True customer service is shown when the wheels fall off a matter (no pun intended) My car proved rather troublesome when, following a service, the computer could not be reset. Granted, it has taken some time and a couple of fruitless attempts but the team at Manchester did eventually manage it. Special mentions need to be given to Jackie and Emma who simply would not give up until the job was completed successfully. A* customer service.

Be very careful when paying in full for your vehicle as i purchased a vauxhall astra k on the 02/03/26 only to find out by a mechanic 30+ days later that the said vehicle had been in a accident and the people at Manchester branch wouldn't even entertain me and kept passing me from pillow to post only to keep putting the fone down on me,i could live with the car and they wouldnt even tidy the paint work up as abit of compensation, avoid if possible

On 22 June 2026, I paid a £99 deposit online to reserve a vehicle I was interested in purchasing.
Following this, I made numerous attempts to arrange a viewing of the vehicle and obtain updates on its availability. However, I was repeatedly advised that the vehicle was not yet ready. I was also promised several callbacks when I rang for updates, but unfortunately these never materialised. After more than a week of receiving no meaningful progress or communication, I decided to purchase a vehicle from another dealership, where I was able to view, purchase and drive the vehicle home within just three days. I requested a refund of the £99 reservation deposit during a phone call on 2 July 2026 & was advised this would be processed the same day. Your website clearly states that this reservation deposit is fully refundable, so I am disappointed that, despite my request being made almost 2 weeks ago, the refund has still not been processed. I have called & emailed with no response & I am now claiming a charge back with my bank. I would not recommend anyone to purchase from Motor Range

First time purchasing a car from Motor Range Manchester, the website is fairly easy to navigate, contact with the sales team is straight forward and they are happy to help! As I was coming from a few hours away I wanted to make sure the car was as expected before making the trip, I got a very detailed video of the car from Ryan, who pointed out any minor issues which would be sorted prior to collection. Everything was agreed and a collection date set, that day came and everything went smoothly and the car was in good condition...or so I thought.
A week later I started noticing slight oil spills on my drive and work car park, some more significant than others. After taking it to a garage to look at, they found the under tray full of silver oil which was deemed to be coming from the Gearbox. I then took it to a specialist who did not have great news, the differential inside the gearbox was grinding causing loose shards of metal to contaminate the oil. In terms of it leaking, the pressure from the differential was pushing against the gearbox causing it to crack.
These inherent faults were serious enough the car shouldn't have been driven, let alone a 2 hour drive home and then for a few days after!! The car was apparently inspected prior to collection as well as fluid changes so how this wasn't spotted makes me wonder how much they actually care or pay attention.
Thankfully the Consumer Rights Act 2015 has you covered so I exercised my right to reject the car. The review would have been 1 star was it not for the fact they didn't drag their feet in upholding my right to reject the car, they arranged the collection, inspected the vehicle and paid me a full refund the next working day.
These faults would not have been picked up should I have not noticed the leak so please buy with caution and I would advise having your own mechanic inspect the vehicle if possible. I have included the car details in the title should it re-appear on their site so be wary and do your checks!

As Motor Range have chosen to respond to my review but have not enabled the option for me to reply directly to their response, I am posting this update so that readers can see the full picture and make their own judgement.
Motor Range state that they responded to all requests for information and did not withhold correspondence. This is simply not true.
I made a formal request for all information held relating to myself and my father, including call recordings, call records and internal communications relating to both the sale of the vehicle and the handling of the complaint. Companies are LEGALLY required to provide this information within 28 days.
Motor Range did not do this.
Instead, my requests were ignored for over two and a half months despite repeated chasing. I hold email evidence of repeated requests and follow-up correspondence during this period.
When Black Horse became involved in their investigation, I was advised that they also required information and records from Motor Range. Despite this, information was still not being properly provided and Black Horse advised that they were experiencing difficulties obtaining the information they required from Motor Range.
Motor Range then attempted to argue that they could not provide the information because it related to my father, despite the fact they had already been provided with authority from him both in person and by email and had previously dealt with me directly regarding the complaint on his behalf. I hold email evidence of this.
Even then, Motor Range continued to be obstructive and still failed to provide the information requested.
To this day, information requested in January still has not been fully provided.
Motor Range initially stated that calls were recorded. They later advised that calls were not recorded. They then changed position again and stated that calls were recorded, but that no recordings relating to either my father’s number or my own could be located. I hold email evidence of this.
When I asked whether subsequent calls had also not been recorded, including calls where I had been told recordings did not exist, those questions were ignored and never properly answered.
Motor Range also refused to provide internal communications relating to the sale of the vehicle and the handling of the complaint, despite being LEGALLY obliged to provide information held about individuals following a formal request. They claimed third-party information was involved. Third-party information can be redacted and the remaining information disclosed. It does not justify withholding the information altogether. Despite repeated requests, those communications still have not been provided. To this day, information requested in January remains outstanding.
This matter has been reported to the Information Commissioner’s Office and remains under investigation.
Motor Range describe the warranty issue as a “misunderstanding”.
My father purchased the vehicle after being repeatedly advised both over the telephone and in person that it had full service history.
Following a major turbo failure within six months of purchase on a vehicle that was approximately five years old with around 14,000 miles on the clock, Kia confirmed there was no service history recorded against the vehicle and advised that such a failure would be highly unusual on a vehicle of that age and mileage.
After repeated chasing and Motor Range stating they were waiting for confirmation on what service history it had they eventually confirmed that the vehicle had no service history. I hold email evidence of this.
Motor Range also state that Black Horse found no evidence of misrepresentation.
What they do not mention is that, after more than three months of dispute and after Motor Range had been made aware that a Small Claim had already been issued, Motor Range accepted rejection of the vehicle.
What they also neglect to mention is that at a meeting where they were informed of the small claim (3 months into the dispute) that is was suggest that if my father accepted repair an dropped all claims and investigations they might be able to provide a courtesy car and maybe look at finding another car instead of the one he had purchased. This was never offered when the vehicle failed and only discussed much later after the dispute was ongoing and we had started a small claim
Black Horse subsequently refunded the finance agreement, compensation was paid in relation to the matter and the vehicle was returned.
Copies of the Claim Form, Particulars of Claim and Notice of Judgment have also now been provided directly to them.
My review is based on the documentation, correspondence and evidence that I hold. Relevant documentation remains available should it ever be required.

After a complete nightmare with a previous dodgy dealer who sold me a dangerous car, dealing with Motor Range was a total breath of fresh air.
Right from the very start, Ryan went above and beyond by sending me a brilliant, highly detailed video of the Nissan Juke so I knew exactly what I was looking at. His communication and help all the way through the process until the day I collected the car was top-tier.
Motor Range clearly don't cut corners either. During their Pre-Delivery Inspection, they made sure the car was completely refreshed and safe, putting four brand new tyres, new rear brake discs, and pads on it, along with a fresh service and MOT before handing over the keys.
Ryan was fantastic during the pick-up process too, even sorting out a tricky situation swapping the car over from the previous owner's disability tax class onto a monthly Direct Debit to ensure I was completely legal and ready to go.
The car drives absolutely perfectly. It is so reassuring to find a reputable dealer that actually cares about safety, quality, and brilliant customer service. Highly recommend!

Well what can I say , SUPERB that's what ! I live in Cornwall and have been searching for a BMW M235i , I found one on the Motor Range website but this was in Manchester an awful long way from me , I enquired about it and requested a video ,Leighton (sales manager) rang me straight away and was extremely helpful and informative, a great video was sent by Furcon,I decided to go ahead with the purchase and decided to fly to Manchester ,I informed the dealership about this and spoke to Aaron who was great and kindly arranged that I would be picked up at the airport, I was met on arrival as promised by Adam the Salesman who would be looking after me, This whole experience for step 1 to finish was an absolute joy , I will also say when at the dealership everybody that had been dealing with me came and introduced themselves and made me feel so welcome, I was so surprised being such a big site how personal and friendly the service was, very refreshing indeed ! Adam , Leighton , Aaron and Furcon you are a credit to the business 🙌 . Oh yeah , nearly forgot , the car was Awsome too 😁
