We put our trust with Miller Metcalfe to sell our house. They were diligent and 'on it' throughout. Once we had a buyer Amy in the sales team looked after us and she was simply amazing! She ensured to keep us up to date as well as keeping both parties' solicitors on their toes. Really pleased we used Miller Metcalfe.

I marked a 2 for this review as despite selling my property, they are associated with Conveyancing Experts and are selling a combined package of estate agency and convenyancing. This is what brought the score down. By all means use Miller Metcalf, but I would recommend that you DO NOT buying their conveyancing service. It will leave you stressed and potentially in breach of contract just like our buyers - we now have a post sale mess to sort out!!!
I have now used miller metclafe bolton as a buyer and for them to find me a tenant, and on both occasions the service was great would highly recommend,Kylie helped with the buying process and kept me up to date and Amy found me great tenants within 2 weeks thanks again.

Everyone I have spoken to has been very pleasant, particularly at the start when they wanted the business. Once the property went live there were mix ups about viewings and also wrong information about who had made an offer. Once the offer was accepted we heard nothing from them until I got a call asking if we had completed. We were far from completing and it turned out they had mixed us up with another property. My main issue is their failure to ring back when they say they will. Nice people but very poor communication. Won’t be using again.

Paige and Amy in the lettings department have been excellent. They don't miss a trick and communicate every step. Would deffo recommend using them if you have a buy to let property.

After valuing our property considerably higher than the local competition, I was very happy when the property sold in 4 day for asking price. The market was red hot however, but still I cannot complain about that aspect.
All the viewings were conducted by myself, which was my choice, as I was working from home at the time. Our house sold in 4 days for asking price. Overall, aside from a few small issues with inaccurate floorplans, Miller Metcalfe did a good job of creating the listing on Rightmove and arranging the viewings, 4 in total.
As we were purchasing a new-build, and were in a small chain, the purchasing process proved to be incredibly stressful, due to the fact our developer was pressuring us to exchange and there were issues in the chain that needed to be ironed out.
Throughout this Miller Metcalfe did the bare minimum and ended up being of very little help at all. I'd hoped that as less effort was required from them in the early stages of the sale, I would have perhaps been compensated by extra effort thought-out the conveyancing process. That was not the case.
I had other parties in the process complain to me about their lack of cooperation and had to constantly chase for updates, often being promised a call back, but never receiving one. At one point when our purchase was under threat due to lack of progress my case handler went on holiday and failed to update a colleague of the deadlines we faced. A very blasè approach to managing what, for us, was a super stressful situation. They were of zero use in the last 6 weeks of the sale process. If, on the off chance, they did call, it was to provide me with useless, out of date information, as they basically had no idea where the process was up to.
If you’re looking for an estate agent to just sell your house, then they are ok. If you’re looking for an estate agent that will also proactively assist during the conveyancing process and provide you with updates then forget it.
As they were considerably more expensive than the local competition I’d negotiated a lower fee. However, I feel this resulted in me receiving a substandard level of service. Overall I’d say they represent incredibly poor value for money.
After emailing one of the directors asking exactly what I was paying for, and not receiving a reply, it told me everything I needed to know about Miller Metcalfe.
Avoid.

We used Miller Metcalfe for the sale of our property and they also bought our new home through them. Have to say Amy and Charlotte and the Bury office were absolutely fantastic and would definitely recommend.

I’ve been meaning to leave this review for a while now; such was the impression that was made. I just have an awful memory so my apologies for that! Primarily we dealt with Paige from Miller Metcalfe Bolton on a rental property that we showed great interest in. She would call and provide regular updates on the property and the application process, and was always on hand and helpful whenever I needed to call and further mither the poor girl. I’d say we couldn’t have asked for more from her. Now we have our home, and we’re happy and settled! Thanks guys!
Andrew

Miller Metcalfe’s Swinton office did a great job selling our house. And in the last few weeks of the sale, manager Zoe was fantastic, dealing with the buyers and our solicitor to ensure completion to a very tight deadline. She saved us loads of work and stress. Great service. Thank you.

Both Paige & Amy @ BoltonMillerMetcalfe have been absolutely fantastic! They have both been very patient and kept me up to date in the loop with every update right through to the end point of application/moving in. Fab service ladies! Keep it up :)

After a few misfires, we dropped lucky with Clare & team.
From the early very professional survey visit to the final pushing the chain to get the sale through, we were in good hands AND there was a pandemic on plus the madness of the stamp duty holiday.
You were friendly & approachable, committed & dogged & always professional.
We are very glad we chose you!!

We have rented a property from them and I can't say how great they were. We had a lady called paige and she could not do enough to help us she was there the whole time if and when we needed it

Having worked with Miller Metcalfe Bolton on several properties over the last 12 months each time they have provide me not only 5* service but I genuinely trust them with my business. Both Amy and Karen are superstars and over the course of 3 sales kept me in touch at all times as well as pushing the sales through with the buyers. Literally wouldn’t use anyone else. Thank you ladies.

Unfortunately I am interested in a house on their books, trying to get them to put forward the offer and let their vendor reply to the offer has been awful, they have put so many obstacles in the way I am having to now look at other properties as I can't wait for them to decide when and if the vendor can respond

So unprofessional! Originally told us earliest availability was 6 days away. When I called back to confirm (after me and my partner booking time off work) I was informed there was an appointment tomorrow at 12. We both then booked more time off work and confirmed the appointment with Amy. Fast forward to today at 12 and we had to call to see where everyone was we were told our appointment was 11:15. We didn’t get an appointment confirmation because Amy took my email down wrong and we didn’t get a phone call because the agent was older and didn’t want to call us to see where we were on her mobile. When I asked if they couldn’t do the appointment now as we’ve taken time off work and traveled a long way we were told ‘HE has already left and is now in Bury’ but when I asked about the phone call I was told ‘ the agent is an older lady and didn’t want to use her mobile for a business call’. Really don’t know how Amy still has a job as she’s just lost you a lot of business. Contradicted herself repeatedly and can’t even take down an email address.

Shocking customer service. We went to view a property and were kept waiting outside in the pouring rain.
After 5 mins of waiting outside. I asked the estate agent who was conducting the viewing to just wait in the car.
No apologies for running late, no wanting to make us feel welcomed or valued .
We turned and left without viewing the property. We both felt that we didn’t want anything to do with MM if that’s the way they treat potential buyers.
Rude , unwelcoming and couldn’t care less was the impression we have and will definitely not be ever using MM to buy or sell with !
** in answer to your Reply:
All of what you state is correct.
It was the uninviting and less then helpful attitude of your agent.
She was far from apologetic nor was she welcoming !
And the fact that no one contacted us as a matter of courtesy to say that the viewings were running late coupled with what both my wife and I felt was very rude.
It’s not acceptable to have that attitude to prospective buyers
Your apology is far from that! and I feel that you are simply paying lip service .
You did indeed fall short and in the light of this pathetic excuse for an apology
Did no one ever explain that putting “ I am sorry that you feel “ which precedes an apology Is NOT in any way a meaningful apology .
The manner in which MM has approached my complaint has been very shabby and I will NEVER do business with such a company whose customer care is so woefully lacking in genuineness and warmth.
