Having been a client of Miles & Barr for a number of years now, we have always experienced exceptional service, particularly from the Regional Team Manager (Michelle Purse) at Miles and Barr, Ramsgate, who is very diligent in ensuring that our properties are managed to a high standard and are compliant with all legislation.
I had a wonderful experience dealing with Miles & Barr, Emily was outstanding and so helpful and friendly. She kept me updated constantly and was always putting my mind at rest. Would throughly recommend them. Big thank you to Emily ❤️

I’m giving the company, Miles and Barr, only 3 stars because to be honest they are hopeless. I’ve had so many problems with them due to the lack of last minute information and requests that at one point I was seriously considering taking my business to another company.
Having said that there is one person who is outstanding.

She is an absolute credit to the company. Always extremely pleasant, helpful in every way, answers any questions I may have, always emails or calls me back when asked, and sorts out any issues I may have. If it were possible I would give Diane 100 stars. In my opinion she should be running the company and the company would be a lot better off if she were.
MY EXPERIENCE OF WORKING WITH PROPERTY MANAGER MICHELLE PURSE.
In October 2022 I bought a house in Ramsgate which was converted into three flats, all of which are tenanted.
I was aware that Miles & Barr were the Letting Agents so was introduced to Michelle. From the first meeting I liked and trusted her.
Following on I made the rather foolish decision to tackle the innumerable problems which came with the property myself, employing roofers, scaffolders, builders, gas engineers, plumbers, decorators which was a costly mistake on my part.
Some of the tenants can be quite demanding and having arranged for a plumber to fix an issue, resulting in a much worse problem, I decided I needed to leave it to the professionals, which is what Michelle is.
Since then Michelle has resolved a vast number of problems, from external works, new flooring, replacement bathrooms, and many smaller remedial works.
She informs me in advance of compliance requirements, then arranges for one of her stable of contractors to simply go to the house and deal with such things as EICR’s Gas inspections, faulty locks etc.
When I submit my End of Year Tax, she sends me a break down of rental income and expenses to forward to my accountant.
All these responsibilities she removes from my shoulders, especially now RRA has been introduced, with good humour, unfailing reliability, and expertise.
I can honestly say that without her assistance, I would probably have decided to leave the PRS and sell up.
She really is a lovely woman, knowledgeable, helpful, funny, so I am extremely grateful to have won the lottery when it comes to my Property Manager Michelle.
Our dealings with our property Manager at Miles and Barr have been good. They are usually available (or if not will return your call), willing to listen, and quick to act. If they say they will investigate an issue they will.
Although it took a long time the sale eventually went through. The team were generally good and Rebecca was very helpful.
I've had an excellent experience with Miles & Barr, especially Jadie Hards. She has been incredibly friendly, professional and supportive throughout the whole process. Jadie kept me informed every step of the way, answered all my questions promptly and made what could have been a very stressful time much easier.
Her communication has been outstanding, and nothing has ever seemed too much trouble. I truly appreciate all the help and support she has given me while preparing for my move. She is a real credit to Miles & Barr.
I would highly recommend Miles & Barr, and especially Jadie Hards, to anyone looking for a professional, reliable and caring letting agent. Thank you so much for everything.

From start to finish, Miles and Barr have been amazing. Josh was my first contact for the viewing and was very helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. All the staff that I interacted with were great and Becky was the best! She worked tirelessly as my Sales Progressor and I don’t think it would have happened without her, due to issues with solicitors in the chain. Even though it wasn’t related to the purchase, she jumped in and help to get everything across the line.
I have rented out my flat through Miles & Barr for many years and found them to be very efficient. I can’t say I have had any problems which have not been able to sort. They have always put excellent tenants in my flat and dealt with any problems the tenants might have promptly and without any fuss. My current property manager Lisa Stamp is great she is very friendly and if I require anything she delivers almost immediately in a friendly and efficient manner. I am very happy with her.

Very good service from the viewing agent and also those that helped initially, as well as contact/liaising/updates with Becky White throughout. I am happy with all of the help received from the team at the Ramsgate office of Miles & Barr, Grateful thanks.
My interactions with Michelle Purse, in particular, who is always courteous and extremely thorough and Gillian were both productive and professional in their manner.
I do feel the Directors should consider much lower fees when renewing Rental Agreements for a new Tenant, where a Landlord has already been paying monthly Management Fees without having to be asked or negotiated down. Disappointing.

The service is great! It really takes the stress and any annoyance out of our lives. We have full trust in the team and always think that quotes are reasonably priced.
I was a tenant with Miles & Barr for 3 years. They were quite slow to get problems sorted out, and at the end of my tenancy they created confusion/worry for me as they did not seem to know that my moving out date had already been decided and told me I needed to give 2 months' notice, which I didn't need to.
Debbie Mead has been absolutely wonderful throughout. She has kept me up to date throughout all the proceedings. Has always been available to answer all my questions in full and has put me at ease.
