I am writing to provide feedback on Dr Joana Monteiro Sequeira who I have been using through Mindler.
I truly do not think I will ever be able to fully express how grateful I am for the support, guidance, and care I have received. I came to Dr Joana during one of the most challenging and emotionally overwhelming seasons of my and my husband’s lives — a time when everything felt uncertain and fragile. What could have broken our relationship, instead became the beginning of something stronger, and that is largely because of Dr Joana.
She is an exceptional therapist. Not only does she create a safe, calm, and completely non-judgmental space within each session, but she also encourage and equipped us to do the real work outside of it. The growth didn’t just happen in the room — it continued between sessions because of the tools, reflection, and accountability she so thoughtfully gave us.
Her ability to balance compassion with honesty is remarkable. She gently challenged us when we needed it, helped us rebuild trust and communication, and guided us back to truly seeing and understanding one another. She has a way of helping us face hard truths without ever feeling criticised — only supported.
What has meant even more is her flexibility and willingness to be available when we needed support most. During moments that felt urgent or overwhelming, she showed up by rescheduling appointments. That level of care made us feel genuinely held and supported through it all.
Because of her dedication, insight, and steady guidance, our relationship has been transformed into something healthier, deeper, and more connected than ever before. I will always be thankful for the role she has played in helping us rebuild our foundation.

This was my first experience of therapy and I'm so glad it was. I was referred through Vitality and it felt foreign to be able to choose a therapist based off of a profile, but it led me to Megan and she was phenomenal. I had 8 sessions and I've never felt so seen and heard, she adapted her approach to my needs and despite it being on a video call, Megan curated the safest space for our conversations. After experiencing therapy sessions with the NHS it's only highlighted how much of a gem Megan is, almost feel a bit nostalgic!
I'm really grateful and if I ever come back, I know where I'm going. I was in a very dark empty place but right now? I'm grounded, resilient, and mindful of what's going on around me. Focused on being present in the moment rather than drowning in past trauma or overthinking other people's intentions. I might wobble but I can recognise habits that have a positive impact on my life now and how I can make small steps in the right direction.

I randomly came across mindler when scrolling around on Instagram, I wasn’t too sure how it worked but you choose your therapist and you stick with them (unless you wanna change) for all the sessions and they nicely book it for you thereafter.
I had Lydia ling, she was passionate knowledgeable, encouraging, understanding and a lovely person given this was the first time I was doing therapy of any kind.
I really appreciated all the lessons she provided me after the session.
It would be great if you could always stay logged in to the app but otherwise it’s not a big deal.
I would definitely recommend this to everyone.

I used Mindler through a vitality referral and it changed my life. Kavita was the best therapist ever. You can choose a therapist who best suits you from the description and it might look like there aren’t any recurring slots but your therapist will sort your next session for you. I managed to get in at the same time every week which suited me

I was able to choose my therapist based on their areas of expertise and attitude to therapy and change them if needed but I didn't need to. They are well organised with reminders for sessions and regular questionnaires to track your progress. They also have lots of additional support documents you can access. Their focus is on supporting and guiding you to engage with your thoughts and your emotions and manage them to enable you to then carry on by yourself. They use several methods to achieve this goal and the one I benefitted from most was compassion based therapy. Their service has enabled me to not be a slave to fear and negative thinking which has greatly improved my quality of life. I would highly recommend them to anyone, but especially to people who are nervous about therapy and scared of being judged as weak.

Selecting a therapist is so tricky with Mindler. I looked through the list and picked someone who I thought could help. The nearest appointment was two weeks away but I thought ok, it’ll be worth it. The morning of the appointment, she cancelled. The next available appointment was the following Monday at the same time, so I booked that. The weekend before the appointment I had a message from her saying she wasn’t able to take me on because she was unwell.
So, after three weeks I went back to the drawing board. I eventually managed to find another therapist but the first available appointment was another 10 days away…
So I finally get to my first session, at this point it was around about a month after I had been referred to Mindler for support. The therapist was 20 minutes late to the session - by the time she arrived I was nearly in tears (a combination of frustration plus fear that she wouldn’t ever come). She said she could make up the time at the end, but I had to work. I’d actually originally left 10 mins padding so I could reset before continuing my work day… instead I went straight into a meeting.
I had a second session with her which was ok but not hugely practical (and I had said I was looking for advice around coping strategies, reframing etc.). We booked a third session but she cancelled it the day before (no reason was given).
I honestly can’t face trying to find a new time with her and/or pick another therapist through this service. I feel like I haven’t had decent support - in fact I’ve had an extra layer of feeling messed around and rejected.
I’m very disappointed this is the system Vitality has gone with now - the offering via Nuffield was much better.

I had a very positive experience addressing my anxiety and depression with therapist Anna Olszewska. After my sessions I now feel equipped with the necessary tools to manage my stress more effectively with an improved and healthier mindset.
Anna was professional, supportive and provided helpful resources tailored to my needs. Highly recommend.
The Mindler app was easy to use and worked smoothly throughout my sessions. Any communication and scheduling was easy to follow. The app also includes a vast amount of useful material to read through.

I’m very grateful to have used this service using my Vitality benefits through work. I’ve been recommending Mindler already to many of my coworkers and friends, as the app is easy to navigate, and flow for selecting your therapist feels in your control especially with the specialism tags. I connected with an incredible therapist (Alina Irini) the first time who could understand and empathise with my various issues and anxieties (and the few things that tied them all together and were easier to reframe!) - I couldn’t have imagined having someone better equipped. Mindler has a very good quality choice of qualified therapists and I’m incredibly satisfied.

I didn’t have expectations, trust or hope for the app initially, but it turned out to be absolutely amazing! My therapist Amy Bell-Burrows is the best therapist that happend to me. She explains complex things that are happening in my brain in an easy clear way. She is very nice, supportive, knowledgeable. I do sincerely recommend the app and therapists I worked with (Amy and Hiba).
They are also very fast in providing documentation, keeping clear notes.
We had around 15 sessions and each time it was better and better. I recommend !

The content and delivery was exceptional and covered all my fears and concerns. I was always sceptical about CBT but I honestly believe it as turned my life around and I can honestly say to those stuggling with anxiety, fear or anything CBT is designed for then give it a try as what do you have to lose. My therapist Hiba wa so understanding and made the course easy to follow and use the techniques and is highly recommended. Good Luck Alan

Avoid. Absolutely abysmal app and service.
Firstly, their booking system is completely flawed. If you have to cancel a session there is little to no way of booking with the same therapist in app if the therapist has no upcoming slots. If so, they suggest you book your next session with another therapist. This flys in the face of the whole principle of the therapist/client relationship and shows Mindler clearly has no grasp on how therapy works.
Secondly the app is so buggy that I've had sessions not cancel when I've tried to cancel them at which point Mindler send you an invoice for £90 for a missed session.

I found this service a waste of time. Tried two different therapists. Seems like a cookie cutter service, rather than a real therapy. No actual value was provided- no advice how to deal with my anxiety and any help was provided. Just a waste of money and my time. Don’t recommend.
I have spent over a few month and 8 or so sessions with 2 different therapists that have been selected by the customer service team based on my issues and concerns. When I asked to find a different therapists, I advised that I felt like working with the first one was a waste of time as no practical suggestions were provided to help me with my anxiety and post natal. The second therapist was as bad as the first one. I didn’t feel anyone listened to me and I felt helpless as there was no support that I needed provided (e.g. practical suggestions how to deal with anxiety that would work for me). The suggestion to find another therapist seems a bit pointless if the first two couldn't get their job done.

Anna creates a safe and validating environment, always respecting and affirming neurological differences. She also adapts her approach to fit each person’s unique needs, offering practical strategies and coping methods that truly help. If you’re looking for someone who really gets neurodiversity and offers thoughtful, tailored support, Anna is an excellent choice.

Syrita was BRILLIANT. Clear, calm and super respectful - really enjoyed our sessions and took a lot away from them.
The Mindler platform is great - all content and meetings are scheduled in app and you can use a different device if you prefer not to hold your phone for 50 mins!

You have to make an appointment via text message and there is no response despite numerous requests. It’s been almost 2 weeks waiting for an initial appointment for my son. I could have got in touch with a counsellor in this time and started his first appointment by now

I was at my wits end over Christmas with a severe hormone inbalance that made me feel like I was losing my mind. I was riddled with anxiety, panic and the tears just wouldn't stop. I found Mindler through my Vitality app, they got me in front of a Therapist within 24 hours and on a route back to normality within 30 minutes of talkign to Amy. I'm not one for therapy, I'm not a talker but Amy really spoke sense to me and her reassurance and guidance helped more than she'll ever know. Would highly recommend and the app will remain on my phone - just in case!

I had regular CBT sessions with Susie Townsend due to anxiety and other symptoms that saw me take a prolonged break from work. Susie was compassionate and approachable, she really helped me change my mindset. By the time I had completed my 8 sessions I was back at work, making plans for the future and feeling much more confident in myself.

Lia was so kind and easy to talk to. It was clear to me over time that she really understood me via the questions she asked and the advice she gave. She's taught me lessons and equipped me with tools which have made my life so much better.
