I was sent a sim card that was apparently inactive and have consequently now had to have numerous phone calls in order to close the account. I would not recommend and advise to stay away.

Cannot set up data only SIM card for a…

Cannot set up data only SIM card for a cellular iPad because Asda mobile only verifies and validates using text messages which is not possible via an iPad which only uses iMessages therefore the communication platform of texts is not available. Shame because Asda is ordinarily an excellent provider but not when provision is for a device without a text message facility. Other providers use emails instead so are not a problem but Asda does not.

Poor outcome

Received sim next day. When it wouldn't connect contacted customer service. Was told sim had arrived before it had been recorded on the system and should be ready next day. After another two days still not working. Contacted customer service only to be told it wasn't an Asda number and was a clone! After a lot of tooing and froing, cancelled the contract.
