offer to refund only a portion of the cost. Again, despite zero usage of the subscription.
While I understand the responsibility is mine, I think it's wholly disingenuous to claim being "quite flexible" in cases of an unwanted subscriptions (this case) with minimal or no use. And when there isn't a reasoning of "but there was use of the account," they instead opt to simply be fairly inflexible. Additionally, it's also disingenuous to prevent further auto renewals online until the last month, despite already receiving full payment for a year-long subscription ahead of time. This is a music-based subscription in 2025, not a health insurance plan. I can't imagine it's difficult to easily allow customers to prevent this from happening on days 1-365 of their subscription as opposed to only on days 335-365.
I simply wanted a full refund for an entirely unused product charged less than 24 hours prior and that was denied despite their ability to be "quite flexible".

Musicbed is not for everyone given the cost compared to other services. However, their music library is excellent and my experience with customer support has been great. They respond to questions promptly and courteously, including recently when I had a question about renewal. Recommended.

Sad that I have to come here for help.
I had tried the free trial recently and cancelled it in time. “ I literally remember receiving the text “your membership will end on this or that date”, something like that.
However there was some sort of error or issue - the subscription still activated even though i had cancelled my trial and therefore I was charged.
I immediately let Musicbed support know, explained the situation in detail, have not touched the platform, had not used songs, downloaded them or anything, yet they avoid paying back the money I was charged and are avoiding that topic entirely.
The last message I got from support was the guy telling me he had finally cancelled my subscription and ended the conversation there, marking the issue solved, and i got the “rate your experience” message afterwards.
I really looked up to Musicbed as a good and premium platform but this is scummy.
