Misleading checkout, hidden membership fee, and ignored support
This was my first and last purchase with MorningSave.
During checkout, I was misled into a $5.99/month membership. The site made it appear that selecting “member” only meant free shipping. The membership fee was not clearly disclosed, and there was no obvious warning that I was enrolling in a recurring paid program.
I realized the mistake immediately after placing the order and canceled the membership right away. However:
There was no clear option to cancel the order
Customer support refused to help
They claimed the membership was “used” simply because the order processed
Requests to escalate the issue were ignored
Follow-up messages were never answered
This feels like a deliberate dark-pattern checkout design targeting first-time customers. I was given no reasonable opportunity to correct an honest mistake, yet still charged a fee I never knowingly agreed to.
This experience shows poor transparency, unfair policies, and unacceptable customer service. I strongly warn new customers to be extremely careful — or avoid this company entirely — unless you are comfortable being locked into fees with no real recourse.
I expect businesses to be honest and responsive. MorningSave was neither.

I haven't received my merchandise that I ordered back on Oct 31st. My tracking information stated the estimated date to arrive was Nov 17th then later updated to Nov 25th. I could understand the length being I live in Hawaii. On Nov 30th i checked on my package through the tracking number supplied to me to find it never moved since Nov 11th and it was still in California. I contacted Side Deal twice before I got a response from Samantha. She replied with information that I already knew. After explaining my find twice to her and made up my mind to dispute the charge to my card, she decided to send a full refund back to me. I appreciated her understanding and handling the situations with professionalism. I received a notice from my bank and email from Side Deal that a refund was in progress. Thank you Side Deal for the amazing resolution to my list package.

Had an issue with a product and I emailed MorningSave. Much to my surprise, they replied in a few hours and not days later. The rep named, Sean, was very helpful. He explained a few things about the product and then proceeded to give professional service with a quick solution. Wish all companies had a rep like Sean!

I have an item I just ordered and it came in and it's not working and I have yet to hear from them. No matter what the savings is if the item is defective or broken you're stuck with it that is not a savings.

Caitlin was of great help. I had ordered 2 necklaces from one of your shows for $19.99 each. When they arrived-in person- gorgeous! I wanted another 2. Went on one of the shows and found it. However, now $29.99. I still wanted although $10 more then initial order. The next day I was browsing and found them on a different show for $19.99. I saw too late to cancel my order. I emailed asking if you could price match. Caitlin responded saying “No”. However, she cancelled my order and supplied the link to reorder at the lower price. That’s what I did. She assured me that my credit card was issued a credit. And I now await my new orders. Thanks Caitlin for all of your help.

I have had the best customer service experience with your tech named Jackie. I had an issue with a product I purchased and Jackie responded in a very timely manner and with concern. You don’t get to much great customer service hardly anymore so what a breath of fresh air! Thank you for having a tech that cares like Jackie does.

I had ordered some Christmas lights which came promptly. Unfortunately I had an issue in trying to install the batteries – – they were impossible to get into the battery unit, no matter how I tried. I contacted MorningSave to return the items. Jackie, one of their customer representatives, assisted me with my issue and ultimately they gave me a full refund. Very pleased with their customer service and how they back the products sold by them.

I ordered a 7 PC jewelry set, one of the bracelets was broken. I reported this to the company. The next day I received an email from Jackie apologizing and informed me the entire set would be replaced at no charge to me. I received the replacement within 3 days! Great job Jackie!

When I tried to contact customer service, I did not receive any callback nor an email that indicated it had been read. The manner in which you reply to the emails is not reassuring. That being said, once I heard from Jackie the process moved quickly and efficiently. But the consternation I felt prior needs to be addressed on your end

First of all, the slippers were very nice. The only thing wrong was that they were mismarked in the description with the sizing. I ordered what I thought I should and they were too small. I explained the situation to Sean and he graciously refunded my entire purchase price back to my credit card. Furthermore, he didn't ask for the smaller slippers to be returned. I have two friends with smaller feet. They will be thrilled with the gift. Thanks so much Sean. Great customer service!
